Two Worlds.....it's big enough
Review of Two Worlds (Xbox 360) by
tayloa22
Advantages: Really well thought out role playing game
Disadvantages: None, it's an improvement on other rpg's
...Ω INTRODUCTION Ω
TWO WORLDS, is made by Top Ware, and is an awesome RPG {Role Playing Game} set in a great fantasy universe. It is set in a time where the once fragile peace between man and Orc's has been shattered and carnage is resumed. You play a mighty mercenary for hire. This is what you do in the game as a sideline to the main storyline quest, which is to find your sister. After her village was attacked and destroyed, your sister disappears. At the games start you are approached by strangers that want you to do their bidding, and if you don't you will never see your sister again……..
Ω THE WORLD OF TWO WORLDS Ω
Two Worlds is played in the third person perspective. One advantage of this factor is that whenever you equip him with a new piece of armour...

Two Worlds
Review of Two Worlds (Xbox 360) by
MattayBoy
Advantages: A large world, they had good intentions
Disadvantages: Where do I begin.... Jerky, jittery gameplay, Complicated menues, sparse world, pointless quests, storyline is appalling
...Marketed as a rival to the mighty Oblivion, Two Worlds had really set its expectations high. The screenshots looked tasty, the movies looked promising, and my hopes were high.
However just 5 minutes after loading the disc into my Xbox for the 1st time, disappointment started to sink in. Frame rate issues were apparent straight away, with the character jerking around uncontrollably, the game just stops often enough and freezes for over 20 seconds at a time to suddenly catch up with itself.
The spell system of stacking cards is complicated, the inventory menus are complicated and impossible to read most of the time. The game mechanics are way too complicated for such a simple world.
Most of the cities are identical, the world outside them is sparsely populated, sparsely decorated. There is very little interactivity and the quests...

Two Worlds - Xbox 360
Review of Two Worlds (Xbox 360) by
tidus666
Advantages: Good for making a Coaster
Disadvantages: See Above
...Where do I start with this game, preferably at the end of it.
This game was beyond terrible if I was on fire and it was the only thing in the room I still wouldn't pick it up again to smack out the flames.
Graphics are terrible the sound is awful and the fighting control is totally unresponsive. Your probably better hitting yourself for being daft enough to buy this game (I know I kicked myself about it).
The acting is awful and I would like to tell you about the story lin but I didn't have a clue what it was going on about.
The only thing I can say is BUY OBLIVION instead it will not let you down as Two Worlds will I every respect.
Two Worlds more like Third World it was that poor, don't do it guys it's not worth it....

Between Two Worlds
Review of Between Two Worlds - I by
GeoffRocker
Advantages: New melodic style, interesting ideas
Disadvantages: Doesn't go very far with those ideas
...know, I always have a go at albums for fading their last track but it is the lesser of two evils when compared to 'Cursed Are We'. It would have been even better to end with 'Bridges Of Fire', but can you have a last song that lasts seven and a half minutes?
Anyhow, yes, I... worth a listen if:
You're an Immortal fan and aren't going to be put off by more melodic (mature?) songwriting,
You're a Candlemass fan and aren't adverse to a bit more shouting,
You're into Doom, Gothic or Black Metal and haven't heard of any of these bands.
I wouldn't bother though if you already own a copy of 'The Storm I Ride', it's easily the best, most original song on the album and most other tracks are variations on a theme. It'll be interesting to see where they go next!...

World War Two in Colour, Face to Face
Review of World War II In Colour - Face To Face DVD by
Martinscholes
Advantages: Well put together programme
Disadvantages: Featured only American troops
...World War Two In Colour Face to Face is a truly remarkable documentary film. It consists of rare colour film footage, shot during the evil and desperate days that made up the Second World War.
The film was, in the main, all shot by film cameramen who were military personnel. Who genuinely braved the same hardships and difficulties that beset their military colleagues, compatriots and fellow combatants.
As the commentary on the DVD points out, the vast majority of people involved in the Second World War (the notes actually use the term "men") never had any experience of combat whatsoever. The figure quoted on the notes claim that as many as five out of six did not experience any combat, at all. I must admit that I found that figure rather surprising. These people provided the support services that kept the so-called war machine...

A (Two) Towering Inferno
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers DVD by
steerpyke
Advantages: more epic adventure from Jackson
Disadvantages: a slower and dark film than the first
...The second film in Peter Jackson's vision of bringing Tolkien's epic story to the screen is the real test for the viewer. After a light beginning and an easy storyline, the saga fractures into three separate interwoven tales, is slower going and the dark shadows of a world shattering war begin to hang over the land. It is the heaviest part of the tale in many ways but is only a reflection of the book. Any good story requires a beginning, middle and an end, and that is the simplest way to look at the three films. Fellowship of the Ring sets up the overall themes and introduces the characters. The Return of The King is the epic finale, heroes are made, dramatic victories are achieved and like all good tales everyone gets their just desserts. The Two Towers is the vehicle between the two. That may be doing it a disservice as it is, in | | |
