These speakers came in a rather blank box, with HP written on it, they came nicely packed with a lovely and very easy to use instruction booklet. They looked very professional and they are a nice grey/silver colour with a tint of blue, you plug these into the back of your monitor and they run off the monitors power input which is very useful, they do not have a power cable themself because they use the monitors cable for power, meaning theres a saving of plugs when it comes to your two point plug way! I went with my boyfriend recently to set up his cousins new speakers, for some reason he always pays my boyfriend to do these things for him, before even attempting it himself. Well, if you are wanting to use your pc for downloading your music, storing it and listening to it there then these are the perfect solution to getting good quality sound. .... Setting up The set up process is relatively easy especially with the instruction diagrams provided. I would not think it will cost many efforts to do that. Like all other speaker systems, there are red and white colour indicating for right and left. There is one audio line-in wire that is about 2 meters long. It is enough for me to connect with my laptop; however, it may be a bit shorter if you are using it in a larger room. The speaker wires are a bit shorter than the audio line-in wire, which are about 1.5 meters long. To start using them, just simply plug in speaker and audio lines, then connect to your computer and power it on. Sound Quality I generally think the sound quality is very good. There are no hisses or any back noises. It would not compete with other powerful speakers or super surrounding sound system...

...For nigh on 4 years i have owned a very basic 2 speaker setup for my PC which despite providing me with years of trouble free service i always yearned for the extra quality that a surround sound package would provide. I did a little homework and discovered that in order to take advantage of using a 4 speaker, 1 subwoofer (5.1) setup then i would need an additional sound card for my PC which supported the 4 speakers and subwoofer, i went out and bought a cheap 5.1 soundcard and installed it then i went along to Argos and purchased the Labtec Arena 5.1 surround sound speakers for £49.99 and after just 5 minutes of browsing thru the supplied and indepth manual i plugged my colour coded speakers into my PC and turned it on. ...I picked these up in Asda about a week ago, simply because they were so cheap at £11.74. There were to go on the wee mans computer as I nicked the original ones! I have had Trust speakers before and found them to be average to good in quality but always of a high spec and at reasonale prices. I have to say that these are pretty good. Hardly likely to rock your World or, for purists, they are not exactly up there with Wisdom or Kharma! Mind you, those speakers can go for ten of thousands of pounds so a sub £12 bracket makes them extremely good value. The look is simplistic but clean. Don't be fooled by the 'seemingly' low 6 Watt figure. On paper 6 Watts may seem a bit weak next to the competitors but when tested among 5 other setups these speakers are very loud and even still very clear with volume at 100%.
