...The Archos AV500 is a mobile DVR; Digital Video recorder. So what does that mean and why should you be interested? Hopefully this review will help you. Lets start with a basic specification, the Archos AV50 comes in 3 sizes (yes 3 despite what Archos' own site indicates!) 30, 60 and 100GB. It can play Divx 5 and 6, as well as Xvid and Microsoft's PlayForSure video content. It can play WMA, MP3 and WAV files. It can record from a number of sources and it can playback to the TV as well and it understands both PAL and NTSC. ...I purchased the Sony HDD cam towards the end of 2007. It cost me just over $1100 Australian, (around 320 GBP). The camera is light, compact, with easy to follow controls. Although the model is listed as SR60, in fact the hard-drive storage is 30gb, and I've found that this provides more than adequate room for my needs. You can record on this camera in several modes - Ive just set mine on High Quality mode which according to the instruction book is good for around 440minutes recording time- surely enough to satisfy most video buffs ! I'm not a whizz at connecting these things up, and getting the info on to computer, but I found the Sony remarkably easy to deal with. Advantages: Very large memory capacity, holds music, photos and videos too, stylish and small design.
Disadvantages: Very poor usage instructions, quite pricey still.

...and crisp, even the base is pretty good too. In the settings section there's something called EQ which allows you to increase/decrease the base or alter the vocals to ensure you get the perfect sound. As for photos the colour is exceptional, so clear with really bright colours too. As for videos I've only loaded music videos on and the quality is outstanding, the screen rarely jumps unless you're running fast and the colour is brilliant - just like watching a pocket TV really. It's much more up to date than the older ipod 20gb or the ipod mini and has a much greater capacity than the new ipod nanos. So far I've got 1000 songs on it and a couple of music videos and still have over 52gb of space left. ...(which is a basic plastic bracket..I prefer just to leave the phone in a cubby hole)..I also got a free mouse mat. The free accessories are third party parts but are of satisfactory quality and come in mobileshop's 'accessory pack' this really makes it amazing value. Normally a carry case costs 9.99 GBP. I got my phone on the previous offer with Cellnet Tariff, I also have a vodafone phone and generally speaking vodafone's coverage is not quite good as cellnet with usually a bar less on the signal strength indicator. I find Vodafone is much better than 121 coverage which I can't even pick up in my own home in places (call quality is also not as good on 121) Vodafone call quality is impressive in the area I live in, but not so great in some parts of London where cellnet doesn't have a problem. ...on the internet cheaper than this. I have seen it on one site for £80+ pounds sterling, with returned units being sold from around from £60+. Considering the Video Capture unit I was about to buy would have cost me £80, and my existing internal TV card cost me around £30 a few years ago, I did feel it was a reasonable purchase. I have to say I am impressed with the quality of TV image I receive, it is far superior to what I have been used to from my existing internal card, and I now have an encoder to allow me to capture my old camcorder videos too. ...Fantastic new product from Apple, released in November 2005. This so called 'video' iPod marks a move of Apple towards video content in support of watching music videos, and short Pixar films, along with video podcasts. I started downloading video podcasts to watch on my laptop, as there is some great content out there available on the iTunes store, supported by iTunes 6 and the new version of Apple's Quicktime 7.0.3. For those of you who don't know about podcasts, these are short radio (and now TV) shows made available to customers to subscribe for FREE on webfeeds or through the iTunes music store. In the USA, Apple has made TV show content available for a small price the day after the show has broadcast. Unfortunately, in the UK, they are still at the discussion stage, but many shows apparently are being lined up for distribution... Read review

...is a must for any Indian household. The monthly subscription is GBP 12.99. The package comprises the following channels: Zee TV, Zee Music and Zee Cinema. Zee TV has been broadcasting in the UK for over 10 years. It has certainly been more successful than its predecessor TV Asia. The variety of programmes on Zee TV is similar to Bangla TV. There is something for everyone. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Antakshari are two of my favourites. I don't speak a word of Hindi so most of the programmes are meaningless. The standards of a lot of Zee TV programmes are far higher than a lot of English speaking channels. But over the years I have dumbed down and my standards have plummeted. I would much rather watch 'Celebrity Love Island' than a high brow political discussion. Zee Music showcases the latest videos and also shows songs from Bollywood movies... Read review
