...impression was... "I really think this product is great." Tastes lovely! To be honest at first I was slightly dubious (I mean strawberry and lime doesn't really sound like the greatest combination does it!!?) But it tastes more like strawberry more than anything. I think the best way to describe the taste is to say it tastes remotely like the Hubba Bubba strawberry bubble gum. However there is definantly a tendency to want to swallow this product, which obviously is bad for your health. Also where Hubba Bubba has the reputation of not being sticky when blowing bubbes, this is not the same, and the product is full of "E" numbers. On the plus side Trident Splash is Sugar free! I was forever buying packets of endless flavours, but I could not find one that was satisfying. One brand had a really dull and short taste, while others were difficult to chew and quite rubbery. Nothing seemed to work for me… After seeing an advert on TV, the first thing that caught my eye about this all-new Trident flavour was its attractive packaging. ...Being a smoker (I know, I know, I really should at least try and give up!), I am a bit of a chewing gum addict and always have a packet in the car. I don’t like thinking that I will breathe stale ciggie breath over my colleges so always have a bit of a chew when on my way to work. I also like a bit of gum when I a stuck in traffic and a thirst suddenly develops. I hate the feeling of having a dry mouth and a good chew always cures that as it gets the saliva going. Usually, I stick to good old Wrigley’s Extra as they are nice a minty. I had also seen the appalling ads on telly for Trident that had put me off ever getting this brand before. ...Every once in a while, a new product will come to market and make a big splash (no pun intended) with an over the top marketing campaign which aims to get the kids in on the job. Trident soft are not achieving this, and a cult like status is not secured for their frankly annoying adverts (somehow linking a Carribbean style with that of chewing gum?), which means they have to rely on the strength of the product for it to sell. Which is where the problem lies. Selling for around 50p a packet, almost double the market price for a regular packet of chewing (Extra peppermint, for example), Trident's innovative 'liquid centre' chewing gum aims to offer a completely different sensation from other brands. ...I buy a pack of Trident Soft Tropical Twist mostly every week, I buy it because I smoke and I work in a childrens Nursery and I dont like turning up to work smelling of smoke... I know gum doesnt totally get rid of the smell but it helps. Trident Soft Tropical Twist is packaged well in a cardboard box, the box opens like an envelope and reveals 14 pieces of gum that are wrapped in individual wrappers. The box is a bright orange colour which is attractive and makes it stand out from the other types of gum. I love the taste of this gum as it seems to last forever, you could chew it for a couple of hours and the taste still be there. It is a little bit sour at first but that wears off and the taste remains. The gum pieces are very soft and I even manage to blow quite good bubbles with it. The box of 14 pieces costs around 69p... ...When you bite into a trident piece of chewing gum there is an immediate refreshing sensation of lime but it does not last longer than 10 seconds. It is quickly replaced by an extremely strong strawberry flavour which lasts for a good 10 minutes chew. It is not unlike a strawberry flavoured chewy sweet. The gum itself is about the size of the ALT button on your keyboard coated in white with a green centre. The pack claims it is sugarfree but it is sweeter than any other gum I know. Trident splash chewing gum comes in a pack of 9 strawberry and lime flavoured pieces. It is one of the Trident series of chewing gums,other flavours are vanilla/mint and peach. ...I felt I should write a review about this come to warn others of it's disgusting flavour. Don't get me wrong, normally I like fruity gum but there is something about Trident Soft Tropical Twist chewing gum that I can't stand. The packaging ************ It comes in a sleeve type box that opens like a folder. It is bright orange colour which suits the tropical flavour. There are the words 'Trident Soft' I bold writing on the front. In the box *********** In the box you will find 14 individually wrapped sticks of Orange/peach coloured gum The taste ******** Firstly I think the peachy/fruity taste is just too strong and sickly, but it seems to have a hint of mint in there too.
