Advantages: Helpful bank, always try to help during financial difficulty. Disadvantages: Try to sell you things you don't want, high bank charges.
...I have been with Lloyds TSB literally all my life, they've always seemed to be a good bank to me, they won't lend me money as it is as I've never had credit and have been a student and never had a full time job, which is good, alot of banks don't care and will give money out to anyone regardless of whether they can pay it back or not, but I've never had this with Lloyds, the ony thing with them is the charges they put on your account for an unplanned overdraft, but these unplanned overdrafts I take with Lloyds really are a godsend when my wages are short by 50 pound one month and my phone bill needs paying so I dont mind a £25 charge for a £100 unplanned overdraft, it s when you go overdrawn by 4p that the charge is annoying!!! Other than this, Lloys have been a very good bank for me, yes they try to sell me things like car insuarnce...

Review of Lloyds TSB
Advantages: It has lots to offer and the computer thing that tells you on the spot if you can have something or not Disadvantages: None
...I have been with Lioyds TSB for 4 years now and I have never had any trouble with them up till now.
The members of staff are very helpful and understanding.
They have a computer system which tells the staff what a customer can have so there is no uming and arhing if the computer says you can have a overdraft, debit card or personal loan then you can. That's what I like most about Lloyds TSB, as it saves me time and they can give me a decision on the spot. The computer is updated every month and keeps a record of the last 6 months, so if you have managed your account well for the last 6 months they will be able to offer you a wide variety of services.
They offer a wide range of account's, I have choose to go for a "select account". The benefits for this account include free £50 overdraft, free AA membership, reduced interest...

Review of Lloyds TSB
...Lloyds TSB are becoming increasingly irritating with their in-branch pushy sales tactics. What used to be a five minute visit to the bank has now become 40 minutes as they try and sell you a mortgage, credit card, loan, insurance or an up grade to your account. If I do need to go into a Lloyds TSB branch, I mentally prepare myself before entering so that I am ready to speak assertively when the cashier asks ''There is something flashing up on your account. Do you have a few moments to speak to someone about this? It could be important.'' Don't be fooled. This means they want to take you into a room to try and sell you products and you will feel very awkward about coming out of the room, 40 minutes later, without agreeing to insurance/ credit card/ mortgage. I was also getting a phone call every day at home until I asked to come...

Review of Lloyds TSB
Advantages: they gave me non of which to speak Disadvantages: where on earth do i start
...If anyone should be considering changing their account details to Lloyds TSB, then I strongly recommend you think again.
It was approximately 7 months ago when after 4 years with Abbey National, I decided, that the rewards might be much more satisfying if I were to transfer my account to a ?proper? bank, rather than keep using a building society, with my savings happy enough in Abbey Nat, I proceeded to open a current account that I hoped would be more suitable, pay me a bit more interest, and have a better structure for me! I had my current account with Abbey nat for 3 years, and they still refused to update my Visa Electron card, (which any 16 year old can be found carrying around) for an actual real Visa debit card. This prompted me to make the move, and as my boyfriend had been with Lloyds for years and they had (to be fair...

Review of Lloyds TSB
Advantages: All over branches, Easy to Open new Account, Good customer care services Disadvantages: Hard to get Overdraft or Advance

My Local bank:- Lloyds TSB
"Banking is a part of our daily life. Life is easier with good banking. There are too many banks these days in the market. Some of them are international banks, rest are national or local banks. Aa usual I have an experience with some of the good banks. Banks like HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds TSB & ICICI Bank UK LTD. All banks are good in some part & bitter in few areas. Now a days my bank is Lloyds TSB, it's good bank for simple daily routine activities like paying your bills, setting up direct debits, depositing your salary & income.
Lloyds TSB is providing services to business & individuals, giving loan, mortgages, credit cards, savings, insurance etc. It providing many current account services like Classic Account, Classic Account with Vantage, Classic Plus. I have a classic account...

Review of Lloyds TSB
Advantages: Lots of branches Disadvantages: poor customer service, treat badly, only think about the money and not the customers
...Well i would like to start by saying i have had a bank account with LlyodsTSB for around 9 Years now, and I would consider myself as a good customer to the bank, However if they treat all there long standing customers as good as they treat me they wont have many customers left.
I opened my account originally when i was 11 because (TSB as it was then) they where offering free easter eggs for all the new customers, which encourage me to join, so i took my £2 to the bank and opend a new account, when i began work and stared to bank with them properly i was impressed by there service of the bank, and had no reason to join another bank, my wages where always paid in on time, and and the staff at the bank where very freindly and helpful.
However, since the bank joined Llyods the service has gone downhill, the customer service has been...

Review of Lloyds TSB
Advantages: Offers services you'd expect from a bank, high free overdraft limit for students Disadvantages: Confusion applying, no interest, little contact, constant changes, poor internet banking
...I would like to begin by pointing out that I have had a Lloyds account since 14/11/1996; opened when I was 14 with the princely sum of £5. In all that time, I’ve mostly been very satisfied. What's more, the bank has merged with TSB, offering more cashpoints, introduced internet banking, etc, etc.
When I first opened the account, it was a special account for young people, known as a ‘Headway’ account and paying between 1% and 2.15 % interest (depending on how much was in it). After my 16th birthday, it automatically transferred to another account (simply called ‘bank account’ on my statements) and earned 4% interest if above £250 but only 0.3% for amounts below that! The transition though was smooth and didn’t bother me.
There were the usual minor changes from time to time and in July 2000 my...

Review of Lloyds TSB Accounts
Advantages: friendly, competent staff Disadvantages: wish there were more rewards and perks
...My husband has had an account with Lloyds TSB since he was a student. He has no complaints against them. When I married him and moved to the UK, naturally I just used the same bank that he did. It was also the nearest bank to our house so convenience did play a part in my choice.
I was quite surprised when I first opened my current and savings account to find that they didn't offer you any rewards and such for opening an account with them. When I was in dublin and opened an account with Allied Irish Bank, I was received a bunch of stuff- a CD, some money to start off my account, and a couple of other things. Of course I was a student then and that could probably be why I was offered those perks. All I got from Lloyds was a blue cover for my cards. Well, I don't know whether to complain cos I'm not sure what the other banks here are...

Review of Lloyds TSB
Advantages: i do on line banking, quite good. Disadvantages: Too easy to get your money , I'm talking the bank making mistakes
...I have been with the TSB for 0ver 12 years now. I find them mostly ok , the staff are friendly enough.
The only problem that I have had with them was when I had to go on reduced payments for my loan . The normal date of when payment used to out of my bank was the 19th of each month. When I went on reduced payments they changed the date to the end of the month.
Everything was O.K until they put me back onto full payments after six months and completly emptied my account of all monies.
What they actually do is put your payment date back to the original date without telling you then attempt to get all the arrears back all in one go.
This happened twice, I was in Argos at the time buying something for £10 when my Delta card wouldn't go through, they said I hadn't enough funds in. Rubbish I said my wage has just gone in.
Anyway I left...

Review of Lloyds TSB
Advantages: Online Loans very quick, easy and hassle free Disadvantages: Possibly too easy to get your hands on the cash
...every case when you got a quote this wasnt the rate applied. To get this rate i had to borrow enough money that i could afford to be personally fed truffles by David Beckham in The Palm resort in Dubai.
However when i entered my loan amount, under 10k, i found that the APR was almost exactly the same from one company to the other and only amounted to pennies difference each month.
Having realised the actual cost element was virtually identical i decided that my other requirement was the firms reputation and also the ease of actually using their website. Due to banking with Lloyds TSB i decided that they would be my first point of call to obtaining the car of my dreams that i would drive off into the sunset clutching a beautif......sorry, got carried away with my writing.
The Application
As previously mentioned i bank...
