Sony Vaio TR5MP review
Review of Sony VAIO TR5MP - Pentium M 1.1 GHz - 10.6" TFT by
mikeybzizi1984
Advantages: Small Ultra Portable Design, Sharp Clear Screen, Very Quiet
Disadvantages: Flimsy Design, Incurs heavy wear through normal use, not very durable.
...This is a beautifully designed ultra compact laptop with unique white coloured plastic, which sets it apart from the usual grey / black chunky laptops that are about.
The Sony Vaio TR5MP laptop encorporates a strong 1.1Ghz processor, 512MB RAM with a expansion capability of up to 1024MB, DVD-RW drive, 40GB Hard drive, 10.6" WXGA 1024 x 768 max resolution + XBrite technology, very good 64MB 3D video card, 16-bit stereo sound card, USB 2.0, around 4hrs battery life, integrated wireless card with strong antenna and much more.
This is a real gadget. Its really very portable, compared to some laptops today this is still one of the nicest deisgns there is out there even compared with, say the apple iBooks. One of the best things about this laptop is the screen, its once of the best LCD screens I've seen. Because of its small size, high...

Small but not necessarily perfectly formed.
Review of Sony VAIO TR5MP - Pentium M 1.1 GHz - 10.6" TFT by
hazeydazey
Advantages: Tiny and light.
Disadvantages: Flimsy, and bad customer service.
...Around four years ago I purchased a Sony TR1MP for £1700 (and that was a cheap internet price at the time). This has exactly the same exterior to the TR5MP but slightly less in stats. I acquired my TR5MP by sending my old TR1MP back (after one years' of use) for 'review' to Sony because I believed that the bit where you rest your hands, just before the keyboard, was warping and dipping in. Oh, and I am not some chunky man, I am a size 8 (European) petite girl. Sony refused to accept that this was a problem and so decided to charge me £45 for the bother of them looking at it. I was absolutely appalled and felt abused by these huge national corporations. These guarantees really aren't worth the paper they are written on. After two months of them threatening me that if I didn't cough up they would dispose of my laptop, they decided to send...

Maclaren Triumph Triumphs!
Review of Maclaren Europe Limited Triumph by
danmclovin
Advantages: Lighweight & compact!
Disadvantages: Not many reclining positions!
...I bought the Maclaren Triumph stroller as a lightweight, more convenient method of transport for my little boy. I felt that there was no longer a need to take the travel system pram everywhere, and the Maclaren Triumph turned out to be the perfect replacement.
The Triumph is very lightweight and compact, and even comes with a shoulder strap so that you can close it up and sling it over your shoulder when not in use ... that's how lightweight it is. The stroller is made from a very sturdy aluminium frame, and comes with every accessory you would expect from a top quality pushchair, a hood, shopping basket, rain cover and inter-changeable harness'.
The stroller has a 5-point safety harness, and the shoulder straps are height adjustable. The stroller is very easy to open out and also folds neatly. The handles are foam insulated...

The Herald - A True British Triumph
Review of Triumph Herald by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Ahead of its time
Disadvantages: Handled very poorly. Slow.
...~ ~ When I was a teenager back in 1963, the first car my father ever bought was an old Ford Anglia in which I learned my basic driving skills.
Three years later it was traded in, and a brand spanking new car arrived on the doorstep.
A Triumph Herald 12/50, in lovely gleaming white, matching white colour-coded rubber bumpers, with a canvas slide-back sunroof, and to top it all, a RADIO.
This was nirvana for a 15-year-old boy heavily into the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and all the popular music of the time, and a vast improvement on the old Dansette transistor radio that had sat on the dashboard of the old Anglia, which had truly dreadful reception.
~ ~ In those days cars still had to be “run in”, and great care was taken for the first thousand miles, with no heavy strain being put on the engine, and the top speed limited (by...

The Complete Story of Heartbreak and Triumph?
Review of WWE - Shawn Michaels - Heartbreak And Triumph DVD by
MizzMolko
Advantages: Some good, insightful moments and 'forgotten' matches
Disadvantages: Almost the same as the autobiography, lacking depth in some places
...the 'Boyhood Dream' and 'From The Vault' collections, what excited me most about the 'Shawn Michaels Story: Heartbreak & Triumph' set was due to the fact that it wouldn't be purely matches featured on the disks, or even simply interviews and commentaries by himself. Instead, in many ways, this 2007 DVD release would be a series of interviews and opinions from Shawn's peers and critics that would act as an extension to his autobiography from 2006, chronicling the life and times of a wrestler who had worked in many companies before his illustrious WWE run, including the now defunct World Class Championship Wrestling and the American Wrestling Association.
WHY DID YOU BUY IT, I HEAR YOU CRY?
Well, to put it simply, Shawn is my favourite wrestler of all time. I've loved and respected his work since I was six years old, in fact, the first ever...

Triumph Spitfire - a REAL car
Review of Triumph Spitfire by
LennyMan
Advantages: A piece of history, a genuine sports car
Disadvantages: You need to be commited
...I have just bought my second Spitfire. However, both are going to be a project to keep me sane.
The Triumph Spitfire is a true example of British 1960's - 70's sports car. The Spitfire came in various guises, The Spitfire 4, Spitfire Mk II, Mk III, Mk IV, Mk V and GT6 (I think there may be a few more as well!)
The Triumph is based on a real chassis with a 'body tub', hinged bonnet and wings. The dashboard is normally walnut, with old-style leather seats. This is strictly a two-seater (don't even think about trying to use the 'plus 2'!) and comes with both soft top and hard top options. Legroom is great (even for me at 6'2" !!!)
The engines range from the 1300cc to 2200cc (although there are various 'modification' variants out there), with the 1300cc and 1600cc sporting twin SU style carbs.
Working on this car is a dream...

A Triumph for Maclaren
Review of Maclaren Europe Limited Triumph by
Emily-Jane
Advantages: Lightweight and perfect for travelling
Disadvantages: Small shopping basket and brakes aren't great.
...We needed a second buggy to travel to Turkey with our then 7 month old son. Our main Gracco pram was fantastic but weighed too much and was very bulky.
After searching details on many pushchairs we settled on the Maclaren Triumph. We got it at a reduced price as it was last seasons style even though it was brand new. We used it in England several times before going away and found it very useful indeed.
For £50 we got the buggy with a shopping bag attached and a rain cover. The buggy weighs just 5.5kg and also has a handy carry strap. The rain cover is so simple to attach and we always carry it in the shopping bag for convenience. The shopping bag, however, is not much cop. It will only hold a small amount of items, so in the end we used it to carry basic baby essentials and nothing else.
The Triumph folds away fairly easily...

Maclaren's Triumph?
Review of Maclaren Europe Limited Triumph by
patsyfagin
Advantages: lightweight, easy to move, great on public transport, good choice of colours
Disadvantages: brakes very difficult to use, poor support from seat
...As a replacement stroller this pushchair has served its purpose. It is very easy to use with an increasingly heavy toddler. i brought this pushchair because it was light.
As a city dweller who is very reliant on public transport I appreciate how easy it is to get around with this pushchair. It' s small enough to comfortably fit on a bus with a child in and not get in the way of other passengers unlike some of the bulkier travel systems, and is also very easy to fold and carry as well as holding a small child, something that is not always easier for slight woman of 5'3". The handy strap on the back is a good plus point.
I have a nineteen month gap between my children and am now beginning to use the triumph with a buggy board almost as much as my double buggy. I do miss having a sturdier stroller for regular use with a smaller...

Triumph 955 (595) - Flying the Union Jack
Review of Triumph Daytona T595 by
exup35
Advantages: British bike - looks - handling - finish
Disadvantages: heavy on wrists - heat of engine - massive rear tyre to replace
...Reason for Buying
-------------------------
I have always wanted a Triumph ever since they started building them again at Hinkley. Although I was a little young when they first came out and had only just passed my test.
Another reason was that old guys used to come up to me when I was parked up and start a conversation along the lines of:
"now thats a nice looking bike - the only problem with bikes these days is that they are all Japanese - I used to have a Vincent/BSA/Norton etc when I was a lad . . . . "
A Test Ride
----------------
Due to job, time and money I had to get bikes more to do with what I could afford at the time. I did test ride the 595 when it came out and loved it. The biggest bike I had ever rode up to then was a 400 FZRR exup and to jump on a machine this size, with a pillion on and chase the shops...

Another Triumph for Maclaren
Review of Maclaren Europe Limited Triumph by
mummy2harry
Advantages: Lightweight, good value for money, funky design, reliable
Disadvantages: Stupid brakes but you do get used to it
...then, and are now stocked all over the world.
Now, as I said, the Maclaren Triumph is one of the smallest buggies in the Maclaren range, only the Volo is smaller than this one. One of the main features that I like is its basic weight is only 5kg (11 lbs) which is tiny compared to some of the other buggies around. I can easily lift this with just one hand, and I am not a strong person so this is a real bonus for me. Although it is very lightweight, this doesn't mean that it isn't strong and reliable, quite the opposite in fact! The buggy can carry a child who weighs up to 15kg (33 lbs), which I would say is roughly a 3 year old, as Harry is just 27 lbs at 19 months old. And by 3, most children don't require a pushchair anymore so this will do you until then, perfect!
This buggy has quite a few features which made me choose it over any...
