...I watch tv quite a lot and I enjoy watching cartoons with my nieces. However I can honestly say that I have never really liked original characters such as Mickey mouse and Daffy Duck. Therefore Sylvester and Tweety has never been one of my favourites. The cartoon is about an old lady who has a cat called Sylvester and a bird called Tweety. Sylvester tries to eat Tweety and the old lady has to stop him. However they get up to lots of mischief in the process. The programme is suitable for people of all ages, but the programmes not that beneficial for children as it has no educational value. It is fairly funny though and that is its only positive point. Advantages: A great film for all the family

...Afer only 10 minutes I really forgot the character I was 'cheering' and 'ooohing' for was only made of plasticine, sounding silly well the voices were really well cast and the animation was superb. After only a few minutes you find yourself falling inlove with all the little quirks of each character. The plot of the movie is a little bit like the Great Escape crossed with Indiana Jones with Walace and Grommit type characters. Basically the chickens have got escape before their lucks up and were all having chicken pie for tea!! Follow as Ginger and Rockey try to teach the other chicken's how to fly over the barbed wire fence to save their skins, but watch out baddie Mrs Tweety is looking on ready to foil their plans. This movie is a great one for all the family, so take the kids along it's a great excuse to see it, it's got more action... Read review

...I needed some fruit so instead of shlepping to Tesco's I schellped to Morrisons instead as it was closer. Confronted by a few bags of bruised apples and a few bunches of green bananas and loads of boxes of meat pies (what?!) I felt a bit peeved and it was because of this I ended up buying a box of 6 Mr. Kipling Fruit Pie Selection. If you knew me you'd understand my way of thinking. According to the box there are two each of apple, blackcurrant & apple and cherry pies inside. I open the box and slide out the red tray that the pies are sitting in. Each pie is a pale golden shade and absolutely smothered in white sugar, each pie lid is quite domed (how do they get that to happen without it sinking?) and I see that some pies have a weird cross-crossy pattern in the top. ...At the moment I have a big thing for apple pie, I have tried to give them a wide berth but there was a pot of cream sat in the fridge just longing to be poured over golden pastry and sweet gooey apple and who am I to deprive it of that pleasure? I actually feel quite guilty now having got that pot of cream all excited at the prospect of apple pie, I just hope it wasn't as dissappointed as I was. I bought my pie from Tesco, it looked nice enough in the box. The box is and deep bramley apple colour box with a plastic film on the top so you can see the pie inside, there is also a picture of a slice of rather yummy looking pie. These pies are freshly baked instore, so it says on the box anyway! On opening the box and sliding the pie out I was instantly disappointed, it just seemed a little flat somehow. ...If I told you I'd just bought a pack of six individual apple pies for 37p, what would your initial thoughts be? If you're very slightly greedy, as I am, then your thoughts probably won't go any further than the simple 'apple pie to share'. However, the more cost conscious amongst us might take note of that 37p. I mean, that isn't a whole lot of money to pay for six apple pies, is it? Mr Kipling sells his apple pies for £1.03 for six in my local asda, so how can these be so cheap? Well, I'm guessing here, but I'd imagine that Asda have cut corners wherever possible, when producing their Smart Price Apple Pies. For example, these apple pies are sat on your bog-standard six slot plastic cake case, each encased in its own little metal cup, then all six sealed into one plastic bag which proclaims 'Asda Smart Price 6 Apple Pies on the front... ...Time was when a mince pie was simply a dollop of mincemeat encased in a pale pastry case, simple as that. You knew where you were and what you would receive if you went into a coffee shop or tea house and asked for a mince pie to accompany your hot drink. Nowadays if you set out to buy this little yuletide treat you are faced with a bewildering array of mince pies in all shapes, sizes and styles. You can have them in puff pastry, choux pastry and shortcrust pastry. You can have them covered in chocolate (Yuk!) you can have them with Viennese style cake on top, you can even have them with fresh cream oozing out of every hole. The mincemeat has had virtually every alcoholic drink available added to it with very little effect to the taste but plenty of effect to the price. ...In search of the very quick, very tasty snack I was impressed to see Freshbake’s new range of pies that cook in the microwave. Upon one of my weekly trips to Sainsbury’s I spied them and picked up a couple. I realise that the pie and the microwave are not normally a good combination, but knowing the speed of science developments I thought ”What the heck” and picked up my two pies (my wife is always a second taster) I chose the minced beef and onion variety, although I could have opted for either: Chicken and vegetable or steak and vegetable. Whatever you pick you’ll pay a price of around 69p for each one – they are individual pies and not multi pack. Arriving home I placed the pies at the bottom of my (at the time) rather well stocked freezer. Time wore on and the freezer begun to empty... Read review

...I love apple pie, there is something so comforting and wholesome about the flavour. It can conjure up memories of family picnics, afternoon teas or Sunday lunch at Grandma’s. I was delighted to spot the new re-vamped Apple Pies by the oh so talented Mr Kipling the other day and had no hesitation in allowing them to hitch a ride in my shopping trolley. When I say revamped I should add that it this is mainly down to the packaging and presentation of the little pies. Having said this these changes are quite impressive and worthy of mention. The New Packaging The pies now are now individually wrapped which ensures each pie's freshness for longer.
