...I have a niece that’s nearly two years old which is an age that you have to be very security conscious. If you don’t take extra measures on stairs etc they can really hurt themselves. It was only until a little baby girl fell down the stairs and hurt herself that my sister went shopping for extra security around the house. The first thing she bought was a Lindem Two way safety gate which will prevent any accidents on the stairs. My niece loves going up the stairs but she can easily fall down if she loses her balance. Although, my sister takes great care to make sure she is never left unsupervised. When doors are left open she has found herself on the stairs-which is extremely dangerous. ...I bought two Lindam Alarmed Safety gates from Boots online at £24.99. Check their site regularly as they often have offers for free delivery or extra Advantage card points on baby items. The gates arrived well packaged and with easy to follow instructions. FIXING IT TO THE WALL These gates can be fixed to the wall by adjusting the four pressure "bars" they come with. Lindam's advice - for extra safety - is to secure the two top pressure points to the wall by using screws (included in the package). Personally I have only used these screws for the gate at the top of the stairs for extra safety as, once fitted, the gate is pretty sturdy. ...We had to buy two of these for our house as I have started the process of becoming a childminder so I can stay at home with my daughter we bought two one for the kitchen and one for the access on to the built-in veranda which I didn't want my daughter to go into as the cat stays through there. These gates are simple to look at not fancy bits as you get the dearer ones that do exactly the same job but look all facy and with added bits which I just wanted simple looking ones to go with our house. The gates are white and once mounted stand about 79cm in height and extend from 62 to 102cm which I was not sure how wide our doors were so I thought better to go with this one as the other one dont really entend just adjust for fitting. Advantages: An Ealing Comedy and a good laugh!

...After the interest shown in my recent review of You Rang M'Lord I thought that I would tell you about a real golden oldie! The film in question is an Ealing Comedy from 1960 called Two Way Stretch starring Peter Sellers and directed by Robert Day. It is 83 minutes of black and white heaven! Peter Sellers plays Dodger Lane a old lag with a cushy set up in prison sharing his cell with his friends Lennie (The Dip) Price played by Bernard Cribbins and Jelly Knight played by David Lodge. They all have a good little number going doing the least work for the highest rewards and the Prison Officers are happy enough to turn a blind eye. The Governor, played by Maurice Denham, lets them get away with pretty much anything as he believes that they will all turn out to be good honest citizens in the end. All is well until Dodger gets... These show the lighter side of Rufus' piano playing. Nice bonus but nothing outstanding 7/10 Good Points about the album This album evidences a man on top form. Although I am a big fan I find the albums pre-Want to be very inconsistent, with many songs much better than others. Here there is more of a level playing field. I always think that the best albums are ones that flow all the way through to feel like one big piece of music that has been really well thought out. ...A safety gate is a must for every parent unless you have a padded playroom for your little angel ,and there is an ever increasing choice on the market. We didn't originally set out to buy this particular safety gate but the other one was out of stock and I'm sure glad it was. The lindam gate is simplicity in itself as far a safety gates go but thats what gives it its charm...The gate handle is easy to use you just squeeze and voila its open ,its so easy you won't have any problem while carrying a child. Its also at a nice hight so you don't have to stoop down to open it. It has an anti-pinch hinge so your child won't hurt there fingers if there hand is on the gate while its being opened or closed. And of course its two way opening which is very handy indead but if you prefer you can have it opening just one way the choice... Read review
