Melia Cayo Coco

Advantages: Adults Only
Disadvantages: No Shopping/Entertainment outside of the hotels

..."Adults Only " my travel agent said to me, and my face lit up, you see, I was going to Cuba on my own, and there was no way that I was going to spend my holiday being annoyed by noisy kids playing at the pool or shouting about on the beach. No disrespect to people with children, I love kids, I just wanted peace and quiet for my two weeks away, basically I wanted to relax. I arrived at the Hotel early afternoon Cuba time, after the 20 min coach ride from Cayo Coco Airport, and the lovely reception staff informed me that my room was currently being serviced and I would have to wait about half hour until I could enter, she informed me that my all-inclusive status started immediatly and that i could get a cocktail from the lobby bar whilst i waited, and thank the holiday gods - no rediculous armband! I have chosen to stay in...

Tryp Cayo Coco, Relax and Explore

Advantages: Huge compex, right on the beach, Good food, great atmosphere!
Disadvantages: lacks character

...Visiting Cuba as a couple, we booked an All Inclusive package deal to the Tryp Cayo Coco, in September 2004. I booked through TVtravelshop.com, who were fantrastic We hadn't shopped around much and booked purely on the price. The Tryp is a very large complex expanding around a large complex of restaurants/bars shops and entertainment. with a large main pool and swim-up bar with ample space to get a much needed drink the comlex was perfect for relaxing by the pool in the constant heat. All Inclusive here did just what it said on the tin! everything-including international beers/drinks, more food than you could possibly eat at any time of day or night and an excellent choice too. The large main restaurant is buffet style with a wide choice of food for whatever you fancy. Food is basic but good quality. There are other...

dream holiday at sol cayo coco

Advantages: everything was fantastic
Disadvantages: coming home

...I must tell every body about my fantastic holiday to cayo coco. This is a cuban island just off the mainland of cuba. Cayo Coco lies within Ciego de Avila Province and is linked to the mainland by an artificial causeway 27 kms long. It is renowned for its luxurious all inclusive hotels. It has its own airport called Jardin del Rey, in operation since 2005 making it quick and easy to get to hotel instead of flying to mainland first. Approx 5-10 mins transfer to hotels in cayo coco. SOL CAYO COCO HOTEL Where do I start, absolutely fantastic and I recommend this hotel to all ages. All hotels in Cayo Coco are hotel based, no shops, bars or restaurants on the island other than those in hotels. Perfect for a rest and relaxation holiday in breathtaking surroundings. Dont get me wrong as you are not tied to your hotel as you can do...

Coco Mademoiselle - classy perfume

Advantages: smells GREAT, timeless, classic and fresh
Disadvantages: always slightly pricier than other perfumes

...The bottomline is that Chanels Coco Mademoiselle is a wondeful scent which exudes pure class. It is generally more expensive than other perfumes and you won't often catch it on sale or in a deal. But its worth it, because its not a trendy, sickly sweet or seasonal scent. You will be paying more because its a big brand name but also because its a classic. A much lighter, fresher and younger scent than chanels no.5 and others it is just the right thing for a young, sexy and classy scent. An ideal signature scent it is appropriate for day and evening wear and is not limited to seasons. Also ideal as a gift for wives or girlfriends - there aren't many people who don't love this perfume - she is bound to love this one!!...

Cookoo About Coco Mademoiselle

Advantages: Smells Devine & Sexy
Disadvantages: Expensive

...*****Background***** A couple of years ago an old boyfriend bought me a a bottle of COCO Mademoiselle Perfume as part of my christmas. I remember thinking at the time wow..... must have been expensive. You dont dare ask when its a gift do you. The reason why I was a bit shocked was we had only been together a couple of months. In fact that was a great christmas, I got spoilt rotten by him. Shame it didnt last ;-( Anyway I used to try and get into Boots and see how much it cost but he was always with me. Nightmare, I was just dead nosy thats all. When I saw the price at first I didnt know whether to frame it or wear it. As I had never had such an expensive perfume before. I only wore it for special occasions like if we went out to dinner or out for a romantic evening. The smell though was just sooooooo devine though I found...

Coco Mademoiselle Is A True Friend

Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: very popular, expensive

...notes. Coco Mademoiselle though is an exception. The lowest concentration, EDT, is created for a younger market. It is a slightly simplified version of the original. Personally I find it a little incomplete. Therefore the EDP version in my case. I got it cheaply some two years ago. The bottle was damaged, which lowered the price significantly. But it's the content that matters. The Chanel site lists the notes as follows: Top notes : Sicilian Orange, Calabrian Bergamot. Middle notes : Morning Rose, Oriental Jasmine. Base notes : Indonesian Patchouli, Haitian Vetiver, Vanilla from Réunion, White Musk The fragrance type is given as fresh/oriental, the character as charming sexy with a hint of masculinity. This probably seems rather abstract. So I hope that my experience will clear things up a bit. My first...

Fantastic value, but not the lap of luxury we were hoping for

Advantages: Everything included, gorgeous beaches, friendly staff.
Disadvantages: Not the real Cuba, trips are very expensive, needs refurbishment

...pedalos, kayaks and the laser boats. There is also mini golf, table football, giant chess, darts, pool, a gym, a jacuzzi, computers with internet connection, a hairdresser, a cigar shop and a shop selling crisps, drinks, toiletries and t-shirts (very random, I know). Trips: The trips are quite expensive, as Cayo Coco is miles away from anywhere. There are plenty to choose from depending on what kind of thing you want - from hiring speed boats to go snorkelling in the coral reef (which is apparently the second biggest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef) to visits to traditional Cuban towns. There is a trip to swim with dolphins that we considered, but it was about £200 per person and was an overnight trip with a lot of travelling and from what I could tell, you only actually got an afternoon with the dolphins. Obviously the trip...

Chanel, Coco Mademoselle

Advantages: Suitable for day or evening wear
Disadvantages: costly

...I have always liked the Chanel range of perfumes but felt that because they are quite heavy and spicey they are only really suitable for evening time. However, recently Chanel have launched a lighter more flowery perfume called Coco Mademoselle. Because it is quite pricey at between £45 and £60 a bottle I could not justify buying it for myself. So I was delighted when my staff who obviously think I am just a wonderful boss bought me some for Christmas!! This fragrance appears to appeal to both male and females as I have had many compliments whilst wearing it. It also has great staying power, usually most perfumes will dissappear half way through the day however, I find that I prefer to use it as an evening perfume probably due to the fact that it is so expensive and I want it to last as long as possible. Coco Chanel comes in...

Coco Chanel- ohhh Mademoiselle

Advantages: A fragrence which although long lasting does not kill your sense of smell
Disadvantages: Intoxication- is that necessarily a BAD thing?

...As any fashion conscious or remotely media-aware person, will know, Coco Chanel is the epitome of high quality and class. However, the original market for Chanel perfumes has traditionaly been for the middle-aged/ mature lady with her string pearled necklace. Coco Chanel have redressed the niche of the younger market to whom they have been missing out with the launch of this new perfume- Mademoiselle. In a strikingly familiar basic yet classical aesthetics, the box of the perfume is subtle and is not garish like some other brands of perfume ( of which I shall not name). The lid of the box is gold with the emblem of Chanel embossed on the top. The box itself is a pearlescent white, with simple inscriptions about the fragrance. One of the greatest pleasures is when you open the box, you get a subtle hint of the ragrance which makes you...

A great hotel if you're on a budget!

Advantages: Food, Pools, Beach 2 minutes away.
Disadvantages: Staff a bit hit and miss

...Me & my girlfriend went to Cuba in Jan/Feb 2008 staying in the Hotel Tryp, Cayo Coco. Before going we had read reviews, some very good, some not so good, however I like to make my own opinions. Now after flying 8 hours plus to Cuba we landed in Cayo Coco and were quickly through customs and on the coach to the hotel. The rep joked that it would be another 3 hours, but truthfully it only took about 10 minutes. Cayo Coco we were told is part of a group of islands just north of main land Cuba and that they were mostly dominated by hotels! And from what we saw, it was very true. Anyway, we arrived at the hotel in double quick time and were checked in within about 5 minutes. The reception staff were all very friendly throughout the holiday and always willing to help. We were told to leave our bags with the porters who would bring them to...
