Advantages: Picture quality, nice shape and size for bedroom, HD Ready, Freeview built in, etc etc!
Disadvantages: Small text on menu screens, EPG not brilliant, only 1 HDMI port, no subtitle button

..., other than general LCD things, like I mean the fact that the picture looks bad if you stand too close and I've yet to discover the best way to clean the screen, I know you have to be careful, its not as easy as cleaning a CRT screen so be careful not to make stains any worse by using any old duster or cloth! it already has a couple of marks on it and im still waiting to get around to figuring out how best to clean it without making it worse, to be honest. - Official Site/Product Info. ...This 19" S-series BRAVIA TV LCD television is just beautiful. It looks so good - way better than most of the "plasticy" looking lcd tvs out at the moment. Bravia is a new Sony brand which, as Sony suggests, introduces the "next generation of LCD TVs to showcase Sony's technological expertise." What does Bravia stand for? ...they are good for 6 x 4 prints. A Carl Zeiss lens is used which takes supports a 10x optical zoom and a 2.3-megapixel Sony ClearVid CMOS sensor. Still shots can be taken up to 4 million megapixel. The HDR-HC3E has a number of ports for displaying your recording direct to a TV. These include HDMI, component and S-Video. There's no video light, but there is a flash for still shots. It has a built-in stereo microphone but doesn't have a a jack for an external microphone. Beginners will find the HDR-HC3E very easy to use. ...it in a billion different languages – you can….! The remote control is a good ergonomic size, and is built to a very good standard. It also is capable of controlling a DVD player, and a Video Recorder (Sony naturally!) the batteries are supplied which is nice. Comes with a 1.8m AC power cord, which is long enough if you are putting your TV next to a power socket. The registration card requires just a few details, and should be sent off as quickly as possible so that Sony have a record of your purchase, and kicks off your warranty. Of course when I bought my unit from the Sony Centre, I was offered the usual extra warranties etc, but I have opted to just go with the 1 year warranty (which is a bit disappointing considering its price) , and then should it go wrong after that, I will claim on my house insurance. ...I bought my Sony Digital Video Camcorder (DCR-TR7000) as a new millennium present to myself to take to London and get some shots from the top of the Millennium Wheel. All right it was about 10 months late because the Wheel wasn't operating for several months if I remember correctly. When we booked it, I did not fancy taking my SVHS Panasonic Camcorder because a), it was too big and heavy to hump around London and b), because it had let me down several times and couldn't be relied upon. I bought the Sony in Comet's on an end-of-line deal reduced to just under £400 from around £600 at the time. The next newest model had and adjustable LCD screen and the TR7000 didn't. This didn't bother me too much because to view the LCD screen meant I had to put on my reading glasses to see it properly, an activity which causes problems with our... Read review

...Like I said in my other review on the DVD player, the con was the fact that I had to buy a new TV to enjoy the full potential of my DVD player. And here it is, the TV that caught my eye. The Sony KV-27FS13 is a stylish, flat-screen TV. I think the main question that everyone asks is that, is there any point splashing out that little bit more and get a flat screen TV that is very stylish and space-saving, or should I get a cheaper non-flat TV? So basicly all you're asking is, is there any other advantages on a flat screen apart from the space saved and the stylish looks. Well read on. ...? - This is just what I was looking for, a good value for money machine that lets me watch my standard bought DVDs in the best possible picture quality and makes use of my TVs HDMI port/socket and it also allows me to digitise recordings onto DVD disks from my PVR, cable box and VCR. I've been able to digitise a few movies I'd taped off TV onto VHS videos from some years ago and I've thus been able to chuck them out, giving me more space - hurrah! I have piles more to do sometime and I look forward to getting more storage space - I don't think anyone can deny that DVDs take up alot less space than VHS videos do and plus you can't play VHS videos on a portable DVD player! For under £100, it may not come with the cables or any recordable disks (which I can't decide whether to let Sony off for this or not - hmmm not even one SCART or a DVD R disk... Read review

About the camera ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This camera is very good for recording home videos, what makes it a good buy is the fact that there is no wasting time when you want to play back things that you have recorded. The things you record can also be played in surround sound, if you know any thing about sound there is a considerable difference in quality. When you record with this it automatically recorded in DV format. There is also a good quality picture when you record, in comparison to the video kind of camcorders, and of course the picture wont jump while playing!
