...Tricity Bendix SIE233 - White The Tricity Bendix SIE233 cooker is all electric and has a combined grill and fan oven with four hot plates on the hob. I bought it online from Boots Kitchen appliances for £160 a year ago and so far so good, its been reliable and kept us fed! The main thing that led me to buy this particular cooker was the price, it was the cheapest fan oven that I could find and I was on a tight budget. Having previously had a fan oven I wasn't willing to comprimise and go for a convection oven which are often cheaper, this model was ideal. I also knew that Tricity Bendix was a well known and popular brand. According to the person that installed it for me, it was very easy to fit, you do need to supply your own cable and most companies you buy from offer an installation service for an extra charge... ...I have a tricity bendix DH090 slimline dishwashe, i don't know if thats an ecosave washer or not, but i'm writing my opinion here anyway. I bought my dishwasher from choice catalogue last may, it cost me £237.49, in fact im still paying for it. When i first received my dishwasher i was all excited, I thought to myself, ( no more washing dishing, getting my hand all dry and wrinkly.) I couldnt wait to get some dishes in and get it started. It went all good and well until one day a few weeks ago when I emptied it and tried to close the door. It wouldnt close. I pushed and pushed and it still wouldnt close. ...Wow. What can I say about this dishwasher without being truly offensive? We bought the Tricity Bendix because we needed a slimline machine to fit into our kitchen when we moved house. With one toddler and another on the way, we needed to get a machine that could at least clear away the bulk of the washing-up: even a small one was better than nothing! The brand we chose was not in stock, so we had to settle for the only other slimline machine they had. The Tricity Bendix did not look as good as the other model but was about £10 cheaper and we were buying a lot of other white goods at the same time. Needless to say, we now wish we'd waited for our original choice! My complaints about this washer are nothing to do with its size. ...Anyone who knows me knows that I don't have much luck with anything electrical. I have been married for 6 years and in this time I have had 5 washing machines. When my last washing machine broke we couldn't afford a new one so I was constantly taking my washing to my mums, which is quite difficult when you have three messy kids. My mum finally got sick of doing my washing and thought she would buy me a washing machine for my birthday. This was last April. Now my mum and dad are very smart when it comes to purchasing things. Advantages: good quality, easy to use and inexpensive
Disadvantages: ceramic hob stays warm for quite a while after switch off.

...I bought this cooker 4 years ago now and have had no problems with it, it has been extremely reliable. ~Ceramic Hob~ The ceramic hob has four hot plates, these heat up very quickly so use less energy than traditional solid plates. The front left hotplate is an 1800w rapid plate, and the other three are rear left and front right at 1200 w and rear right is 1700w. ~Main Oven~ It has a large main oven that is fan assisted, which means more even cooking of food. It has a 53ltr capacity and has two removable shelves. You get good even food cooking and it has a B rating for energy efficiency, this is not the best but not the worst as best is an A. ~Second Oven/ Grill~ The second oven has also got a B rating for energy efficiency. ...We have had a Tricity President electric cooker for 4 years. Whilst it was cheap at the time, this one has been a waste of money. The door seals fell off in weeks. The door catch came apart soon after. The oven heater element packed up after 12 months. The hotplates have all failed and had to be replaced. The hotplate supports rusted and broke and had to be replaced. Now the top itself which supports the plates has rusted, and the plates have had to be supported on blocks!A friend who bought the same model just before we did has had identical problems.We would certainly never consider buying another Tricity cooker....
