The Awesome Techwood TWP 4210.
Review of Techwood TWP4210 by
Adam11
Advantages: Large Screen, wall bracket, big high resloution screen
Disadvantages: sometimes bad picture on scart
...The Techwood TWP 4210 is a truly awesome television.
i have been a owner of techwood tv's for a long time and i have to say that this i sone of the best that i have ever had.
The television comes with; obviously, a television, a wall bracket, two stand up speakers, a sort of control box thingy, a few wires and a remote controL WITH BATTERIES.
i will set out some of the advantages and dis-advantages of the television below.
Advantages.
The screen is very clear and displays a variety of resolutions. the screen quality is very good. it also comes with a ver good wall bracket, so that you don't waste too much of your precious floor space. the speakers that it comes with are very good quality, to me it looks like six/eight speakers mounted in two sort or stand up holders. it is very easy to install into your house, it took me...

Binatone Vantage 4210
Review of Binatone Vantage 4210 by
acrossthepond
Advantages: see my first review of the telephone
Disadvantages: see my first review of the telephone
...Although you can no longer buy the Bonatone Vantage 4210 you can track down used handsets and base units from places like eBay and Amazon. I have had my 4210 for over 18 months and it still looks, feels and performs like it did the day my purchase arrived. Even if it died and refused to work ever again, 18 months use for £30 is nothing to turn your nose up about. The thing is, I can't see my 4210 ever starting to look outdated and if it gives me a further 6 months of hassle free performance I may well break out into song as I really didn't expect much prior to buying it. I think Binatone, I think of the first cordless telephones that looked awful and tacky.
What sets the 4210 aside from its nasty predesessor is the fact that it is near on identical to a Siemens cell phone I owned about 3 years ago and still brings back memories...

Point and Click - this does the trick
Review of Kodak EASYSHARE CX4210 by
sunnyfox
Advantages: Good quality pix for your money
Disadvantages: My firewall didn't like the software updater
...I went into Comet to buy a replacement video, and came out with a digital camera - don’t ask me how that happened! Anyway, the camera I bought was the Kodak Easyshare CX4210. My decision was based on price - it was the cheapest one in the cabinet with a tag of £99.99, but it got even cheaper when the sales assistant discovered it was the last one in the shop and they wouldn’t be restocking - £89.99!
The camera comes with 2 ‘AA’ Kodak digital camera batteries, a USB cable for downloading photos to your computer, a video out cable for viewing photos on your TV, a wrist strap and a ‘custom camera insert’ for use with optional Kodak Easyshare camera docks (which I didn’t buy, but is for one touch picture transfer and battery charging). Also included in the box is an easy to use quick start guide, and 2 CD-roms - Kodak easy share...

Good budget player
Review of LG DVD 4210 by
rasimmonds
Advantages: Price, Ease of use
Disadvantages: Doesn't play DVD-Rs
...I have recently bought the LG 4210 DVD player and although cannot yet write about reliability over a period of time, I thought I'd let you know my initial impressions.
Firstly, I bought it in October 2001 from Comet for £159, which included 3 DVDs (Big Daddy, The Sixth Day and Hollow Man). Although it came with a scart lead to connect to your TV, I was advised to buy a better quality gold scart lead with more connectors- apparently giving better quality although I haven't checked that).
Anyway, the basic specs of the machine are:
Plays DVDs and audio CDs (it doesn't play VCDs (video disks which aren't really sold in this country but are big in Japan). It also doesn't play CDRs or DVD-Rs - these are disks which have been made usually by people at home although some small businesses produce them (e.g. I have seen a company that can...

It comes with batteries.
Review of LG DVD 4210 by
flabbercabbage
Advantages: Cheap includes twenty movies
Disadvantages: not multi regional
...In true Christmas tradition I was in Tesco on Christmas Eve doing some first and last minute shopping. Essentials were already in the trolley: wine, whisky, vodka, gin, fizzy stuff and some orange juice for the Bucks Fizz.
Time to look round the boring bits of the store, endeavour can be rewarded and it was in this case because I came across an LG 4210 DVD player complete with twenty movies for the cost of £199.99. Who could be worthy of such a gift in such a large box, (always the most exciting to open!)? Why me of course.
Time to rush home rip open the box throw away the 40-page manual and set the machine up, (is this a man thing?) The DVD player is a sleek silver model weighing 3 kgs measuring approximately 43 cms by 15 cms by 7.5 cms the actual dimensions may be in the manual but I don’t know where this is. The player can...

Reasonably good camera.
Review of Kodak EASYSHARE CX4210 by
grahammclaughlin
Advantages: Nice camera with plenty of features.
Disadvantages: Problems with batteries
...I got the Kodak cx4210 for my christmas and I was really impressed as I took it out of the box and saw its sleek and functional design for the first time. All of the buttons were conveniently placed on the body of the camera, (just under your thumb), and the lcd screen was a definate pro. The interface that you access using the lcd screen was functional and easy to use. The review mode is convenient but it is hard to get the full impact of your photos when viewing them on a 2" display. The picture quality was excellent in relation to the price of the camera.
The only problem I have with the camera is the batteries it uses. The 2 AA batteries supplied with the camera worked fine and powered it for several hours but when I replaced them they only lasted 5 minutes. Since then I have also purchased a Kodak Easyshare camera dock...

Has To Be The Best Phone Binatone Have Made!
Review of Binatone Vantage 4210 by
Starseeker1
Advantages: Looks Cool - It is like having the use of 2 phones - Base Speakerphone
Disadvantages: No Speakerphone on the Handset itself
...Recently, my cordless telephone broke down, leaving me know option but to replace it. However, I was not going to run out and buy the first phone I saw, Oh No! so I decided to use my standin phone for a short time, until I found the phone that most appealed to me; which I must add didn't take very long. I went into Argos to to buy something, when I came accross one of their offer flyers. I took the flyer home, and had a good look through it, and that was when I came accross the Binatone Vantage 4210 telephone. It looked fantastic, and I just hoped that the quality of the phone would be a good as its looks. Anyway I decided to purchase it at a very reasonable price of £34.95.
I took home the phone and on looking at the workmanship of the phone, it looked great. It has a comfortable feel in the hand, and looks really modern too...

Blood, Sex and Gore
Review of Channel 5 - C.S.I by
MonkeyMoo
Advantages: Fantastic, entertaining, loads of tip top blokes
Disadvantages: hmmm, none - except the crapness that it spawned (CSI: Miami)
...extremely confusing – but it isn’t I promise – unfortunately without recapping an entire episode (see TWP.com!) it is difficult to bring alive the wit, intelligence and fascination of the programme.
Perhaps it will help to introduce the main characters to you:
Gil Grissom (William Peterson) is the head honcho. Frighteningly intelligent, a social retard – definitely a loner – and basically seems to know everything about everything – I’d say he has a really good search engine but I can’t imagine him stooping so low as to use a computer. His mother was deaf and it would seem that was a genetic defect as the makers cleverly detail how he is losing his hearing too using camera moves and POV sound muffling – but he is an expert lip reader (why doesn’t that surprise me!) so mainly gets...

Review of The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain DVD by
wulise
Advantages: The feel good factor and lovely scenery.
Disadvantages: Some of the humour!
...develop a romantic relationship. At time it is more like a Mills and Boon story, ending in an engagement.
There are many outside shots of the mountains and sunsets. The countryside is picturesque. The storm scene, with the array of lightning is one of the most memorable in the whole film. The sunsets are beautiful.
The film is good, if not entirely memorable but featuring some excellent bit actors. (Look out for Johnny Shell-shocked, Thomas Twp and Thomas Twp Too!). It is a romantic comedy about Welsh villagers, whom when they had set their heart on a goal, achieve it. The Celtic music is inspiring and helps to balance the film. As to the story, adapted not too far from original-for this story of Ffynnon Garw is true.
I enjoyed it. It is a classic feel good film, but set in the early part of the last century. It is an ideal film...

Review of Honda Prelude 2.3i by
mister_e_74
Advantages: Looks, Non-existent depreciation, Handling, Reliability
Disadvantages: Cramped in rear, Honda servicing expensive
...possible. Not that I bought this car as a people carrier!
Safety... this was one of the first 4th gens so no airbag, but ABS is standard on all preludes.
Equipment. ABS. Electric windows, mirrors and sunroof. Aircon.
Reliabilty... it's a Honda! Over 12 years old I hear you say? ... it's a Honda! Only garage fee so far was for £42.10. This was for it's MOT. It passed first time. Say no more.
Costs. It needs servicing like any other car... 6K half, 12K full... Honda servicing is expensive, but comprehensive. There are more and more ex-franchise honda specialists out there so worth looking out for one if you want to watch your pennies. With full history, this car will keep most of its value as depreciation is virtually non-existent. Fuel costs are reasonable considering, although floor-it-and-pay. Mine returns over 300 miles...
