Mounts Bay Waters Apartments..A 5* experience!
Review of Mounts Bay Waters Apartment Hotel, Perth by
scarletuk72
Advantages: Very close to Perth city, stunning views, ultra modern......
Disadvantages: Room service got you up far too early!
...The apartments are a 20 minute drive from the airport and with the aid of a map we were able to find them quite easily. The Mounts bay waters apartments are situated on Mounts Bay road which is adjacent to two of Perths greatest attractions - the Swan River and Kings Park and is also just a few minutes stroll to the Perth central business district and also (more importantly if you like retail therapy) the shops!
Mounts Bay Waters apartments - also known as Mounts bay village, comprises of a number of buildings which house both hotel guests and residents.
Upon arrival we were quite excited as everywhere looked wonderful, not to mention clean, the reason for our excitement I will leave for another review, lets just say that our apartments in the last city, melbourne, didnt live up to expectations!
Anyway, There were six...

Hotel Mount Herbert, dublin
Review of Mount Herbert Hotel, Dublin by
steve2466
Advantages: Staff
Disadvantages: Evening Meal
...The nature of my work requires me to stay in away from home for several weeks of the year so it is important that I stay at quality hotels.
On this ossasion, July 2008, my company booked me into the Mount Herbert Hotel
This is near the Lansdowne Stadium and about 15 mins from where I was working.
I arrived at the hotel at about 7am and the staff on reception were extremely obliginging in allowing me to check in early.
The room I was given was extremely clean and in good conditionand well decorated.
It came with the usual tea and coffee making facilities, which were generously replenished on a daily basis.
There is satelite TV and includes the four main UK chanels
The buffet breakfast, that was included in the room charge, was well cooked and an excellent choice of items was available.
On the negative side I...

An excellent TV great value for money
Review of Samsung LE32R74BDX 32" HD Ready LCD TV by
msumsion
Advantages: Picture quality, connectivity, appearance, value for money, HD ready
Disadvantages: Limited PIP options, missing information from instructions
...When I decided that I was going to have my bedroom renovated I made the decision to buy myself a flat screen TV. I wanted something that was not too expensive and at the same time had all the features that I wanted. I did not want a TV that was tacky to look at either. I searched around and found this TV just about to be released. I went for it and have not regretted it once.
I have wall mounted the TV using a wall mount purchased from B&Q (a well known DIY chain) this cost me around £40 which was far cheaper than many of the alternatives I could find on the internet.
The TV looks awesome on the wall; although the swivel stand that it comes with looks equally good if you did not want to wall mount the TV.
The looks of the TV were a major consideration for me when buying this TV, but far from the only one. Functionality...

Bush 32" Widescreen LCD TV
Review of Bush Idlcd 32 TV 16 HD by
plymouth117
Advantages: extremely cheap, HDMI, excellent on DVD & Games, wall mount, lots of functions
Disadvantages: TV channels quality not as good as DVD/Game quality, low contrast ratio
...Bush Idlcd 32 TV 16 HD
Price £360
Features are listed at foot of review text
We bought this TV because our old 28 inch TV took up too much space. We wanted something that would look modern and wouldn't become the focal point of the living room. We love films and computer games and so we also wanted something that would make our movie nights more of an event.
We didn't think we could afford an LCD TV but we went shopping around for one nonetheless with an extremely tight budget. We looked at a few and thought we had found one we liked (a Samsung - apologies I have forgotten the model) until my fiance saw this this fellow. It was modern, it could be wall mounted, and if it was on a stand it didn't take up much room at all. Compared to other TVs in our budget it had 2 stand-out bonuses - 2 Scart sockets and even more...

Bush LCD23TV004 - Affordable space saver
Review of Bush LCD23TV004 by
NinaE
Advantages: affordable, good picture quality, easy setup, wall mountable
Disadvantages: only 1 scart socket, tinny sound quality
...wall mount to hang it up on my wall. Now the work started. The only wall I had available was drywall, hollow inside, so I was concerned about that. But some heavy duty fixings sorted that problem. Vesa is a mounting standard for LCD screens, that either use a 75mm mounting plate or 100mm. This TV uses 100mm and was easy to fit, due to it's weight of only 11kg.
In the box:
It comes with a kettle lead, same as most PC monitors do. Also in the box is a VGA lead to connect it to your PC if you want to, an easy to use remote control, the manual and warranty documents. Bush gives you the option to extend the warranty by either an additional 2 years (£51.90) or 3 years (£73.90), on top of the 1 year standard warranty it comes with. I found this to be the cheaper option, compared to taking out extra warranty with an online retailer or store...

Venturing into the world of budget LCD televisions
Review of Bush LCD 26 TV 016 HD by
Mainflava
Advantages: Easy to tune; clear, high quality picture, good sound
Disadvantages: None that I can see so far
....
Screen size......
Having looked at a number of flat panel TVs with screen sizes ranging from 15 to 32 inches, I decided to upgrade my normal screen size from 15 inches to 26 inches in order to provide that home cinema feel in a relatively small room. While large screens were also appealing, a combination of a tight budget (see above) and a small room with which the set would be located, forced my hand into the sub 32 inch category.
Bush LCD 26 inch TV
Eventually, after much searching, I stumbled across the above televison on offer for a shade over £300 including delivery - well inside my projected budget. On receipt of the television, I was suprised at just how light it was; weighing in at less than 17 kg meant that should I need to wall mount the unit, I could get away with much cheaper brackets and, I could even contemplate the tilt...

A TV TV!
Review of Hauppauge WinTV USB by
ben-lloyd
Advantages: Portable(ish), cheap, good value
Disadvantages: Needs an external aerial, viewing software is buggy
...application like Windows Media Player, but again this is really just a minor annoyance.
The option to connect external video or DVD players via the S-Video port is pretty cool, but again is at odds with the perceived portability of the unit. On the other hand use of this device does make connection of additional devices to your home PC a lot easier as the required ports are easily accessible after initial installation; there would be no need to root around behind your desk to attach the S-Video lead if it is mounted on the side of this device.
I would recommend the WinTV USB to any Windows-based laptop user who knows they will be near a fixed aerial and who just wants to add TV functionality to their mobile technology repertoire. For desktop PC users, I would suggest that they evaluate some of the other options available before commiting...

THE MOUNT FROM WHERE THE ARMADA WAS FIRST SIGHTED
Review of Saint Michael's Mount, Cornwall by
poshtroika
Advantages: Great Views.
Disadvantages: Not Disabled friendly, but sorry it can not be.
...SAINT MICHAELS MOUNT lies just off the Coast near Penzance.
I will start off by giving their web site address.
http://www.stmichaelsmount.co.uk/
This is an excellent site that gives a full History and Story of the Mount and I recommend a look for those details as my review is more about our experience.
We have visited the Mount on numerous occassions, starting with our first visit to Cornwall in 1969 as a Courting Couple (Thats an old fashioned term).
Other visits followed over the years with first one child, then two then three. And more recently with one of the Grand Chilren.
But each and every time it has its Magic. Each time the weather will be different. Also the tide and it is this that can alter the way you visit the Mount.
The Mount became an Island in about 2000 B.C. and at low tide can be walked across...

BUSH 27" WIDESCREEN LCD TV
Review of Bush LCD27TV005 by
kismet
Advantages: nice flat screen, sharp clear picture
Disadvantages: can the cat knock it over? not hd ready?
...a nice blue standby light, which makes a change from the boring red ones that most tv's have.
The television is suitable for wall mounting and we were told that brackets are sold separately, but we found some in our box, so which is the mistake I don't know!
The remote control comes with batteries provided and is slimline and very easy to use.
SETUP
++++++
My husband took the television out of the box, connected it to our various applicances and then stood it on the tv cabinet. He then switched it on and with the help of the remote control managed to install all 5 channels within minutes.
The television is not too heavy and is easy to move around. It has a long stand with feet that help to balance it out.
The remote control is great and it comes with an easy to understand guide book
SAFETY
+++++++
My only concern...
