Trust WB-3600R Webcam
Review of Trust HiRes Webcam Live USB2 WB-3600R by
pepster63
Advantages: Easy to install, Simple to use,
Disadvantages: Annoying spotlights that don't make much difference
...This is my first experience using a webcam and all in all it has been a good one. The installation was pain free although you are advised to download the drivers from their website rather than from the cd so you can get the latest version, it took a couple of attempts but this was more to do with a poor broadband connection. The software features are pretty basic even for a novice like me, but as I purchased it for use with voip, for me, it is more than adequate. The picture quality is fantastic but still good, make sure your lighting is good though, the spotlights don't really make that much difference and can also get quite annoying shining into your eyes. However, as long as you're not trying to be Stephen Spielberg I think for £15 it represents good value for money and I would certainly recomend it for anyone who wants a no frills...

5 USB 2 PORTS - FRONT & BACK
Review of Trust 5 Port USB 2.0 PC Upgrade Kit & Hub - hub - 5 ports by
penguin1052
Advantages: USB FRONT AND BACK
Disadvantages: Fitting For Novices
...without the hassle of moving and scrambling round the back of the PC.
STABILITY
As with the other Trust products I’ve used this is again perfectly stable and never causes me any problems or conflicts.
SPEED
Running at USB 2.0 speed it’s darn fast. At around 480mb a second even firewire isn’t going to touch it (that is only about 412mb a second). But it will also run at the slower 12mb a second should you have a USB 1.0 product as it is fully backwards compatible.
EASE OF INSTALLATION
Slightly more to do here than with the other front plate as in addition to fitting the front plate you also have to fit the PCI card. Now once you’ve fitted one in the past it’s pretty straight forward. However for those of you not wanting to open your PC up (and don’t forget if it’s under warranty it will void the warranty) you may want to take...

Company I never heard of, would buy from again!!
Review of Trust USB2 Webcam WB-3500T by
cooldude28
Advantages: Fast, quick, reliable, quality
Disadvantages: None
...in the box for the price. You buy a webcam, so that is what you get.
Below I have included a basic installation for a webcam. These are the steps you must follow to get your webcam working from the moment you open the box.
1) Take out the webcam, and plug the lead which is attached into one of the USB ports on your laptop or computer.
2) Insert the software CD included, and wait for a popup.
3) When a popup comes up with the software logo, and information, there should be a few buttons at the bottom of each popup on every section saying "Next" and "Back". These are on most of the screens, until you reach the end of installation.
4) Keep pressing next, making sure your webcam is still tightly in the USB port, click Finish when that button appears.
5) Reset your computer (turn it off, then back on again). This refreshes the computer...

Easy Access USB 2.0 Front Panel
Review of Trust 4 Port USB 2.0 Direct Access Hub - hub - 4 ports by
penguin1052
Advantages: EASY ACCESS TO USB PORTS
Disadvantages: INITIAL SETUP FOR NON-PC PEOPLE
...STABILITY
Perfect, never had it drop out while in use and always performs perfectly. Only problem I could foresee is if you were using Windows 95 or Windows 98 First Edition. But this is only due to the fact that they didn’t support USB and will only work via a patch, but I’m told the patches themselves are unstable.
SPEED
Running at USB 2.0 speed this is pretty much the fastest you will get at the moment.
USB 1.0 – 12mb a second
FIREWIRE – 412mb a second
USB 2.0 – just over 450mb a second
Now just because it is USB 2.0 doesn’t mean you can’t use your older USB 1.0 devices on it because it is fully backwards compatible with the older equipment. However should you have a device capable of the faster protocol then you will see that high data transfer speed come in to action.
EASE OF INSTALLATION
Not the easiest thing...

Trust my Card Reader
Review of Trust EasyConnect 42-in-1 USB2 Card Reader CR-1420p by
fightgear
Advantages: reliable, USB2, vista compat, 42 different formats, lively lighty up bits
Disadvantages: bit boring to look at
...I bought this card reader at that famous hit-tech computer store ;) Tesco. So I didn't expect that much especially at the price but it was going to be better than my ultra cheap no name card reader it replaced.
I've been using this card reader now for about 9 months. It cost £9.00 when I bought it so I didn't expect too much. But it surpassed my expectations and has beaten off my attempts to replace it with newer more modern units (usually ones advertising it will read 99 different card types and ones which are much much prettier).
The Trust EasyConnect Card Reader is a USB 2 device which does its job without fuss or fault. It accepts cards via the front panel or the back panel and handles (amongst othersCompact Flash, Mini Drive, SMC, XD (for Fuji and Olympus), MS, MMC, and SD cards. Basically, if you have a memory card for your...

Trust Webcam - Great for the price!
Review of Trust Communicator Webcam WB-1400T by
Romeo123467
Advantages: The price of the product is great at £9.99
Disadvantages: Adjusting the focus is difficult and I broke the headphones as there werent clear instructions
...I first brought this product for £9.99 in a somerfield store when thier new Robert Dyas section was built. I believed that I had a good bargain because webcams appear to be all the range these days and it seems I was right. After taking the webcam out of the box, I installed it on my PC and away I went. The webcam focuses well and the settings can be adjusted by using the softwares easy to use interface. If you require more focusing there is also a dial on the face of the webcam whichs allows you to do so. To show that the webcam is turned on, A little blue light is positioned just below the lens. Also with this webcam there were a pair of headphones, Which although looked good at first, happened to break after I tried putting them on. Perhaps clearer instructions on the box or in the manual may have prevented the disaster from happening...

Life is more TRUST us, but spend more money.
Review of Trust SpaceC@m 320 by
samcabal
Advantages: Nothing I can think of it except price and looks.
Disadvantages: Poor software, cheapness.
...I can only agree with the previous reviewer, prior to this WebCam I had a Trust 380 USB 2.0 Spacecam, this one let me down because it did not have a microphone. The 320 seemed like a good bet, because it had a built in or borrow microphone and it's selling point was its compatibility with MSN messenger.
It is a good-looking little cam but let me down because of its lack of software there is no video editing software or anything for photos and recording to send in e-mail form, etc.
Of course a WebCam's main duty is in chatting online with friends and family and I feel that the addition of software is a big benefit . I want to be able to take pictures and to record a short video that I can send via e-mail.
I guess you get what you pay for and the fact that it is around £20 to £30 speaks for itself and this cam has its limits. Even...

Can I really trust Trust?
Review of Trust SpaceC@m 120 by
grown_up_girlie
Advantages: Great picture quality for a low cost price.
Disadvantages: It doesn't work after 6 months and causes system to crash.
...A great spec and good looking camera for a great price - £15.48 from Asda stores.
Is plug n play - for all Operating Systems, supports usb 2.0.
352 x 288 (100k) pixel resolution, 30 frames per second, 24 bit colour, perfect for internet applications, has a status LED indicator, adjustable focus for best picture quality and comes with video impression software.
What more could I really want or need from a webcam (Used for medium web chat use)?
After installing all the correct drivers for Windows XP it worked a dream, the plug n play feature makes it easy to set up and install. I really was so impressed for what it cost me. Shame that after 6 months of use it just suddenly stopped recognising the drivers and stopped working altogether.
I formatted my hard drive incase of any other problems causing it not to work...

Easy to install USB 2.0 PCI card
Review of Archos PCI USB 2.0 PC Expansion Card by
volcano
Advantages: Easy to install
Disadvantages: None
...I have bought this PCI card a week ago.
Reason: I have got a MSI K7T266Pro2 motherboard that only offer USB1.1 ports (1.5Mbytes/s maximum transfer rate).
Since I have got devices that uses USB2.0 and without breaking my piggy bank to upgrade my computer, the most economical way is to install a PCI card that offers USB2.0 connections (up to 480Mbits/s or 60Mbytes/s, 40X faster than USB1.1) for 1 internal port and 4 external ports.
Before you buy a USB2.0 PCI card, make sure that your motherboard got version 2.2 PCI slots which are USB2.0 compatible.
If your motherboard hasn't got version 2.2 PCI slots or higher, don't bother. You need a motherboard upgrade.
Also, your operating system needs to be windows 2000 service pack 4 or windows XP which provides appropriate drivers to support USB2.0. For the other operation systems...

Peek a boo!!
Review of Trust SpaceC@m 120 by
antsss
Advantages: Cheapest branded webcam I could find, and adequate for MSN Messenger
Disadvantages: Not TFT mountable without blu-tak!
...It's hard to believe now, but when I first got online in around 1997, I spent a fortune on a black and white webcam that connected to my PC through its' parallel (printer) port. The camera was like a ping-pong ball on a wire, and sat in a triangular foam rubber stand.
Quite a few years on, not much has changed in the webcam world. Setting digital cameras, TV capture cards and DV cameras aside (as they are not 'webcams' in the true sense, even though they can function the same way), the average webcam is still a ping-pong ball on a wire. The wire will now have a USB1.1 or USB2 connection, and the stand might be a bit fancier, but despite the pictures now being in glorious technicolour, webcams still pump out small-ish images, around 300 pixels across, at 25 frames per second.
One thing that has changed, though, is the way a webcam...
