It boasts on the front cover: that it is: "The biggest and best science Fiction Anthology Ever Published". And there, as they say, is the rub. Is it? Although I acknowledge that there are a great many good science fiction stories in this anthology, I would have to argue against it being the best. And as for the biggest? Well, Asimov's Before the Golden Age (volumes 1 to 4) is a worthy contender for this title, I would have thought. And the best? It cannot be. Why? Because as Hartwell states in the introduction: "I would like to acknowledge the significant presence of John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. George Michael - Twenty Five - A Masterpiece!!

Advantages: Great songs, lots of choice, two albums.
Disadvantages: Doesn't include one of my favourite ever songs.

...I received this as a present Christmas 2008 from my fiance and was really surprised with his choice of gift as although he knew I like George Michael I hadn't mentioned it or dropped any hints for it so was very pleasantly surprised. Anyway, on with the review, I have tried to provide background history, chart information, my personal review of each of the songs and a rating out of 5. Twenty something..Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella

Advantages: Fantastic read that had me absorbed
Disadvantages: Only when I ran out of pages!

...Now I don't normally write reviews on books so bare with me! I am a big fan of Sophie Kinsella, especially her creation of Becky Bloomwood and the Shopaholic books. I read most of the shopaholic series first so when her book Can You Keep A Secret? came out in between the shopaholic titles I was really looking forward to reading it. I was quite disappointed though and simply couldn't get into it. When Kinsella wrote other books that didn't feature my favourite spending queen Becky I was wary of wanting to read them, fearing I would be disappointed again (Remember Me? and The Undomestic Goddess)..I wasn't - and thoroughly enjoyed both books, so when I read that there was a new book out by Kinsella I was eager to read it. Makes Science Fun

Advantages: Makes Science fun and interesting, lots of stuff to do.
Disadvantages: None

...Don't you just hate it when your children ask you a question and you don't know the answer? With me, it used to be the Science questions that stumped me a lot of times. I'd been a decent student in school, but I couldn't remember enough sometimes to answer questions. I'd have to pore over books to find the information when my kids were little. With my grandkids, it is so much easier - and this CD-Rom is one of the reasons why. It is aimed at the 5-9 age group. You know, the one with all the "why?" questions about all manner of things going on around them. Younger ones will enjoy the fact that the screens are narrated as they open, and are brightly illustrated. Older ones will have fun with the quizzes - all done with Key Stages 1 and 2 of the curriculum in mind. There are sections on Simple Machines, Space, Electricity...

Weird science

Advantages: some good humour and entertainment

...and long-long legs, giving every red blooded male a longing to watch the movie till the very end, ignoring the fact that there are better movies out there? Don't get me wrong, the actual movie is quite a good comedy, in a strange sort of way, and is probably every teenagers dream come true, creating your own personal woman from your bedroom? I did in fact enjoy watching it when it first came out, but I didn't feel the same when I saw it a few months ago, (maybe I've simply grown up). Would I recommend this?.?
