The Old Tango Ad (1999)
Review of Tango [TV Advertisement] by
marvello
Advantages: Funny Advert
Disadvantages: May Offend some
.... In the first of their adverts they had the Tango man running up to a stranger in the street and slapping him on both cheeks. This had an unexpected effect on the public as children took the advert as an example and slapped their own friends and family. Because of the effect that the adverts were having there were many complaints made to the Advertising Standards Authority and the advert was banned from television. The advertisers for "Orange Tango" then changed the advert and instead of the Tango man slapping the stranger he kissed him.
The effect that the advert had on the public was good for the "Tango" company in two ways. Firstly, they got to bring the element of surprise and unpredictability into the adverts, and it also showed that the public did actually take notice of the advert, so if they were remembering the events which took place...

Someones been Tangoed
Review of Tango Orange Soft Drink by
magicloudz
Advantages: Partially made with real oranges
Disadvantages: Can’t get it everywhere
...Menacing its way from the shelf is the predominantly black plastic bottle of Tango. The £1.19 label on the two litre size instantly attracts my attention, since most similar drinks of this volume are priced around the £1.50 mark.
So what is Tango? It is a carbonated fruit drink, in this instance in its orange variety. It even has 8% real orange fruit inside, representing a vitamin C intake for everyone participating in the consumption of a bottle.
Now maybe it’s just me, but Tango seems to have a very Nineties feel to it. Ever since the “you know when you’ve been Tangoed” adverts, and the subsequent success, this drink has appeared to diminish in quantities on the shelves. The resurgence of Fanta seems to have hit Tango hard, affecting sales, and now it is not often I have the chance to buy this. Old skool...

It takes THREE to Tango
Review of Three To Tango (Wide Screen) by
brianlfc
Advantages: Some very good comedy performances, Good storyline
Disadvantages: I guess it's all been done before.
...Hmm, very strange, I always thought the saying was, "It takes TWO to Tango", oh well never mind, here goes, folks!
Three to Tango is a pretty funny and enjoyable Romantic Comedy, to which most people will enjoy; it stars the hilariously funny Mathew Perry (Chandler, off Friends) and the love interest, played by Neve Campbell (of Scream 1, 2, and 3 and The Craft, fame).
The story centres around Oscar Novak (Mathew Perry) and his architecture partner Peter Steinberg (played by Oliver Platt), to whom are attempting to land a big $90 million contract, to restore a building, they have stiff competition from another firm (Strauss and Decker), to whom have by far superior technology and ideas.
Anyway, during the interview with the rich businessman Charles Newman (played by Dylan McDermott) to whom will be funding the project...

Feed the Tango Inside
Review of Tango Apple by
Crimsonflame
Advantages: Great with a meal ; Crisp/Sharp taste
Disadvantages: Not overly refreshing on it's own ; Aftertaste
...After recently paying a visit to my local superstore for a couple of multipacks of sprite to my horror they were sold out. The only thing left after what seemed to be a local demand for fizzy pop to help refresh against this hot weather, was apple tango. Now as far as fizzy pop goes i particularly disliked apple tango, basically due to a friend being allergic to caffeine and he always used to have this and only this to drink. Although initially not a bad alternative to the best pop drinks Coca-Cola and Sprite , Tango is a bit more diverse in it's alternative form offering various different flavours to choose from.
Tango is a drink I myself grew up with, one of most highly publicised soft drinks on the market during the mid to late 90's. There are four initial flavours to choose from at the moment: Cherry, Apple, Tropical...

Ciao Gets Tango'd
Review of Tango Orange Soft Drink by
Nathan_Innit
Advantages: Better than Fanta
Disadvantages: Think of your teeth
...You know when you've been tango'd. Lets face it, it's probably one of the most well known ad campaigns in recent memory, and Tango is a brand I love that stands well up against lets be true here - the GIANTS that are Coca Cola. I wouldn't be surprised if Tango have been given the opportunity to sell out on more than one occassion, but stay true to what they love, and that is fizzy drinks. This review in particular is for the orange flavoured Tango drink, so let it commence.
For the purposes of this review I've got a 1.5 litre bottle of Tango Orange, although as you would expect it comes in all different shapes and sizes. My mum was just up KFC yesterday and decided to purchase it, they must have sold it to her with some special deal, and I was lucky enough to find that reviews were needed for the product. The bottle is quite long...

You Know When You've Been Tango'd
Review of Tango [TV Advertisement] by
thespurs
Advantages: Hillarious, Raises brand awareness
Disadvantages: None
...--Introduction--
As many of you should know, Tango is a very popular brand of carbonated drinks. They produce a number flavours including: the original orange and apple flavours as well as new flavours fruit fling, tropical and cherry. All of the flavours also come in the diet variety, for those who think that diet fizzy drinks are good for you. The brand ‘Tango’ is part of the Britvic drinks group. They also own brands such as Pepsi, Robinsons and J2O. The company has been running a series of adverts of late, to promote their orange and apple Tango flavours. They are probably among the most hilarious adverts on the television at the moment. I will explore in detail the different adverts that I have seen, within this review.
--Ideology--
The Tango brand has been in need of something of a revamp and also to try and generate...

Tango, my favourite drink after cider
Review of Tango Orange Soft Drink by
fannloi
Advantages: a marvellous taste
Disadvantages: I don't have any more
...Some years ago, my brother told me about a wonderful product that he had found during his travel to england. This was a very nice drink : Tango.
As there's no general categories for Tango, I've decided to write my advice there.
Tango has different tastes, and today, I'll write about Tango blackcurrant, Tango orange and Tango apple. All those products are soft drinks.
TANGO BLACKCURRANT is my favourite
First, you have to pay attention because it contains a source of phenylalanine. There's only 5% of blackcurrant juice, with sugar, carbonated water, citric acid, flavourings, sweeteners, preservative and colours.
Well, there are lots of bad things, but this is irresistible. I've never found such a good taste since I came back France.
TANGO ORANGE
As for tango blackcurrant, there's a source of phenylalanine...

I've been Tango'ed,and it didn't hurt a bit.
Review of Tango Orange Soft Drink by
MandyMinx
Advantages: Strong container.
Disadvantages: The taste of sweetners is overpowering.
...Yippee....!!! I've been tango'ed and what a more fitting way to celebrate this momentous occasion than by writing an op on the legendary drink itself.
I am sure you are aware of the contraversial advertizing campaign that brought Tango to the tip of everyone's tongues...Who can forget that bright orange guy in the rather large orange nappy running around the streets slapping unsuspecting tango drinkers around the face.
Of course there was an uproar as hundreds of mothers started hiding in ther houses as irate parents banged on the door to complain that little Jimmy had just Tango'ed the girl next door. From this they went on to the next campaign...Still the orange man, but this time he planted a smacking great kiss on the mouth of unsuspecting tango drinkers. Great advertising campaigns that made Tango a household name.
It seems...

Tan-go and get a can.
Review of Tango Orange Sparkling Drink, Diet by
Tribute
Advantages: Orangey
Disadvantages: bits in drink.
...Following my last opinion on a drink getting a good reception, I have decided to do yet another one. This time it is the orange flavour drink, Tango.
Tango is, and always has been one of my favourite drinks. Well that wasn’t hard to do. A few years, or even months ago, all you needed to do to get me to buy a drink was have a picture of an orange on it. Since Fanta Fruit Twist has come out my whole drink thinking has turned around.
Tango is made by Britvic (you know, the people who rip you off in mini bars in your hotel, charging you about £1:50 for a drink.) and if you have any problems with the product you can contact them at:
Britvic Soft Drinks LTD.,
Chelmsford,
England
Or you can visit their web page at www.tango.com
The drink is packaged in a plain black can with burst of orange on it and the black and white tango sign...
