...CarPlan Black Trim Wax is a new addition to the car cleaning section of my garage. I bought this recently from the local car shop for £4.99 or there abouts for a 375ml bottle. Trim wax is a little like black shoe polish. You apply it to all of the black trim on your car then buff it off to restore the black and give the plastic a good all round shine. I bought this for my wifes Renault which was getting on a bit and about to be sold in the paper. The trim on the car was more than a little dated through wear and general road use. I was nearer to a grey color than black. PREP and STUFF As you may expect, Trim wax is just a large bottle of black die polish and it stains very very well as my jeans still have the marks. This is a brilliant trimmer- lightweight and easy to use.It is guarded well and painless even on young children. Cuts even long hair. The clipper has a built in trimmer. There are 10 graded combs to attach if required. Oil is included. Cleaning brush. Blade guard. Scissors. Comb Flat top comb Cape. Neck duster. Handy storage case. I paid £45.00 and it has repaid me several times over. It's so good I might set up as a home hairdresser, or maybe not. The size Ciao has as the title is fifteen inch, although this company like all the others makes them in 13, 15 & 16 inch versions too. ...Appearance: The Remington BKT (bikini trim&shape^TM)2000 is quite a friendly looking piece of kit. It comes in its own little mesh storage bag, together with an instructon manual, charger, cleaning brush & maintenance oil. Everything except the charger fits into the little bag quite nicely. With the charger however, it's a bit of a squeeze! The shaver fits the hand nicely, & has an attractive metallic pink colour. It feels light & maneuverable. Use & Function: Before your first use, you need to charge the shaver unit for 14 hours, so best get out the safety scissors in you are in a hurry. The detachable trimmer comb has five length settings. These settings allow you to trim safely around the bikini area, but if you are careful, you can remove the comb attachment & go freestyle! ...need to trim were fairly small so it wouldn't be overworked. The Midi has a 300W motor and a cutting head diameter of 23cm (9 inch), it weighs 2.7Kg (5.9 lbs) as opposed to the Pro which has a 500W motor, 29cm (11.4 inch) cutting head and weighs 3.5Kg (7.7lbs). Both models operate in the same way, with a rotary cutting blade encased in a protective cover with a safety shield on the front of the blade so that you can't accidentally cut through the cable (unlike traditional hedge cutters) and thus in my vied it is somewhat safer to use. However, as with all power tools, you do need to be safety conscious. You could injure yourself if you were foolish enough the put your fingers through the safety grille and they do recommend that you wear safety goggles or glasses and keep children and pets away from the area when you are using this... ...We are the not so proud owners of a Flymo Mini Trim. Our intention was to buy a 'no frills, near the bottom of the range, basic strimmer'. We compared the features of this particular model with all the other ones in the £15-£40 range and at £22 it seemed like the ideal buy. We already have a Flymo lawnmower which we're very pleased with, and we have experience of using a similar style Black & Decker strimmer, so we thought this Mini Trim would be ideal. The key feature that sold it for us was the auto feed. According to the sales literature it automatically feeds a small amount of the trimmer out each time you switch it on and it's trimmed to the exact length by an integral blade. I have to say, either we have a dud or it doesn't work. Every time I switch on the strimmer, it works ok providing I don't squeeze the trigger too... Read review
