Trust my Card Reader
Advantages: reliable, USB2, vista compat, 42 different formats, lively lighty up bits
Disadvantages: bit boring to look at
...I bought this card reader at that famous hit-tech computer store ;) Tesco. So I didn't expect that much especially at the price but it was going to be better than my ultra cheap no name card reader it replaced.
I've been using this card reader now for about 9 months. It cost £9.00 when I bought it so I didn't expect too much. But it surpassed my expectations and has beaten off my attempts to replace it with newer more modern units (usually ones advertising it will read 99 different card types and ones which are much much prettier).
The Trust EasyConnect Card Reader is a USB 2 device which does its job without fuss or fault. It accepts cards via the front panel or the back panel and handles (amongst othersCompact Flash, Mini Drive, SMC, XD (for Fuji and Olympus), MS, MMC, and SD cards. Basically, if you have a memory card for your...

USB Card Reader With Free 1GB SD Card
Advantages: 9 in 1 card reader, 1GB SD card, Compact design
Disadvantages: None
...The Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 Card Reader is the only device you need to store, transfer and read data on any USB enabled device. As I use a variety of flash cards for mobile phone, digital camera and camcorder.
This card reader is designed with a USB 2.0 connector which is ideal to connect via you PC or laptop. It has memory expansion slots that support nine different types of SD and MMC flash memory cards. It also comes with a 1 GB SD memory card for free, what more would you want.
This device is called mobile for a reason, as its small and compact it's ideal to take with you anywhere. You won't find a smaller more compact card reader on the market which carries a respectable name as Kingston. I have another card reader which I use for my PC, I bought this because it was cheap and had free 1GB SD memory card with it. I use this...

Sony e reader
Advantages: lightweight
Disadvantages: not cheap
...**** Sony E Reader ****
I really enjoy reading but somehow my suitcase always ends up really heavy so when i saw that my local Waterstones had some in stock i decided to purchase one.At 199 quid its not cheap but i felt i could easily spend that on buying the books alone.
**What is it?**
Basically it is an electronic device that you can store books on.The memory size you get with it holds up to 160 books but there is also slots for you to add extra memory if needed, not that you would need it.
**Pros**
One of the best things about this is that you do not have to carry loads of books around with you.
Books are cheaper on the ereader than they are to buy normally and when you buy the ereader from Waterstones it comes with 100 classic books so if you are like me and would read these anyway the ereader pays for itself.
It can...

Jessops USB Smartmedia Card reader - Serial Killer
Advantages: Upload Speed, Increased Battery Life
Disadvantages: None
...I've been putting up with slow upload on my Olympus C2020Z digital camera for over a year, but when I got a 32Mb card it was painfully slow - like watching paint dry. So I finally bought a Jessops USB Smartmedia Card Reader and it's great.
The installation on a Windows 98 PC is simple, the card comes with a CD with the appropriate drivers, and has bundled Piccolo thumbnail software for viewing and sending files to Jessops over the internet for printing, though I've not tried that service yet.
The USB Card reader is powered via the USB port, and comes with an extension cable which makes it easy to connect to a desktop PC. Once installed and with a Smartmedia card inserted, it appears as a new removable drive. Piccolo will automatically catalogue all your pictures on your PC, and a thumbnail viewer will launch. I close them down...

Jenoptik Smart Card Reader very good
Advantages: Fast, effecient and easy to use
Disadvantages: none
...Having owned a digital camera for 6 months I got heartily sick and tired of waiting for images to download through the serial port of my computer. I therefore decided to invest in a smart card reader from Jenoptik. I bought one direct from the web and paid £27 for a USB reader. It was one of the best investments I have made. Being USB it requires no power source and sits nicely on top of my monitor. The downloads speeds are almost instantaneous and the management of the card is as simple as a floppy. I highly recommend you purchase one if you intend to take digital photography even a little bit seriously....

The Reader - Evil Intent Uncertain
Advantages: Fascinating story that unfolds slowly, like snapshots in a photo album.
Disadvantages: A bit long at times.
...character, so charmingly naïve and trusting. He is, in truth, the perfect victim. Michael comes from a middleclass German family, the middle son who is coddled by a far-too-attentive mother, envied by his brothers and sisters, and almost totally ignored by a strict father who would rather read the newspaper during supper than have to speak to his wife and children. Michael, only fifteen, is a sensitive lad, kind and compassionate, and his attraction to Hannah, at first, is not entirely on a physical level, however, when he spies her dressing, he experiences desire--probably for the first time. Although he runs away in shame, embarrassed that Hannah has caught him ogling her, he returns, incapable of staying away... an innocent, he is seduced, and much like a starving child, he'll do whatever she asks in exchange for sustenance. What Hannah asks...

IS 16 ENOUGHT FOR YOU
Advantages: easy transfer of files
Disadvantages: blue loading L.E.D is a little to bright
...WHAT ARE CARD READERS
<><><><><><><><><><><><>
Firstly as you may or not know card readers are for very small memmory cards which can be put in just about anything these days from phones to dvd players to the latest game consoles. They read the memmory on the card and transfer the information to and from your pc meaning if you had somefiles on your mobile or a camera ,all you have to do is remove the memmory card from your phone slip it in your reader and depending on the size of the files they could be transfered in seconds.
REASON BEHIND ME WANTING A READER
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><
When you first get a phone or camera that has a memmory card included you will usualy find a connection cable included which lets you transfer the files by simply connecting the cable up to both the products this is very easy but there...

The Day The Sony E reader Changed My Life
Advantages: It is very useful and very simple to use and it looks and feels fantastic
Disadvantages: The screen isn't backlit, and the zoom only has three sizes
...I love the Sony E reader because since I found this gadget it has made life sitting on a bay for hours on end whle Im in my Lorry a pleasure and no longer a chore.
I love the idea of the e reader by Sony, hundreds of books all in one place and all available with the push of a button. I have books all over the cab and they always get filthy and dog eared. I always lose my page when I have to put them down because the red light on the bay changes to green and they want their bay back.
Another thing with a paper book is that if you take it into a waiting room , every one can see what your reading ( well the ones who can read anyway) and I'm a little shy about sharing my reading habits especially when I'm picking up the free books in the waiting room at Blacks In Northampton, ( at least I hope theyr'e free).
The e reader looks and feels...

The only joker near this card reader is me.
Advantages: No more messing with cables!
Disadvantages: Could be tricky to set up initially.
...As the only person in our family with any knowledge of computers and a semi-decent PC, I am often called upon by other members of the family to perform tasks that they cannot accomplish themselves. In recent times, this has mainly been burning images from various digital cameras onto CD for my father and brother-in-law. Until recently, this involved taking the relevant cable, poking around the back of my PC to find the USB port (a multipurpose port for connecting a wide range of peripherals to your PC), before connecting the camera to my PC and copying all the images across.
Quite frankly, this was too much trouble for me, but as the only person in our family with a CD Writer it's up to me. So, I felt I could justify the investment of £15 for a card reader which would enable me to perform the photo burning without resorting to...

Card Factory
Advantages: Great products at low prices
Disadvantages: Long queues and some products a little tacky
...Card buying can be an expensive thing, especially at this time of year and as much as I love the quality of the cards in stores such as Clintons, with my large family I just cannot afford to buy all my family cards from stores such as these at Christmas. So I was pretty impressed with Card Factory opened up a store in my local town recently. For me this store offers good quality products, but at really cost effective prices.
Obviously their main market is the card market. They offer cards for all occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, moving, sorry, thank you and general cards too. Their cards are priced at 59p for a small card, 89p for a medium card and 99p for a large card, which for me is excellent value for money. They do extra large cards which do cost a bit more and they also do a couple of cards in each range for just...
