...I first visited this attraction way back on a school when I was in short trousers and my top lip was marmite. Only recently did I darken its doors again and I felt like I was back in my school days and half expecting Miss Richards to shout "STOP TEASING THOSE MONKEYS!" I did expect a lot of natural evolution over the twenty years plus since my last visit and there have been an improvement but sadly no, apart from the lick of paint and shift round of the gift shop it seemed almost the same. Open every day excluding Xmas and Boxing Day, Tropical World attracts 1 million visitors a year to the 'Home of the largest collection of tropical plants outside of Kew Gardens'. ...area where you can get snack foods like pizza and sandwiches (toasties) at lunch time. I didn't once find a broken sunbed nor a cracked tile, nor any rubbish on the floor. The garden areas are well kept and very tidy. It caters well for all people, familes, couples, disabled. Cots are provided where needed and ramps and lifts are available all around the complex. I have to say that of all the package holidays I have been twice a year from age 12, tamaimo tropical will always have a place in my heart, the atmosphere and tranquility cannot be beaten. It is beautiful, the surrounding towns are beautiful, and restaurants in small alleys provide delicious food. Hence the reason i return again in September of this year to Tamaimo Tropical. .... It certainly lived up to its expectations; it was very soft indeed - a delight to chew! Thankfully, the taste was phenomenal! I was hit with a sudden burst of fruity flavour, to provide my taste buds with great pleasure. I couldn't work out exactly what tropical fruits were in there. When I checked the back of the packet, it didn't say what was in it, which was quite disappointing. At a guess, I would say orange and peach! I chewed and chewed, for what seemed like hours, and still this fantastic flavour remained consistent. It seemed endless, which is always a good thing; nobody likes to chew dry, tasteless gum! ...As I am full of a cold and sore throat at the moment, I am mainly relying on Weight Watchers Own Products to keep on Track, which is probably a wise thing since I have had beechams and everything like this week. But I will take whatever medicines I need and unlike some people do not go round pointing them and worrying if I put on a pound or two. As my throat has got slowly worst, I find that I am eating more food that will just slip down my throat rather than hurt it even more. So yesterday on my weekly shop to Tesco I found these Weight Watchers Thick and Fruity Tropical Yoghurts. They are actually made by Yoplait on behalf of Weight Watchers. ...Aquarian Tropical fish flake is an excellent fish food for all fishkeepers. It is a food used by many of the most experienced fishkeepers and breeders. The food comes in ideal sized containers for a few fish or a fish house full of hungry and greedy fish. The food is of very high quality, in foil sealed packaging to keep it fresh. It is able to sink if placed directly in the water, which is particalarly useful when there are catfish with will not feed from the surface. The food does not seem to make the water cloudy if accidentally overfed, although it still not recommended, as water clarity does not mean clean water After testing all the foods avaliable at my local aquatic centre, aquarian is the only one that I liked, and the fish seemed to enjoy it to!!... ...Tropical World is situated at the Roundhay Village end of Leeds Roundhay Park. It is an intriguing combination of winter gardens and zoo with a series of expertly created landscapes such as Amazonian rainforest, Australasian desert and swamps for the visitor to explore. Curiously - sine the theme is short-lived, you embark on your trip via the "HMS Tropical World" - not a ship at all just a concept - and the first stop is a tropical beach scene; rather disappointingly there is not much to see here, just a mock up of a tropical beach. It's at this point that everyone takes off their hats and coats in preparation for the heat and humidity that lies ahead. Each ecosystem is home to the birds, fish, insects, plants and trees that would live there; obviously there are some limitations - this is not a zoo and it is all indoors so... Read review

...Tropical world is a great, cheap family day out with lots to do and see. At the end of it all you can visit the cafe for some light refreshments and look round the gift shop for souvineers. Location Tropical park is located on Princes' Avenue, Roundhay Leeds LS8 1DF. Buses to and from Leeds City Centre 2 & 12 run frequently. ...Well, I am someone who likes their food! I have many favourites depending on what sort of mood I'm in, so it's going to behard to narrow it down. Oh well, here it goes, in no particular order... 1. Spaghetti Carbonara This has to be my favourite Italien dish! It is basically spaghetti pasta in a lovely sauce made of cream and eggs with bits of Italian-style ham in it. I love the creaminess of it, yum yum. I don't get to have this very often, usually I will only have it when I am eating out. My mum did try to make it once, but the sauce went all weird and lumpy! Hasn't put me off though! As much as I love this, I find it very filling and hardly ever manage to finish it! It feels awful to waste it, as it is so delicious, but for some reason I cannot eat a lot of it. 2. ...A Little About Leeds…….. It takes just an hour drive from my hometown, Manchester to reach this alive and vibrant city called Leeds. Leeds is situated in the West Yorkshire, in the North of England. According to the recent population estimations, Leeds is the third largest city of England. It is a beautiful and historical place to visit as it has a huge range of attractions. The main attraction for us this weekend was the famous Tropical World of Leeds. One thing I must add is that if you have kids then do visit this wonderful place because my kids probably had their best outing this weekend when we all tasted the tropical experience.
