korg triton An amazing keyboard
Review of Korg Triton by
jim2004
Advantages: Sounds that are out of this world
Disadvantages: cant thing of any realy.
...The korg Triton has for many years been the flagship of the company korg. it is used by many , many professionals , and has been used to produce songs for artist such as Kylie Minogue e and by the band no doubt. the keyboard . the triton features. Also rock legend Rick wakeman pretty much only uses korg keyboard and has a triton
* 425 multisamples
* 413 drum samples
* a built in sampler
* octave drop button ( this alows you to drop an octive instantly)
* expansion ports
* all the inputs and output ports you could possibly ask for!!
if you are concerned that this keyboard might not sound as good as the latest korg keyboard such as the extreme , mirco korg, dont. the korg triton uses the same software to produce the sound as the newest korg keyboard on the market and is a lot lot cheaper. you can expand on the sounds...

Korg N1 - not the best buy.
Review of Korg N1 by
Hmatt
Advantages: Incredible sound repetoire & sound editing.
Disadvantages: Time consuming interface & difficult to transport.
...at home this is no problem really. If you are paying for studio time, make sure you have all your bank/tone numbers written out before the clock starts ticking! At home it has on occasion taken me 30 minutes to find the sound I needed, even armed with it's name and a vague idea of where it was located.
If my N1 was destroyed (it would take half the American nuclear arsenal to do it, but imagining it were) and I were faced with replacing it, I would probably opt for one of the slightly more expensive Korg Triton range, as their touch screen menus are beautiful and much better laid out. They have much the same features, and sequencers. When I bought the N1 I choose not to buy a Triton simply because it had a sequencer I wouldn't use (I record onto my computer). To be honest, if I saw a Triton at a price I liked (second hand, perhaps) I...

Simply the Best
Review of Korg Triton by
teckie
Advantages: Quality of sounds, many add on options
Disadvantages: Silver cover can mark easily
...I have been a musician since my parents bought me an old two manual church organ for £50 when I was just 9 years old. Now 20 years later my musical ability has taken me on a great adventure. I was first introduced to the Korg range of keyboard around 15 years ago with the Korg M1. Since then I was used to playing home keyboards with fancy drum beats and patterns, but I wanted an instrument which not only had style but an instrument which contained quality sampled sounds. And I found it in Korg!!
Over the years I have been a true disciple of the Korg mission. Moving to the Korg 01w/fd then to the Korg Triton. Korg have made several keyboards in-between but I stuck with the keyboard I had longer then perhaps others would, but I felt no need to keep changing as the keyboards lasted longer than was fashionable.
Now I own a Korg Triton...

Like something from Outer Space
Review of Korg Triton by
richard_richard
Advantages: Awesome sounds, it's now the industry standard
Disadvantages: Took me a while to understand how it all works!
...I have owned my Korg Triton now for about a year and a half. I paid £1,699 for it which is the most I have ever spent on any musical instrument!
Was it worth it? Well in a word yes. This keyboard is quite simply awesome. The amount of admiring looks it gets at gigs is testiment to the reputation it has quickly gathered.
I reckon this thing is pretty much the industry standard now. Whenever I watch music programmes like Jools Holland or Top of the Pops you see the Triton pop up time and time again.
Anyway onto some of the features this workstation has. You get 66 fully touch sensitive keys, a joystick and a touch sensitive expression bar which is good fun to use! The interface you use to input your commands couldn't be more user friendly. You have a large back-lit touch senstive screen, a keypad and a selection wheel. All...

VIBES FROM THE TRIBE.
Review of Korg EM-1 by
BustyBabe
Advantages: Brilliant for patterns
Disadvantages: none
...at all.
The songs you can make from this are brilliant; it truly has a lot of great sounding patterns.
When completed you can save it in one of the 16 user song memory locations stored in flash ram..
Flash ram is memory for the unit, which saves your songs or patterns in memory, when your power is on or off.
The EM-1 can either be used on its own or with another workstation, to control it i.e using it as tone generator controlled by another keyboard or synth, and it works great both ways, we will be using a Korg Triton and this works excellent with it..
Basically it comes packed with pre set patterns which you can use for either a song, or patterns going into your workstation, most of the patterns that this comes with are house/techno, drum ‘n’ bass, r&b/ hip/trip hop, nu school breaks/big beat and another (disco, funk...

TRITON T80
Review of Triton T80 Electric Showers by
veraboy
Advantages: VALUE FOR MONEY
Disadvantages: NONE
...The performance and control on the Triton T80, makes it among the very best, value for money electric showers around. It is also one of the best selling showers around. The features of the T80 include a three-mode shower spray head. It also has a start stop button. When you are happy with the temperature that you have selected you just press the start/stop button, so the next time you want a shower it will always give you the perfect temperature every time. The T80 is very stylish and all controls are conveniently positioned. At 8.5 kW and £119+vat the Triton T80 is exellent quality and good value for...

Korg Blimey
Review of Korg SP-100 by
mojobob
Advantages: Full-length, nice key action
Disadvantages: Not a real piano!
...I use this stage piano in my rock band, barkerhound(.com). It is full length (88 notes) with what I would call semi-weighted keys.
I'm actually a pianist, so my knowledge of keyboards/synths is more limited.
However, as a pianist going to a keyboard I love the action and feel of these keys, there's really something to play against and the responsiveness is nice - not too light.
It has 6 different sound options - Piano, Electric Piano, Harpsichord, Vibraphone, Organ and Strings plus various other functions which to be honest, I don't really go near - I pair this Korg up with a Nord rack (better piano/organ sounds).
On saying that, I will be using this Korg as part of a piano/vocal duo and know that it is light enough to be wheeled about in it's flight case (I'm a girl, the boys I know carry it with even more ease).
If you...

review of Korg - AX1000G
Review of Korg AX1000G by
Diamond_Joe
Advantages: Range of effects
Disadvantages: little depth
...I bought this pedal just after it first came out (i think) around 10 months ago, christmas time. It cost me about £80, although i think that these days you can get it for £60 or less.
At the stage of buying it, I knew little about possible effects for the guitar, and i was amazed when i first got the pedal as to how i could make the guitar sound. Sadly, after using other pedals and listening to how some effects can be used I realised that most of the (many) effects featured on the pedal were not up to scratch and didnt follow through (i.e., they were all shit).
The Korg AX1000G features 32 different settings, each one with a massive array of possible effects, plus you can sort on mix and match between effects (ambience, modulation and amp type). To name a few featured, there's wah (plus auto wah), tremelo, flanger, phaser, reverb...

microRUBBISH!
Review of Korg microKORG by
brunocrosier
Advantages: lightweight
Disadvantages: too many - look at the review..
...The microKORG is one of the best selling synthesizers worldwide and has been used by several electronic bands such as Enter Shikari and Massive Attack.
The box simply contains the tiny 2kg microKORG itself, the vocoder microphone, power supply and manual. Users may at first be surprised by exactly how small the product is if they haven't seen it in real life before. It has only 3 octaves, and the keys are reminiscent of those found on a toy keyboard. One thing is for sure; don't expect to be playing any Bach or Beethoven on this baby, as it is almost impossible to get any articulation or expression in the cheap, plastic, weightless keys.
The preset sounds that are supplied are the epitome of mediocrity. On the other hand, the modulation wheel on the left of the keys is extremely handy and easy to use. However i felt that apart from...

I love my Trinity.
Review of Korg Trinity by
relentless_behaviour
Advantages: Great sound quality and overall usefulness
Disadvantages: Few user un-friendly parts
...No, I'm not professing my adoration for some leather-clad woman from The Matrix, neither am I becoming overly religious; I love my Korg Trinity Pro.
Imagine the scene: "Dad, I think I need something a little more up market if I am to succeed in my musical ventures." I was 16, just after my GCSEs had made my dad proud for an altogether brief moment. "I think I need a synthesiser."
So, we went to Brighton, to a music shop, the name of which escapes me, but I recall it was run by a man called Matt Hi-tech (his real name, I'm lead to believe) who'd just been on a week-long course to learn all about Korg Trinity synths. I browsed through a black and white jungle of keyboards, synths vocoders, sequencers and samplers, LEDs flashing, LCDs displaying some rather pretentious voice names and I came across the beast. Its brushed...
