FANTASTIC TV at a FANTASTIC PRICE. A MUST BUY!!!
Review of Samsung LE 40 R 73 BD by
ky_9988
Advantages: HD Ready, Digital TV built in, Black Gloss finish, Excellent Price
Disadvantages: Sound quality, requires constant cleaning as dust is quite visable
.... It is placed so that it is not visable from the front and it is hidden. Allows you to connect your digital camera, Camcorder etc.
Component Connection: It is the connection with the Red, Blue and Green colours. It Allows you to connect other component devices such as you DVD Player, Video, Hi-Fi, Etc.
Digital TV (Freeview) Tuner: It has a built in tuner for viewing freeview channel. There are upto 35 channels that come for free including TMF, Hits, CBBC, E4, BBC Three/Four, ITV 3/4, etc. This is excellent as you don't need to buy a seperate freeview box and also because when the signal finally goes digital across the country this TV will be compatible.
Wall Mountable: This TV is fully wall mountable. The bottom stand can be screwed off to allow you to wall mount it.
Sound: The sound on this TV is not brilliant with just 20 Watts...

Bush LCD23TV004 - Affordable space saver
Review of Bush LCD23TV004 by
NinaE
Advantages: affordable, good picture quality, easy setup, wall mountable
Disadvantages: only 1 scart socket, tinny sound quality
...Due to the lack of reviews on this TV, I decided to write one myself. Maybe a bad idea because I have never written a review about a TV, but considering what is out there so far ( I couldn't really find any information on it before I bought it) , it will hopefully be of help to some of you.
Lets start at the beginning. With prices of LCD TVs coming down, I decided to get rid of my bulky TV in the bedroom and find myself a nice flat wall mountable LCD. This was mainly due to lack of space, we all know how small english houses can be. After much research, I stumbled onto this one, and the price was too tempting to miss. I bought it for £399.99 at QED-UK, by far the cheapest, Argos has it on sale for just under £500 right now. It was delivered the following day in a very sturdy box and securely packed. At the same time, I bought a VESA...

The TV you'll want in your home
Review of Sharp LC 46 XD 1 E by
gilmore
Advantages: Crisp Picture, Good quality sound, HD, Good Build quality
Disadvantages: The TV is quite expensive,
...Contents:
My experiences of the Sharp LC-46
My thoughts
Annotated specification
My experiences with the Sharp LC-46:
When I was out shopping for a new TV after my old one recently reached it's last working days, I was at first reluctant to buy a TV with a very large screen. The reason being I felt it would stick out too much in the room. I was drawn to this TV because of its clever design and the subtlety of the speakers. This TV blends nicely with it's environment, despite being 46" in size and this is the reason I bought it. The thin frame around the TV is like that of a modern picture frame and not like the chunky frames of old TV's. When wall mounted, or indeed on the desk stand, it is possible to display family photos taken on 5 mega pixel cameras at their true resolution, and the TV can be used as a large picture frame...

Great First HD TV
Review of Sony KDL-40 U 2000 by
naesxx
Advantages: Fantastic Picture, Good Size, Price
Disadvantages: Connections, PIP, Remote
...like Sony with strong casing and quality materials used. The good point of the colour is it will fit with silver or black electronics without being out of place or too prominent or invisible
Setup & Connections:
First things first you can mount this or you can stand it on your really expensive glass TV unit, I chose the unit as mounting involves lifting and purchasing mounting kits and I just wanted it on at this point. So the Desktop stand requires you screw in 4 screws, you WILL need at least 2 people to do this as...
1 The TV is very heavy and
2 The Stand is equally heavy made out of solid metal surrounded with plastic
Once this is done you need to connect it to your gear now this can be done in many ways as the connections on the rear which are facing backwards and not facing down like a lot of new LCD TV`s do now, are 2...

mightyd
Advantages: Great quality 32 inch viewing and affordable: £600
Disadvantages: Can't deal with more motion in pictures as easily as other brands
...'t long before I bought the Wall mount kit which Is superb. It is a great accessory I recommend it, if you are buying this TV: The WALL MOUNT KIT - Model WMK-013 which will simply expand your display options and maximize space by mounting your LCD TV on a wall or cabinet. Fantastic!

Awesome Panasonic TV
Review of Panasonic TH-42PZ700E by
lyndsayw
Advantages: Everythin
Disadvantages: Price
...Since 1972 Panasonic have grown as a well established company in the UK. The Panasonic TH-42PZ700 is an awesome piece of kit. This in layman’s terms is a 42” Plasma screen HD Ready television with Free View built in, which will connect to every accessory you want it to.

Build Quality.

The build quality looks tough and durable though in my opinion any TV this price needs to be looked after properly.

Picture Quality.

The clarity and picture definition is unbelievable especially if you are using the High Definition feature.
Let me explain a little about High Definition TV this is a digital signal that is now being transmitted which allows your TV to display a picture with a higher screen resolution and a clearer more vivid picture. A lot of TV’s are now being built...

Pro-sumer Choice - HDR-FX7E Video Camera
Review of Sony HDR-FX7E by
bananamanuk
Advantages: HDMI, Manual Settings, Large LCD Screen, Quality steady shot, Battery Life
Disadvantages: No XLR Input, Battery charges on camera
..., small instruction manual and product accessories leaflets.
Note that you will need to purchase your own HDMI lead separately for viewing HD video. Also and rather bizarrely, no strap was in the box.
FEATURES AND USAGE.
The first thing to note is that you don't have a separate battery charger for the batteries so rather annoyingly they have to be charged on the camera, unless you want to fork out for additional kit. This is something unchanged from the VX2000 and from other Sony cameras. It just means that you can't use the camera whilst another battery is charging.
The main attraction to me for this camera is that it is High Definition, full HD 1080i and it has a 3CCD chip sensors. This means that there is one ¼" chip for each primary colour, Red, Green & Blue. Almost all consumer models will have one chip that covers all three...

Excellent value TV and Video combi
Review of LG KE-14U73 TV / Video Combi by
elmhurstgb
Advantages: Good quality at a reasonable price
Disadvantages: Not a top name
...Looking for an extra TV for the bedroom? Well, if you want a low cost 14” set that comes complete with a built in video then why not consider the latest offering from LG? The LG KE-14U73 is a TV / VCR combination that must be the amongst the best value combis around. At a price of little more than £130 you would have every right to expect a poor picture and tinny sound, however, the LG surprises and delights.
Although not a flat screen the picture is good quality and certainly as good as some of the more pricey models. The TV is easy to set up, the on-screen menus are clear and easy to follow and, if you use the auto tuning facility you can be up and running in around 2 minutes. The TV has a scart socket so if you have a DVD or a sky digi box you can connect it up.
The video is already programmed up, all that remains...

KIT ADSL Television
Review of Kingston Interactive Television by
jason.rowe
Advantages: No Satalite Dishes
Disadvantages: Reliability
...KIT - Kingston Interactive Television is the first televison service to come down your original copper telephone wire. The service is only currently available in the Hull area, but KIT have signed a deal with SKY to market across the country as soon as BT open up their local loops.
I have been subscribing to it for about 10 months now and in that time I have only being paying for it for about 5 months. The TV channels that are available total about 40-50 Digital Channels including SKY 1, Discovery, BBC Choice, ITV2, MTV etc. This package costs approximately £13 a month. Also available is SKY Sports and the film channels and some foreign channels aswell as Film4. These all cost extra, but one good thing is you can cancel your subscription to the extra channels at any time ie. when the football season ends. The quality...
