Dimplex convection heater with turbo fan

Advantages: Turbo Fan, secure wall mounting, switchable turbo fan
Disadvantages: Mechanical thermostat with turbo fan can be attention grabbing!

...One of the many heaters I tried was this Dimplex free standing/wall mounted convection heater with Fan Boost. I decided to try this after a returning my 4th failed Bionaire BCV3100 heater. The wall mounting arrangement was very affective in securely locking the heater to the wall using 3 simple hooks. The unit is very light weight. There are 2 switches on the side. A power On/Off switch and below that a Hi/Low switch. Below the switches there is a mechanical thermostat to further regulate the heater. On the front of the heater integrated into the turbo fan grill there is a switch to turn the turbo fan on or off. A nice feature is on a hot day you can run the turbo fan without any heat, this provides a cool draft from the heater although it is not as affective as a desktop fan though. Flymo Turbo Compact 330 Vision

Advantages: powerful, efficient, easy to manouvre
Disadvantages: needs all the spacers to cut the grass low enough

...I bought this to replace my old Flymo 300 plus which after 7 years had finally collapsed, largely due to my mowing over a tree branch which broke the impeller. I decided to go for a bigger mower and am very pleased with the Turbo Compact 330 Vision which is Flymo's replacement for the old TC 330 Compact. It floats across the lawn beautifully and picks up a lot more grass than my old one. It doesn't pick up as much as a rotary but if your lawn is average sized or an odd shape a rotary isn't really suited anyway and I can't say that the bits it does leave are either noticeable or a problem. If anything it's too good at hovering and needs all 3 spacers fitting between the blade and impeller to get the lawn as close cropped as I like but having said that it doesn't need to be any closer so is not actually a problem if you're not comparing...

Flymo Turbo 330. I bought this and I KNEW what I was buying!

Advantages: Compact, light, easy to store, grass box, quiet.
Disadvantages: None I have found

...at the description. Please excuse the brash tone, this is directed at those who complain about features they knew about before buying. It's a turbo compact hover mower, compact means it may well be smaller than the one you used to own so expect that. A 33cm metal blade to me indicates a 33cm wide cut. If I thought 33cm was too small, I'd opt for a larger model. A 30 litre grass box should be ample for a small to medium garden. My garden is quite large but the mower is a perfect compromise when it comes to the amount of grass it holds, too much it gets too heavy so 30 litre is a good size and even better for storing. 1500 watts power is enough power to get through slightly long grass. If your grass is too long, don't blame the mower if it can't cope, blame yourself. 12 metre cable, if your garden is longer, get an extension or a mower...

Turbo CLub, Masplomas, Gran Canaria

Advantages: Great resort, accomodation, entertainment, and food was not repetitive.
Disadvantages: Poor security - when we went anyway - perhaps it has been improved.

However, I feel I should, get into the open what happened on our vacation. One of our rooms were broken into. And it was not just one of our rooms that got broken into. There were several other people across the resort also being broken into. The fact this could happen is obviuosly becuase of the lack of camera's and security on site. You see the resort itself is good. For our two rooms, we had a private staircase going up to them, there were two appartments underneath aswell (on ground level). Three of us at went away for a walk to a fairly local shopping centre, while one of us stayed and had a snooze. My sisters, stayed in the room on the right at the top...

Advantages: Rare, Tuneable, Desirable and Fast

...I`ve owned a black 1988 series 2 for 9 years now and it just keeps getting better. Every year they bring out faceless, soulless plastic cars and the RST just looks better. It`s so tuneable and 200 bhp is easily achievable on the series 2 as they were de-tuned from the factory for road use. All you need is a new fuel management chip (Ahmed Bayjoo chips are by far the best), a -31 actuator to increase the boost (series 2`s can easily handle 1 bar( or 15psi) unlike the fragile series 1 engines) and a decent exhaust and a high lift cam will see you with at least 180 bhp. This amount of power in a car that doesn`t weigh that much equals a lot of fun and some embarrassed Subaru/Evo drivers! Obviously you can go with more power but then it starts getting expensive. Front mount intercoolers cost a bit and hybrid/uprated turbos are expensive...

Turbo Iron

Advantages: Gets the clothes ironed - plenty of steam

RS TURBO SHED!!!

What a shed and to think I sold my K Reg Fiesta RS 1800I to get it!!!It was quick but noisy, unreliable kept breaking down, etc. I bought a K & N air filter for it and it was exactly the same but noisier!!! No more performance!!!I sold it to some mug in the end for 3 grand which cheered me up no end. I now have a Nissan Primera which is comfy and large. Its a bit slow though!!!...

Turbo either goes fast or not at all

...The Fiat Uno Turbo effectively replaced the 127 GT/Sport as Fiats hot hatch. The 127 barely reached 100MPH but 1985`s Uno Turbo could do 125MPH and 0-60 in 8.3 seconds. Its only rival was the Renault 5 Turbo with similar performance figures. The Italians chose a Turbo when many manufacturers, notably Peugeot - went for the big engine/fuel injection plan (Pug 205GTi, for instance) The Peugeot and Renault handle slightly better but for sheer straight ahead performance from the little 1300 engine, the Uno is unbeatable. There is some Turbo lag (when the Turbo cuts in) but the Uno will still zoom away from the lights in speedy fashion. Handling is still good but the ride firm - inkeeping with the sporty nature, I suppose. You get a sporty interior with a "Turbo" steering wheel, red seats/belts and exterior-wise, sporty look stripes...
