The Combi Wth Style
Review of Akura AODV151R-S / T-S by
Mattroberts
Advantages: Good value, a fair few features
Disadvantages: Some people may require more features, not the best on the market
...I’d been a bit behind with DVD players for a while. I vowed I wouldn’t buy one when they were just out as they were too expensive. When I saw the record able one come out last year, I vowed I wouldn’t buy a DVD player (non-record able) until the record able one was cheaper. So, really I was being a bit of a cheap skate! So, when I got a brochure through the post and noticed a DVD/TV combi for under £100 I jumped at the chance to get it, because although it wasn’t record able it was still a great bargain. The make of it didn’t bother me, and I made sure it was more than a 12” screen (It’s 14”) and off I went to buy it.
I’m not the most technical of people so I’m not the best of people to be writing this review. I barely know anything about the ins and outs of the TV/DVD...

DVD Combi without the DVD !!
Review of Technosonic DTR110 by
supercityfan
Advantages: Cheap and good picture quality
Disadvantages: Infuriating Remote Control and a DVD player that doesn't function
...We purchased this 14" TV and DVD Combi in February 2005 for use as an extra TV in our bedroom. We had been looking to purchase one for a while, in silver, but had been put off a little bit by the cost because typically these were selling for upwards of £150. However, when I saw the Technosonic DTR 110 on special offer in Boots for £59.00, and in silver, I couldn't hesitate to buy the product, even though I didn't know the make of the product from Adam. However, I reassured myself that the product came with a 12 month guarantee, and for the price, what was there to lose ?
So who are Technosonic?
That is a very good question, and one I'm still not sure of the answer to. I have tried searching on the Internet, and as far as I can establish they are a Canadian company, based in Ontario. However, when you access their website...

Best combi bolier for a two beds property
Review of Worcester Combi Boiler by
adicos
Advantages: Cheap,powerful,easy to use
Disadvantages: NONE
...I had a Worchester Bosch gas combi boiler installed about 4 months ago. I waited so long for writing a review on it because I wanted to make sure that I am writing a review after I test it.
So, me and my wife moved into a two bed split level flat in London, which was in a very poor condition, having an old warm air heating system and a separate hot water heater which smelled gas when fired up ! I wanted to change all this and I decided to go for a combi boiler to save space - you know that the flats in London are pretty small, actually But which combi boiler to choose?
I read a lot of literature about combi boliers and after about two weeks of reading and asking people, I decided to go for the most expensinve make, Worcester Bosch, because I wanted real quality and everybody told me: "Bosch is the best...

Dash to buy the Combi Dash Pushchair
Review of Combi Combi Dash Pushchair Doll Pink by
highland77
Advantages: Easy to store and collapse.
Disadvantages: Bar going through the storage basket
...Having had problems with our first purchase, Bruin Sprinter Stroller, we found the Combi Dash Pushchair listed on the internet for a special offer of less than £60. We had previously seen the lime green version in Big W in Edinburgh. Suffice to say, the Doll Pink was a much better choice for our little one. There are a variety of colours available, but with a wee girl, Doll Pink is really the only option.
PLUS POINTS
The pushchair has a double folding system that is very easy to collapse and open. It also means that it takes up very little room for storage or in the boot of a car. One of the reasons that we needed a smaller pushchair was that our Graco one did not leave much room in the boot for any shopping and with a little un to get things for, you need plenty of boot space.
The pushchair can easily be folded up and the carry...

Excellent value TV and Video combi
Review of LG KE-14U73 TV / Video Combi by
elmhurstgb
Advantages: Good quality at a reasonable price
Disadvantages: Not a top name
...Looking for an extra TV for the bedroom? Well, if you want a low cost 14” set that comes complete with a built in video then why not consider the latest offering from LG? The LG KE-14U73 is a TV / VCR combination that must be the amongst the best value combis around. At a price of little more than £130 you would have every right to expect a poor picture and tinny sound, however, the LG surprises and delights.
Although not a flat screen the picture is good quality and certainly as good as some of the more pricey models. The TV is easy to set up, the on-screen menus are clear and easy to follow and, if you use the auto tuning facility you can be up and running in around 2 minutes. The TV has a scart socket so if you have a DVD or a sky digi box you can connect it up.
The video is already programmed up, all that remains...

Worcester / Bosch Combi Boiler Greenstar 30CDi
Review of Worcester Combi Boiler by
pselby
Advantages: Excellent energy efficiency and money savings over older versions
Disadvantages: Time lag to generate hot water on economy mode
...My wife & I decided to research our required product before going ahead with the installation. We spent a while doing this to ensure we got exactly what we wanted and more to the point what we required for the house we had just purchased. After looking at many manufactures websites and reviews on this and other sites and in conultation with the Corgi registered plumber, who we had chosen to do the installation, we decided on the Worcester / Bosch Greenstar Condensing combi 30CDi.
The Actual installation took two days but his also included having all our radiators fitted with Thermostatic valves for even better efficiency, the removal of the old hot water storage sytem and also the removal of the cold water stoarge sytem from the loft space. The house was empty due to the fact we were not due to move in for a couple more days so...

30CDi - Superb Condensing Combi
Review of Worcester Combi Boiler by
mesci
Advantages: Great Service/Warranty Package; easy to use
Disadvantages: Nothing yet.
...We had the Worcester / Bosch Combi Boiler Greenstar 30CDi installed in May this year, having recently moved into a house with a pre-historic back boiler. Having had over 8 heating engineers round to quote for the job and provide advice on their preference of boiler for our 3-bed semi, and then having reviewed the various boiler recommended (Valiant etc) we opted for the Worcester / Bosch Combi Boiler Greenstar 30CDi primarily on family recommendations, the fact that it came with 2 year warranty (3 years if installed by a Worcester installation engineer - as ours was) but the winning factor - that Worcester provided an extended warranty to 5 years, with the inclusion of a yearly service for 5 years for only £230 approx. You pay more than that in servicing alone for 3 years - let alone servicing by an approved technician for 5 years...

Good Basic TV/DVD Player
Review of Venturer LCD 15 DVD-206 by
Lexica
Advantages: Great Value and Reasonable Picture
Disadvantages: Basic Sound.
...I was looking for a specific TV with DVD player in one to put in a bedroom to replace an old CRT that had given up on me.
The TV has a good picture which can be adjusted as required. There are various modes, movie etc but they all seem a bit orange to me. The best way to set brightness and contrast is to do it manually to your own taste. Setting up channels is a matter of pressing three buttons so that is easy and the instruction manual is really simple to follow. All of the standard connections are on the back SCART, PC Etc
The sound quality is basic but then for a cheap television that isn't a suprise.
The remote however was detailed with lots of settings that can be adjusted. To be honest it was excessive for the TV.
The DVD player in the side is well hidden. (It also has a blue light on it you can turn on and off. I am...

goodmans 17" TV and DVD combo
Review of Goodmans GLCD17W2DVD by
50hcr
Advantages: great picture and sound. Looks good
Disadvantages: remote feels and looks awful.
...We are very pleased with this TV / DVD combo.
This was bought for a bedroom and runs off an indoor aerial, even so the picture and sound quality are excellent.
The set was easy to set up and took just a matter of minures to auto tune the TV channels.
The DVD part of the combo is easy to use, the DVD loads easily and produces great sound and picture quality.
in addittion to playing DVD, DIVX, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RW and Kodak picture discs can also be played.
This set can also be linked directly to a PC, being very untechnical I haven't done this but I thought it was a good additional feature.
The set also has teletext.
Just a couple of disadvantages The first is that the user guide is not a step by step guide - which is what we needed in using the DVD facilities. It took us a while to find out how to play a DVD eventually...
