Panasonic Plasma TV - 42 inch Viera One Glass
Review of Panasonic TH-42PZ800B by
makro74
Advantages: Too many to list
Disadvantages: pricey
...When looking for TV's these days, it helps to have research done as what the TV's are all about these days, what you get for your money, and how technically minded you are,
Today, you either get Plasma or LCD with most of the old Cathode Ray Tubes(CRTs) phased out.
One such model is PZ800B model 42 inch made by Panasonic. This range of TV is claimed to be the top of the award winning VIERA range from Panasonic. If you do not want to comprimise on quality, then believe this is the TV you want to go for.
SIZE
This model is 42 inch and also available in 50 inch. So when choosing any TV, make sure it fits! Unless of course you hang with a wall bracket on the wall.
APPEARANCE
Panasonic call this design 'one sheet of glass' and boy you can really appreciate it when you place it on the purpose built stand...

Trigger Happy TV, DVD, video and Soundtrack
Review of Channel 4 - Trigger Happy TV by
buddy_holly
Advantages: Very Funny
Disadvantages: You wonder why nobody thought of it before
...Trigger Happy TV is the brainchild of Dom Joly. It’s basically a half-hour sketch show with bizarre scenarios involving the general public. The closest thing I can compare it to is a Y2000 mixture of Beadles About and You’ve been framed without Jeremy Beadle (always a bonus). The thing that strikes me most about this show is that it’s such an obvious idea you wonder why nobody has thought of it before.
Probably the best known character is Mobile phone man who walks around with an oversized mobile phone. When it goes off he shouts very loudly regardless of where he is. You may have seen him do this at the Brit Awards earlier this year. A bent, fragile, elderly Pensioner is struggling across a road and a member of the public quickly aids him to his destination. When he’s got to his destination he stands up...

Review of Cif Glass and Window Wipes by
tange
Advantages: Quick and convenient.
Disadvantages: Don't tell you what they contain on the pack...don't clean for you! (Except that they are wipes, of course!).
...glass and plastic surfaces. Just remember to follow the pack instructions and don't use them on plasma televisions or lap-top screens. Don't forget to shop around for the bargains and don't expect them to perform miracles.....they are only wipes after all! They are a handy little product to have in your cleaning cupboard. I'm sure that if you look in the cupboard under my sink you will find a packet there ready for action! Give them a try and see what you think.....now if they actually did the cleaning for you......
For further info you can check out the Cif Glass and window wipes web-site:

Cookworks Silver Glass Blender
Review of Cookworks Silver Glass Blender by
mints4merlin
Advantages: cheap, blends most things, easy to clean
Disadvantages: has trouble blending ice, only two speed settings
...is required *cough* honest ;)
Appearance:
Stands just under 30cm tall with a plastic silver base. It has a black plastic dial with 3 functions: speed 1, speed 2, 'off'. The jug is heavier than the base as is made of glass and is complete with a glass handle. The lid itself is rubber and also good to clean.
Use:
Simple to use and did not need consultation of the written manula before use - it's very straight forward to use as has only 2 speeds of setting. The first setting is for soft fruits, veg and dairy. Speed two is used more for trying to chop up ice, blending up egg white for an amazingly high volume meringue! or for making ice cream milkshakies! Simple to plug in and turn the dial. But do make sure the lid is firmly pressed down and sealed arounf the rubber lip as other wise spillage, leakage or in rare cases, explosion may result...

Great First HD TV
Review of Sony KDL-40 U 2000 by
naesxx
Advantages: Fantastic Picture, Good Size, Price
Disadvantages: Connections, PIP, Remote
...like Sony with strong casing and quality materials used. The good point of the colour is it will fit with silver or black electronics without being out of place or too prominent or invisible
Setup & Connections:
First things first you can mount this or you can stand it on your really expensive glass TV unit, I chose the unit as mounting involves lifting and purchasing mounting kits and I just wanted it on at this point. So the Desktop stand requires you screw in 4 screws, you WILL need at least 2 people to do this as...
1 The TV is very heavy and
2 The Stand is equally heavy made out of solid metal surrounded with plastic
Once this is done you need to connect it to your gear now this can be done in many ways as the connections on the rear which are facing backwards and not facing down like a lot of new LCD TV`s do now, are 2...

A TV TV!
Review of Hauppauge WinTV USB by
ben-lloyd
Advantages: Portable(ish), cheap, good value
Disadvantages: Needs an external aerial, viewing software is buggy
...
The Unit - Overview & Appearance
Built by probably the best known PC TV tuner producer, the Hauppauge WinTV USB is essentially a glasses-case sized box of magic which allows you to transform your PC or laptop into a TV.. Executed in translucent turquoise plastic, the unit features a 2 foot long USB lead at one end for connection to your computer and a standard coaxial port for connection to an external aerial at the other. On the side of the box are three further ports; two 3.5mm audio jacks for connecting external audio sources and an S-Video port for connecting a video recorder or DVD player or the like. There is also the mandatory red LED to indicate power set into the plastic on the upper face of the unit.
Also included in the box is a CD with the WinTV...

Review of Panasonic TY S37PX600W Stand by
tan54321
Advantages: Wheels to manouvre
Disadvantages: cheap finish
...Well recently my Tv broke, and its one of the necessities of my life and im sure of many others, My previous television was a grundig make and did not include a stand, therefore I bought a mahogany tv stand with glass doors to hide away the dvd and sky box. So I went into comets looking for a new television, there are so many different kinds nowadays with alot of features. I came across the Panasonic range and was delighted, The Tv not only had HD but included a matching stand that the Tv would slid into place on top. It lookied sleek and modern, the price of £1200 including the Tv in my opinion was reasonable, the Stand would cost around £599 seperately at that time. So I waited two days for the item to be delived and was amazed at how easy the whole package was to assemble, I jus slid the glass shelves that would hold the extras...

WinTV-PVR-Digital TV and video on your PC.
Review of Hauppauge WinTV PVR-USB by
blackbeard
Advantages: Ecellent picture quality & ease of use
Disadvantages: Bit pricy
...and with a built-in stereo FM radio receiver. TV can be viewed n a resizable window or in full screen. This can allow you to watch TV in a small box as you continue to do something else on the computer at the same time.
However, what has this got to do with hardware for capturing analogue video?
Initially I went to buy a device to do just that, to capture video from my camcorder. However for a couple of pounds more, I ended up with a device which did just that that and can do much more.
Win TV PVR stands for Windows TV Personal Video Recorder, and that is exactly what this is.
This unit has the ability to allow Video camcorders/Video recorders etc to be connected to it via S-Video, or Composite Video connections, and has stereo connections for sound. This unit allows real time capturing of analogue video which can be compressed into various...

"TV Quick,More than Just TV"
Review of TV Quick by
Averilla
Advantages: Easy reading, informative
Disadvantages: More expensive than some others
..., having discovered this little gem about 3 years ago, I now regularly trot off to my local corner shop, every Tuesday and part with my 65 pence and then return home to have a cuppa (or on occasion a glass of vino) and a flick through this Mag' at my leisure. I say Mag' because this is not just a TV listing, this is how I catch up on my celebrity gossip and soaps. Working regular night shifts I actually don't watch much in the way of soaps anymore, so I use this as a catch up !
For those of you who may be looking on the shelves for this, it is the one with 'TV Quick' in big white bold writing on a red background..designed to catch your eye, the front cover is very bright and colourful and nearly always depicts soap stars from one or the other, there are little clips showing which celebrities will be featured for the week and at the bottom...

Bringing The World Together
Review of Philip Glass by
Floon
Advantages: A work of absolute pleasure
Disadvantages: It hasn't been recorded yet
...<<<<<<<< Philip WHO? >>>>>>>>
You may think you’ve never heard the music of Philip Glass, even if you’ve heard his name. The chances are you’d be wrong.
Philip Glass’ music pops up all over the place. He has written music of almost any genre you care to mention, from pop to opera; he has composed soundtrack music for numerous films; advertisements and television documentaries often use his music as background sound; and he has collaborated with musicians from around the world in an attempt to produce a synthesis between Eastern and Western cultures.
The film scores include Candyman, The Hours, The Fog of War, Kundun, Dracula, Mishima and The Truman Show as well as the “Qatsi” trilogy: Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi and Naqoyqatsi in which there are no actors and no commentary – just cleverly assembled footage and Glass...
