I like this advertisment of pepsi
Review of Pepsi [TV Advertisement] by
GermanGuillotine
Advantages: Funny,good product presentation,long
Disadvantages: -
...Hello, all who don't know, iam a german pupil who wants to get a better english here;).
We all see advertisment in tv every day, in every documentation, every sports event and every movie.
The most advertisments are boring, but there is one advertisment from UK, i saw in a german show which shows the best advertisments arround the world.
I really laughed about this advertisment so i want to write about it, you might know this spot.
THE SPOT
We are in Manchester stadium, David Beckham just flew out of game cause of a red card, he is going to the locker room but on the way to it he see a young boy with a Pepsi in his hand.
After this had game Beckham is thirsty of course and asks the boy if he could have a little bit.
Of course the boy says yet and it seems he is a big fan of Beckham.
Beckham drinks the Pepsi and enjoys...

Ads nowt to do with what they're advertising
Review of Diet Coke [TV Advertisement] by
jambo5678
Advantages: the drink's lack of sugar, the advert's humour
Disadvantages: single handedly aimed at women
...Diet Coke have recently began yet another lucrative advertising assault on British Television and follow they're previous attempts at being kitsch, cool and alternative while simultaneously targetting their product solely at women. Whether it be Etta James blasting out the immortal "I just wanna make love to you" while a scantily clad hunk sips diet coke to the orgasmic gasps of an office full of women or the latest gang of women acting bizarrely to the slogan "live it", the advertising brains at Diet Coke seem to think that only women are capable of drinking it. What about the clinically obese who want to lose a bit of weight or those people who just prefer the taste?!
The new adverts are admittedly quite funny, with a group of girls pleading with a park ranger to allow them to stay in the park after closing time by enticing him...

Is This Advertising Ethical
Review of Charities - NSPCC [TV Advertisement] by
leahslad
Advantages: Raises money for an excellent cause
Disadvantages: Unethical? Bad timing prior to watershed
...I'm a firm supporter of the NSPCC, please dont get me wrong but I have got to speak up about the recent advertising campaigns they have been putting out on our TV's, especially one I saw at prime time - with child viewers still watching!
THE CHARITY:
Before going into detail about the adverts, I feel it important that I first provide you with some basic information about the charity itself. The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) isa charity geared towards helping and supporting children who are suffering poor surrounding and/or child abuse. It has help lines and allows children to call themselves or for adults to report suspected child abuse. The money also pays for workers to go out and check the cases and find their validity, involving the social services if necessary to have the child removed...

An opinion on that awful Vivaility TV AD
Review of Wella Vivality Shampoo [TV Advertisement] by
dabmim
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: where shall I start?
...Wella vivality (TV AD)
I had two main phobias in life, one being a fear of loose hairs (you know the single straggly hair lurking around in the sink or worse still on your dinner plate (I wonder if there is a name for this phobia)): and the other being heights (I am the coward who hides behind a magazine when ‘don’t try this at home’ comes on TV). But now I have three, thanks to those kind people at the advertising department for Wella shampoos.
You’ve probably seen the advert for their latest shampoo ‘vivality’, although possibly you may not of as it’s only been on my screen a few times.
It’s the one where a chap (James Gooding (Kylie Mingoue’s ex-boyfriend)) goes in a restaurant and orders some soup. A pretty young waitress (Stewart-eyes wide shut) brings his soup to his...

ASDA on TV & the asda tune
Review of Asda [TV Advertisement] by
premier407
Advantages: Cheap, but not by a huge amount
Disadvantages: Horrible theme tune!
...Everytime i see the start of and asda advert i immediatly turn the sound on my TV off, as the theme tune is so bad!!!
It's been the same for years, and it stays in your head for so long after - trouble is it's just awful! I've noticed that the few times i've been into asda they play in (on a variety of instruments mind you!) every few minuites and it drives me mad.
Their adverts are irritating, especially the roleback ones because they never show you the NEW rolled back price, just the old price and a load of numbers rolling round. If you were to do a comparison, you'd find that most products only get rolled back a penny or so, hardly worth advertising so much.
I think that they use some very clever forms of advertising, like the change in the back pocket thing (despite the fact most people pay by card, not cash...

False Advertising?
Review of Sunny Delight [TV Advertisement] by
wampyrii
Advantages: taste nice
Disadvantages: high sugar content, high colourings, high flavourings
...Proctor and Gamble the makers of Sunny Delight advertise it as a healthy alternative to the usual soft drinks which children buy. They claim it has added vitamins and is therefore good for children and depict advertisements showing kids turning down coke etc. in favour of their product.
However this is all a complete sham! Sunny Delight is little more than water with a ridiculously high sugar content which is packed with colourings and flavourings and very little fruit juice at all. It amazes me that they are allowed to advertise their product in this way when it is far less healthy than many fizzy drinks and other fruit juices. Yes it may be 'the great taste kids go for' but at the same time it is liable to leave them with tooth rot and gum disease.
If you care about your kids at all you'd be well advised to steer clear from...

TV ...or not TV...? That is the Question !
Review of BBC - TV Licence by
jouk04
Advantages: Reasonable value for money
Disadvantages: Compulsory, and terrifying if you can't afford it !
...there is a common urban myth that all BBC content is funded by the license fee, which may be true, in terms of where they get the money from to make radio programmes, but you DO NOT need a license to listen to the radio, it is for T.V programmes only.
There are regulations governing the licensing of second homes, residential homes, hotels, students or special situations.
The BBC is paid for directly through each household TV licence. This allows it to run a wide range of popular public services for everyone, free of adverts and independent of advertisers, shareholders or political interests. 94.3% of the UK population used the BBC every month in 2005/2006.
I think that this is a good thing as the bloomin' advertisements on other channels drive me barmy… I used to think this was a spurious argument, but more and more I find the ever...

THE DAFTEST AD ON TV
Review of Ski Yoghurt [TV Advertisement] by
flashpointz
Advantages: NONE
Disadvantages: suggesting it's good to mess up peoples property with stuff you are supposed to be eating, hardly a good advert to be showing to kids when you are supposed to be promoting the heathy, tasty side of yoghurt
...There you are watching your favourite TV Show – end of Part One ..... Adverts.
Which ones do you enjoy?
Which ones Annoy You?
Well the Ski Yoghurt one really pi**es me off, for one.
You know the one I’m talking about – the one where the guy is cleaning his car and just when he’s about to finish – PLOP! A big white ‘whoopsie’ on his bonnet. Damn Birds!!! He wipes it off and …PLOP! It happens again. The camera leaves the man looking bemused and brewing with rage, as it pans skywards. Aha what’s this? A prank is afoot, Woman with kids on the roof are enjoying their Tub of Ski Yoghurt so much they are scooping it out with a spoon and firing it downwards at – what we now assume is Daddy and his shiny car.
Ha Ha Ha..what a wonderful product Ski Yoghurt is.
Who...

TV advert- may be confusing
Review of Virgin Mobiles [TV Advertisement] by
smoran
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...I think that the Virgin mobile tv advert "get divorced" may be confusing for some viewers. The ad is reffering to the fact that you can buy a virgin sim card for only £12.50 inc £10 calling credit and put it in your old handset , therefore making your old handset a Virgin Mobile handset. I dont think that point is made clearly in the advert.
Things to take into consideration when going for this offer- Virgin use one2one as their backbone, one2one are known for having signal problems especially in the north west. The sim cards will only be compatable in 1800 GSM phones, and phones that are unlocked, phones that fit into this catergory are genreally ex-contract Orange and One2One phones.

A TV TV!
Review of Hauppauge WinTV USB by
ben-lloyd
Advantages: Portable(ish), cheap, good value
Disadvantages: Needs an external aerial, viewing software is buggy
...!
The WinTV USB is advertised as being compatible with Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
The Unit - Use
Installation of the WinTV USB device is pretty simple:
1. Connect USB lead to free USB port on your PC/laptop
2. If desired, connect the Audio out port of the WinTV box to the audio in port of your PC (this step is not strictly necessary)
3. Connect your TV aerial to the coaxial port at the top of the box.
4. Install the WinTV USB drivers and WinTV2000 viewing software.
5. If necessary, reboot the PC to complete installation
Use of the WinTV USB is a little more tricky however...
The first time I tried to use this device it was on my wife's laptop which does not have an audio-in port. Little did I know that the drivers and applications bundled with the unit require the use...
