Advantages: very fast
Disadvantages: none, really!!

...This is my favourite design so far by the acer travelmate brand. It looks a bit cooler and thinner than the other travelmates, which have previously looked a little bulky and boring. I think the main reason why it looks cooler is that its 2 different colours, black and silver, rather than being just black like the other ones. This features AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-56 processor which runs the 2gb installed ram like a dream. Another great thing about this laptop is that the ram can be upgraded to 4gb, this isn't cheap however and could cost over £100 to upgrade it to 4gb of ram, however this would make the laptop run so much faster so if you do need a really fast laptop then this is possibly something you might think about when buying it. Advantages: protable

...again like all the travelmates this laptop is specifically designed for those working people. it just makes working on your laptop that little bit easier. most acers however don't look very stylish, however there is an element to this that acer have actually tried to make this one look nice for a change. there are better looking laptops out there but I think this travelmate actually looks pretty good. however it does still look a bit bulky compared to the newer laptops out there. Advantages: A fast compact laptop with a great flat screen
Disadvantages: Can get worryingly hot and the fan is a bit noisy

...A good, quick laptop that is compact and light to carry. It looks the part, clean lines and easy to use touchpad. The 2G of RAM also makes this an economical option, but there is no problem with the quality of the product given it's low price. The laptop does get quite warm after prolonged use, so I tend to ensure that it is switched off overnight, or not left for long periods. My techno-dunce of a partner and 7 year old son are happy to use the laptop with ease. The wireless fuction is excellent for use anywhere in the house with the wireless broadband capabilty. The wide screen adds to your viewing pleasure and the product comes with Windows XP but is Vista compatable. Advantages: great support, good price, very attractive design, great buttons & touchpad

...I have this laptop, this is my experience: Windows in general: For general use it is ok as any other recent laptops. The ATI driver seems to have some problems under vista, sometimes the laptop hangs with vertical strips on the screen. This does not happen on XP or Linux, so I think this is a Vista only problem. This happens very infrequently anyway, like once a week under very frequent usage. Gaming: I have played GTA San Andreas & Need for speed underground 2 under xp, GTA SA with full details, NFS with the least details. Heroes 5 plays extremely slow even with minimum details (1-2-3 FPS), Gothic I runs ok with maximum details. I have not tried anything else yet :-) Linux: I have installed Slackware 12, this is my primary OS currently. During the install I could not use the suggested kernel, as there is a problem in the kernel... Read review

...above this is a metal great where the speakers are, not the most attractive however it is the way all Altec Lansing speakers are designed and the quality makes up for the looks. ~~~Power~~~ The basic specs of the DV6095: - AMD Turion X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 - 2048MB Ram - 100GB HD - Lightscribe DVD Burner (Dual Layer) - 128MB PCI-e NVIDA GeForce Go 7200 - 15.4\" WXGA Widescreen - Windows Media Centre 2005 - WLAN For a start the processing power for such a small machine is simply exceptional and easily allows me to convert a file to DVD while surfing the web or writing reviews. The processing power is provided by an AMD 1.81GHz dual core which should be more than enough for any laptop user.
