Advantages: NONE
Disadvantages: suggesting it's good to mess up peoples property with stuff you are supposed to be eating, hardly a good advert to be showing to kids when you are supposed to be promoting the heathy, tasty side of yoghurt

...There you are watching your favourite TV Show – end of Part One ..... Adverts. Which ones do you enjoy? Which ones Annoy You? Well the Ski Yoghurt one really pi**es me off, for one. You know the one I’m talking about – the one where the guy is cleaning his car and just when he’s about to finish – PLOP! A big white ‘whoopsie’ on his bonnet. Damn Birds!!! ...Wella vivality (TV AD) I had two main phobias in life, one being a fear of loose hairs (you know the single straggly hair lurking around in the sink or worse still on your dinner plate (I wonder if there is a name for this phobia)): and the other being heights (I am the coward who hides behind a magazine when ‘don’t try this at home’ comes on TV). Advantages: Once you listen to black metal of this ilk there is no going back to the more traditional.
Disadvantages: People do not listen to this type of music with an open ear and this album is a tough one

...I'm an individual who enjoys a good bit of music. Any genre will generally do if it's 'good' - by that I mean not some terrible cheesy pop song, but generally I'll stick to my indie/rock malarkey. So it's ideal then that the New Music Express has introduced their own TV station - NME TV... Operated by CSC Media Group, it replaced the music channel 'Minx' in November 2007 - which is odd as I believe Minx was more a pop music channel that indie. Upon it's launch, the first song it played was 'Up The Bracket' by the Libertines, so a perfect indication of what this channel would be playing. 2000AD

Advantages: A good mix of stories constantly changing
Disadvantages: You might not enjoy EVERY story, and it's gutting if you miss an issue

...2000AD.. The Galaxy's Greatest Comic! It's a weekly comic that most newsagents stock (sadly, normally in the kids section) and features five 6-page stories per issue, the most famous character being Judge Dredd. And I owe it to John Wagner et al to point out the movie was sub-standard pap... This is the best advertisement for British creative talent around, but sadly most creators disappear to America for the money and use up all their great ideas on the superhero-churning machines that are DC and Marvel - except Grant Morrison who has way too much imagination... So what 2000AD offers it's readers is opportunities to enjoy up-and-coming fresh-faced creators mixed in with a few old school stalwarts. And that is the best thing, because there will always be at least one story you enjoy in this anthology mag to keep you interested...

Ad-Aware 6 Nearly Perfect

...Where would we be without Ad-Aware, nowhere fast on the internet that's for sure. It always surprises me how many tracking cookies and spy ware land themselves on my PC daily. Spyware varies from harmless cookies to aid logging in the next time you visit a site and remembering your favourite pages on a website, to tracking all your online activity, popping up ad's all over the place, to letting Trojan's in leading to no end of problems. I was using Ad-Aware 5 which was ok but did have a lot of drawbacks design wise (the layout was lousy and there was no auto update included). I downloaded Ad-Aware 6 from www.downloads.com brilliantly fast (for a dial-up download) and even better still a free version! ...I had used Opt Out (by GRC), a freeware application for quite a while to detect the assorted spyware nasties, which had deposited their payloads on my hard drive, as cookies, files and registry entries, but was faced with a dilemma as what to do when support for Opt Out ended. Very magnanimously the author of Opt Out was quick to promote the freeware program Ad Aware, which was at that stage at version 4.5 Lavasoft have since released Version 5 of the software and the latest version is Version 5.5b, and the product is still freeware, with 5.5b having been released on 16th June 2001. What I like The magazine has a good layout so that everything is easy to find. It is colourful and is easy reading.
