I bought it online from Boots Kitchen appliances for £160 a year ago and so far so good, its been reliable and kept us fed! The main thing that led me to buy this particular cooker was the price, it was the cheapest fan oven that I could find and I was on a tight budget. Having previously had a fan oven I wasn't willing to comprimise and go for a convection oven which are often cheaper, this model was ideal. I also knew that Tricity Bendix was a well known and popular brand. According to the person that installed it for me, it was very easy to fit, you do need to supply your own cable and most companies you buy from offer an installation service for an extra charge...

The worst dishwasher I have ever used

Advantages: Slim-line, inexpensive model
Disadvantages: Poor wash quality, 'eco' settings therefore redundant

...Wow. What can I say about this dishwasher without being truly offensive? We bought the Tricity Bendix because we needed a slimline machine to fit into our kitchen when we moved house. With one toddler and another on the way, we needed to get a machine that could at least clear away the bulk of the washing-up: even a small one was better than nothing! The brand we chose was not in stock, so we had to settle for the only other slimline machine they had. The Tricity Bendix did not look as good as the other model but was about £10 cheaper and we were buying a lot of other white goods at the same time. Needless to say, we now wish we'd waited for our original choice! My complaints about this washer are nothing to do with its size. I love my machine!

Advantages: Washes perfectly
Disadvantages: A little slow

...Bought this machine just before Christmas 2005 and I LOVE it. Went for the Tricity Bendix again as my previous washing machine served me for 12 good years of continual use (only changed it as it was looking dated - its still going strong now with a neighbour). The features are excellent - none of that unecessary digital doings, this just does what it needs to. A good selection of programmes that keep whites WHITE. The cycles do take almost two hours for an ordinary 40 degree wash - but it takes larger loads and has a great spin speed. This would be a great machine for the larger family where loads are slightly larger, but also ideal for single person, couple or small family. A basic looking machine with great features - buy one today! This machine is so quiet!!...

Cheap but Crap

...We have had a Tricity President electric cooker for 4 years. Whilst it was cheap at the time, this one has been a waste of money. The door seals fell off in weeks. The door catch came apart soon after. The oven heater element packed up after 12 months. The hotplates have all failed and had to be replaced. The hotplate supports rusted and broke and had to be replaced. Now the top itself which supports the plates has rusted, and the plates have had to be supported on blocks!A friend who bought the same model just before we did has had identical problems.We would certainly never consider buying another Tricity cooker....

dazzling dishes

Advantages: space saving size that can still hold a large family load.
Disadvantages: having to remove lower basket and washing arm to clean large filter.

...After fifteen years of nagging and countless hints of how everyone but me had a dishwasher , my husband finally gave in and we purchased the 45cm Tricity Bendix . The main reason for choosing the slimmer model was purely lack of space in the kitchen and I must admit I did feel a bit dubious about the size because we have four children who create an awful lot of washing up.The dishwasher is advertised as being able to take eight place settings,and although I think that eight would be a bit of a squash it easily had enough room for the plates etc from the six of us and still had plenty of room for a couple of saucepans as well.All the washing came out looking like new , and I have now found after having had it for a few weeks that old tarnished cutlery has regained it,s gleaming new look.The controls are clear to use and although...
