Disadvantages: Strange remote!

...Having just started university, I decided it was time to replace my ageing television. I also thought it would be a good idea to buy one with a built in DVD player as this would save me having to carry a seperate one about and would save on space, even if I had to compromise on quality. Now, bearing in mind that I have just embarked on my university life, I'm not exactly able to go out and buy one of the top of the range models. I'm also remarkably lazy, so I didn't shop around too much before I settled on the Goodmans GTV14T4DVD. THE BUNDLE I bought the TV from Tesco, so as you can understand, the package I got was the most basic one (I'm not entirely sure it varies between retailers anyway). Advantages: Small portable Tv with a DVD player

Advantages: Very Funny

...Trigger Happy TV is the brainchild of Dom Joly. It’s basically a half-hour sketch show with bizarre scenarios involving the general public. The closest thing I can compare it to is a Y2000 mixture of Beadles About and You’ve been framed without Jeremy Beadle (always a bonus). The thing that strikes me most about this show is that it’s such an obvious idea you wonder why nobody has thought of it before. Probably the best known character is Mobile phone man who walks around with an oversized mobile phone. When it goes off he shouts very loudly regardless of where he is. You may have seen him do this at the Brit Awards earlier this year. A bent, fragile, elderly Pensioner is struggling across a road and a member of the public quickly aids him to his destination. ...We are very pleased with this TV / DVD combo. This was bought for a bedroom and runs off an indoor aerial, even so the picture and sound quality are excellent. The set was easy to set up and took just a matter of minures to auto tune the TV channels. The DVD part of the combo is easy to use, the DVD loads easily and produces great sound and picture quality. in addittion to playing DVD, DIVX, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RW and Kodak picture discs can also be played. This set can also be linked directly to a PC, being very untechnical I haven't done this but I thought it was a good additional feature. The set also has teletext. Just a couple of disadvantages The first is that the user guide is not a step by step guide - which is what we needed in using the DVD facilities. Advantages: Great Value and Reasonable Picture
Disadvantages: Basic Sound.

...I was looking for a specific TV with DVD player in one to put in a bedroom to replace an old CRT that had given up on me. The TV has a good picture which can be adjusted as required. There are various modes, movie etc but they all seem a bit orange to me. The best way to set brightness and contrast is to do it manually to your own taste. Setting up channels is a matter of pressing three buttons so that is easy and the instruction manual is really simple to follow. All of the standard connections are on the back SCART, PC Etc The sound quality is basic but then for a cheap television that isn't a suprise. The remote however was detailed with lots of settings that can be adjusted. To be honest it was excessive for the TV. The DVD player in the side is well hidden. ...and alignment. The movements are very precise to ensure that the body is working correctly. It focuses on relaxing the mind at the same time as working the body. It is a slow form of exercise which some people find boring. You need to apply yourself, focus and concentrate on doing each movement well. Done correctly it will condition the muscles, tone and strengthen. I used to enjoy the classes at the gym but I would enjoy some more than others depending on the instructor. Some I felt that I could be working much harder, others I felt were at my level, this is why I chose the intermediate version of Pilates TV DVD. I am not super fit but I enjoy maintaining a moderate fitness level by exercising afew times a week. ...Incubus' 3rd (and best) DVD release "Alive at Red Rocks" is a journey through 19 of incubus' best songs, past and present, in a high-energy and spectacular performance. If you are an incubus fan you will already own this DVD or at least have witnessed the event 1st hand. If you are just starting out, this is a great start to an Incubus collection because the track list spans so many albums. Let me 1st talk about the DVD itself and the tracks it embraces. The DVD contains the 2 hour live show from the legendary performance on July the 26 (2004) at the Red Rocks amphitheatre. I've seen incubus live in Manchester before and I bought this DVD so that I could relive the experience. I was slightly disappointed that the DVD doesn't include "New Skin" and "Warning" but while the DVD was playing I forgot all about that! This is the track... Read review

...I am a huge fan of this show, consistently funny week in week out and by all accounts a ratings winner from the BBC. So I was quite excited when I received this as a Christmas present. However, the DVD is a bit hit and miss to say the least. The good points are that you get to see the comedians and guests in the time that is the pre-show; banter with each other and some members of the live audience. Some of this is extremely funny, especially Russell Howard who I think is personally under rated on the show due to the bigger personalities on the opposite team. What I didnt like about the DVD, which accounts mainly for my paltry three stars is that some of the content is just OTT in the offensive stakes. Dont get me wrong; 'too hot for tv' gives it away but nothing could have prepared me for stuff that comes out of Frankie Boyle... Read review

Advantages: Four good episodes of the simpsons, the simpsons rule
Disadvantages: There should be more than 4 episodes

..., which is why i like it so much. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In Conclusion: This was the first Simpsons DVD that i bought, and since then i have bought loads, around 20. but to me, this still remains one of the best DVDs, purely for the quality of the episodes, and the fact that the episodes on the DVD haven't been repeated on the television that much, and there are ALOT of episodes shown. I definately recommend that this is a DVD to add to everyones' collection, and especially if you are a Simpsons fan! Go buy it!... Read review
