Advantages: Awesome to see Alien/ Predator again. Great set and location.
Disadvantages: Very poorly written. Not standout actors.

...Memories of the 1980’s for me are what I get told in nostalgic TV shows shown late night on BBC 2 or Channel 4, you see I was born in ’87 so have very little memory of that decade. However there are some things such as films, TV shows, and /or foods which just must be tested and tried even if you didn’t the first time around. I’ve watched the A-Team, and thought very little of it. I’ve consumed pot noodles and again thought very little of them. BUT, when I watched Aliens on Channel Four early last year I loved it. I thought it was one of the best horror/ action/ sc-fi films I had seen for a good long time, and decided the 1980’s weren’t that bad after all (but some of the crap they threw at us will never quite go away… boom town rats anyone?). I have never seen Predator, but I did see Predator 2. I thought it was ok. Nothing special... Read review

...The Aliens and Predator films are Sci Fi classics. They also happen to be some of the scariest movies ever made. Fans of the series have been crying out for a Aliens vs Predator movie since we saw the alien's skull among the predator's trophies at the end of Predator 2. Since that time the two monsters have been battling on the pages of comics, books and even a few video games. So it was only a question of when this movie was going to happen as opposed to If. Well after 11 years of rumours AVP has finally arrived under the direction of Paul W Anderson. I was initially quite pleased that Paul W Anderson was directing. In interviews I had watched he stated that he was a huge fan of the previous films and had read most of the comics and books. With this knowledge under his belt, I thought he was defiantly the man to bring the fan boys... Read review

...What the films about The movie predator is about Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and a bunch of his commandos are hired by the CIA to go into to a central America and rescue people from the guerrilla fighters. But while they are there they encounter something more deadly than that, the fearsome Predator. The Predator is built for fighting it can not be killed by any man-made object such as guns knifes. And he is invisable which makes him the perfect Predator. The sound The sound is really clear and crisp which is great for an old film and it is on Dolby 5.1. Sound effects great like all the weapons the Predator uses. Its really well done Whats good about the film? The way that it is made. Arnies acting skills are quality and make the movie even better. Advantages: Good for a slow sunday afternoon
Disadvantages: spoils the real predator/Alien movies

...After enjoying the first 2 predator films, unusually finding the second more entertaining than the first, and jumping my way through the Alien films, i was under the impression that Predator Vs Alien would be the beast of all films, how wrong can a person be? After showing the Alien creatures skull on the predators space craft in Predator 2 this stated that the Alien creature were weaker than the Predators, but to actually make this into a film was always going to be a difficult task for the writers. The film was slow to start and it desperately tried to explain the reason why both alien species came to meet. The three types of creatures fighting for survival in the dark depths of planet Earth, only for the strongest and smartest species to survive, but who would come out of the pits of hell. Advantages: Finally we get to see an alien take on a predator
Disadvantages: Not in the same vein of the original inspirational films

...The premise is this, a group of scientists discover a temple hidden deep in antartica, so they assemble an expert team to investigate. Unwittingly becoming the hosts required to bring aliens out for a hunting party of predators. And so as you'd imagine the humans find themselves being hunted by two sets of creatures and fading very fast. Firstly you may see this review being too critical as im a big fan like alot of people who wanted to see this movie. It isnt without redeeming features so im gonna point out that there is some good in this movie. The better moments are naturally between aliens and predators. It seems when these two were allowed to do their own thing without the actors interupting, the movie really shone. The alien and predator going head to head in one brief scene was impressive and probably my favourite scene... Read review

Advantages: Alien Meets Predator = Gosh!
Disadvantages: Not a horror film in the same vein as its predecessors

As the team enters the pyramid for the first time, little do they know that their very footsteps have started a chain reaction. Alien Vs Predator is a monster showdown in every sense of the word. After four Alien films and two Predator movies, audience demand for the two creatures to meet head on was feverish. ...Ever since I heard this game was being made, I knew I had to have it. Why? For several reasons actually. First, I am a huge fan of both Predator movies and of the first two Alien movies. Plus, I am a fan of the Alien versus Predator comics (they had some excellent story lines). But most importantly, Alien versus Predator was the game to get me into FPSs. See, at the time that FPSs were really becoming popular, it was due to a game named Doom. I didn't have a computer at the time, and I had only played Doom once, so I really didn't know what I was missing out on. Then I got the Jaguar (R.I.P.) and all that changed. When I first played AvP, I found a game that not only gave you variety, but also a true sense of the movies. Now, almost six years later, AvP hits the computer, courtesy of the same people who brought us the Jaguar version... Read review
