Advantages: Ahem. They're record decks.

...certainly not recommend for you to buy these if you were looking for a pair of cheap direct drive decks. They handle as if they are belt drive, and there really are better value ones available, which is why I am currently saving up for what have generally been regarded as the best quality and most reliable decks for the past 25 years, Technics SL-1210s. Basically, there are two types of deck, belt drive and direct drive. I won't go into the details of what makes them work differently, but the main difference between the two is the amount of torque (power with which the deck is turned). On a belt drive deck, it is very low torque. If you were to touch the record on a belt drive deck, with the intention of slowing it down, the turntable will slow down and take a while to get up to the speed it was previously at. Advantages: Saves buying loads of expensive maternity trousers / skirts etc

...I am pregnant with my first child and have noticed that if you are pregnant you are not allowed to have stupidly long legs (I have a 34 inch inside leg). Anyway to my point........ I resent having to pay silly money on a pair of trousers which I will only wear for a few months and as I am currently 4 1/2 months pregnant I don't have enough bump to hold up the maternity jeans I have found which are long enough. Now this is the problem, I am too big for my normal clothes, but not big enough for maternity stuff (well the things I can find long enough anyway). I was down to 2 pairs of trousers I could fit into and getting pretty desperate as the high street near me offered nothing to fit. Advantages: Great quick way to get tones abs

...This is a great product because it does tone your abs well and it is well worth paying the money to do it. The belt is comfortable and you can easily turn it off and on quickly. The great thing about this product is it can be worn under your normal clothes and use it all day. No one will notice. You can keep it private and you will have that body you desire in no time, without the hard work of going to a gym. I loved it when i used it and i feel happier about myself now and am glad that i used this product. Wheras Comet and Dixons are just interested in a quick sale, the good Hi-Fi dealers will give you loads of advice, and let you play with lots of combinations of separates in a dedicated studio. This is a serious piece of Hi-Fi kit, and will appeal only to the audiophiles amongst you. The plinth is pretty solid, and the glass turntable floats on an 'oil-bed' powered by a rubber belt. This arrangement ensures a perfect speed with no fluctuation, and any tremors are dampenend; thus the cartridge picks accurate information form the record groove. The turntable may appear basic, and of course it has been built to deliver quality. The tonearm can be adjusted to apply various levels off pressure to the record surface, and will not 'skate' over the vinyl. OK... now in 2004, I'll admit I'm not buying vinyl... Read review

...I was given this as a gift after expressing an interest in collecting vinyl. I needed a turntable on which I could play records without the additional expense of an amplifier and speaker system, and this device looked like the best choice (it has a pre-amp, meaning it gives out sound at an already usable level so it can be plugged straight into speakers). Mine was purchased from Firebox for £79.99 - it's not hugely cheap, but it does contain everything needed and so the price is really quite fair. First impressions of the turntable were impressive. Size-wize, it is pretty large and you'll need a decent sized area (approx 42cm x 34cm x 10cm) on which to place it. ...If you have a stack of old vinyl records at home and are frequently quoted saying ' they don't make records like they used to' then the ION ITT USB turntable is the product that you need. Whilst a lot of the classic vinyl albums have been released on CD there are still many that are not available. The turntable is made from sturdy plastic with clear easy to use controls. The only assembly required is to put the head together and attach it to the turntable mount. Getting the balance correct is fundamental to record reproduction but the instructions are clear and the task is comparatively easy. ...For a long time, the only turntables which DJs would even consider using were the Technics SL-1200/1210's. Then came Vestax, who were technically (that is to say, on paper) better than Technics. Numark have never released a Technics contender, until they released the Pro-TT-1. Of course, it all depends on what setup you have and your mixing style et al. You look at the Pro TT-1 and you realise that it was designed for the higher market of DJ turntables.
