...I have a passion for chocolate but I also love milk chocolate with Turkish delight. I have tried various brands but my favourite is Fry’s. Whilst shopping at Asda I was ‘delighted’ to find that they had Fry’s Turkish Delight on special offer. A pack of three usually cost 99p but two packs today cost me £1.50. So there I was with my boots blacked stuffing two packs in my trolley. They won’t last long though because my husband likes them too. Fry’s Turkish Delight claim to be ‘92% fat free and full of eastern promise’. The packaging is made of a deep pink plastic with ‘Turkish’ in large bold white writing and ‘Delight’ in much smaller gold lettering. Inside are 3 individually wrapped bars of ‘Turkish Delight’, which are very similar to the outer wrapping except they are in a very shiny shade of pink. For the purpose of Ciao... Read review

...My mum is a creature of habit. She knows what she likes and can be somewhat reluctant to try new things. This means that her favourite chocolate bars have been a staple in our house. For as long as I can remember we have usually had Turkish Delight in our house for my mother's consumption. The form that it usually came in was Fry's Turkish Delight. However in recent years she has switched to Dairy Milk with Turkish filling. But when I returned home two weeks ago I discovered that Fry's Turkish Delight had returned. ...Turkish delight is something you either love or hate. Personally, I love the stuff and always have done. It is the one chocolate bar I can honestly say I buy on a regular basis. *** Product Appearance *** There is something about this bar which denotes "quality". The shiny maroon wrapper is very alluring and has a slightly mystical quality about it. If you hold it to the light, you can just make out small temples in the background, but these are very faint. ...How can anyone eat this? Sultan’s Turkish delight has to be the worst chocolate bar ever. It is disgusting. I hope all you readers out there know what I am about to go through to give this opinion. So to give you the full benefit of my experience of it I have to taste it and that is not going to be easy, as I hate the things. So here goes. Advantages: the taste

...frys turkish delight has to be one of my all time favourite. The taste, the smaell and the look will blow you away. It is cross between eating a thin layer of chocolate and a thick lump of jelly. It is truly tasteful. I ever liked turkish delight until one day when the car broke down and we were stuck out in the sticks for 2 days!!!!! When i came across a frys turtkish delight bar in the glove compatement. I was so hungry i ate the lot, not even telling my family what tresure i had found. Ever sincr that day frys turkish delight has been my best mate, the one that lifts me out of depression, the one that Satisfies me. i comes in a purple packaging which is foil fresh. This makes i taste much better. I is fairly cheap costing about 30 odd p. The only disadvantage with it is that the moment you take a bit it is gone. just like that. So... Read review

...As a confessed chocaholic , who has always had a thing about turkish delight , I spied this in my local supermarket and quickly bought it. Now I have always carried a bit too much of the old blubber and have spent a life time yo-yo dieting.Some times succeeding and sometimes failing . I have learned to accept myself warts and all as they say (No Idon;'t have any warts) Having said that if I can make a healthier or low fat choice with something I do try to. I have bought various flavours from the options range in the past . The orange ( outrageous orange as it is now known ) has always been my favourite . Options are made by ovaltine , so a reputable well known brand. ...*****Cadbury Dairy Milk Turkish***** Whilst in my local (and very handy) Co op I noticed they had a 3 for 80p offer on Cadbury Dairy Milk bars in all varieties, and thought I would buy 3 different bars to do some research into for a review for the lovely readers on Ciao to get their teeth into. I bought Dairy Milk Turkish, Biscuit and Wafer as I love Turkish delight and hadn't tried the other two bars before. I do however love Cadbury's chocolate (mmm all that chocolatey goodness) so I feel assured in some ways that these bars will be truly scrumptious! I have already done a review on Dairy Milk Bubbly, and the next bar to meet the M.I. challenge (that's MentalInfestation not Mission Impossible) is Dairy Milk Turkish. An ideal bar to do a review on, I guess, with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in the cinema... Read review

...For me this has always been a favourite. When a box of chocolate is given to anyone in my house the Turkish Delight belongs to me. I'm not here to write about a box of chocolates, I'm here to write about the best Turkish Delight available in the shops, Fry's. Little know to me until further examination of the pack but Fry's Turkish Delight is actually made by Cadbury's. On further investigation I discovered (sorry history lesson coming up) that in 1919 a merger with J S Fry and Sons saw the integration of the well known brand Fry's Turkish Delight. So as we can see it has been around for some time, and must have remained a favourite here and in many other countries.
