Advantages: everything! cheap reliable, fantastic features Disadvantages: no spare stylus or screen protectors in box
...I got my new Palm TX in August this year and I have been very impressed with its performance and flexibility. I previously owned a Palm Tungsten E which screen was 320 x 320 resolution and had no Bluetooth or Wi-fi, so these 2 features are great additions for me.
For those who have never used a PDA they are all touch screen and most have handwriting recognition to save having a keyboard and in Palm handhelds this is called Graffiti and is very handy when writing as you can just write as you normally would.
The Screen size of the TX is 320 x 460 so videos can be viewed in landscape and portrait modes, so effectively can be in widescreen. The video quality is very impressive and I would highly recommend in investing in a 2GB SD card for those long journeys.
The new palm desktop software is similar to the previous but has a much easier...

Review of Palm TX
Advantages: Stable, excellent OS; masses of free software available; still the top dog. Disadvantages: None.
...The Palm TX has been around for a while now and so you may find it a little odd that I'm writing a review of it.
More odd is the fact that the TX is still sold new, years after it first came out.
The reason? As a PDA, it has yet to be surpassed.
Not only is it extremely easy to use and connects to open wifi hotspots with ease, it also has a massive collection of free software available online - from games to productivity, from connectivity to health and wellbeing. It comes bundled with an excellent browser (Blazer) but you can also run Opera and some other browsers on it too. The email software is also more than adequate.
It is also a top multimedia player and when used in conjunction with the right software, can happily display streaming tv and, if you connect it up to a stereo, makes a handy internet radio.
If you are...

Review of Palm TX
Advantages: Speed, versatility, capability, and ease of use! Disadvantages: Doesn't play well with Vista (then again what does?)
...5 Reasons I think the Palm T/X is a great find.
I began my PDA journey with the Handspring Visor , outgrew it and moved on to Handspring Visor Deluxe; bought most of the springboard modules, fax/modem, camera, memory, keyboard, etc and finally sold it and turned to the (all in one) Sony Clie NR70V (which I subsequently over worked and burned out). Thus began my 2 year search for a better PDA. I don't know why it took me so long to come back to the originator of the PDA, but I choose the Palm T/X, for five reasons.
#1. It's a Palm! One of the ONLY businesses that's still in the business of making and supporting PDA's. I have nothing against the Blackberry, Treo, I-Phone or others, but it's comforting to know that the product I bought is backed by the same business that started it. (what happened to Handspring, the Sony Clie' line...

Review of Palm TX
Advantages: Great looks, large hard drive and impressive speakers Disadvantages: Runs very hot, low build quality in places.
... Hp Pavillion tx2100
Introduction
Why did I buy this laptop? I?m heavily in to photography and wanted a laptop that looked good, could store a huge number of pictures and was of a small, convenient size. With this in mind, I bought the Tx2100, dubbed an ?entertainment pc? by Hewlett Packard. In the box came the laptop, charger, an extra high capacity battery, a complimentary sleeve and remote control, along with a variety of instruction manuals, warranty information and the usual amount of unnecessary packaging.
Specs
This laptop was of quite a high spec when I purchased it around 9 months ago, those specs (copied from HP?s website) being:
Processor type tx2150ee: AMD Turion? 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60
? , Level 2 cache 512 KB + 512 KB, Up to 1600 MHz system bus running at AC/DC mode 35 Watt
tx2170ee: AMD...
Advantages: Size, price, quality of sound Disadvantages: Space, its big but it wont take your whole harddrive.., headphones arent amazing
...apart, and I really wasnt impressed with the sound quality I was getting through the mp3 player.
I asked for refund, and then went back to my first instincts and bought the muvo tx 256 mb. Immedialty I was impressed with the build quality. It came with a belt clip headphones ( that I would reccomend you get a new decent pair, as they are realitvely poor, but that is not a major problem) and a change of cover, aswell as the software to install. Installation on that subject was very easy and simple, as it is usb, you can start using it straight away in XP without installing the drivers, it just works as a removeable drive.
The player itself is very stylish, and tiny, it has a lcd screen that tells you which song is playing which is very hand. This screen is lit, so you can even see it in the dark ! Once the music files have been put...
...I was looking around for an LCD which unlike others would look cute in my lounge room and which would not take too much space.Thats when i happened to stumble upon the Panasonic TX-32LXD80 .If you are in for a budget TV which doesn't take up most of your lounge wall, this 32-inch LCD from panasonic is an ideal buy for you. Its resolution stretches only as far as 720p, but its alpha panel provides a wide viewing angle.
Moving on to the positives:
even though the Panasonic TX-32LXD80 has a lower resolution. the out put from sky HD looks wonderfully crisp and clean.Panasonic's V-Real 3 picture processing helps the TV to produce smooth motion and really vivid-looking colors. The TV also supports movie playback from Blu-ray.
It also does a good job of dealing with standard definition video.Another advantage,i would say, is that the TV...
Advantages: Great support for Windows 7 and Multitouch functionality. Disadvantages: A little pricey in comparrison to standard machines.
...As a developer interested in writing multi touch applications for Windows using Windows Presenetation Foundation and Silverlight I was keen to explore the touch capabilities of this laptop which I boiught shortly after its' release. At first the multitouch support was poor, (and was even worse under early beta versions of Windows 7). However, the drivers have improved beyond measure and I now run the machine under Windows 7 (64bit release candidate) and use it as my primary development platform for both Silverlight (2/3) and WPF development.
The laptop functions on a number of different levels: 1. As a standard laptop (it performs admirably). 2. As a Tablet PC (its' stylus/pen is excellent allowing you to rest your hand on the screen as you write - which feels intuitive and comfortable). 3. As a Multi-Touch device (the TX2...

Review of HP TouchSmart tx2
Advantages: Modernized for communications Disadvantages: Steps backward for user-friendliness
...A step backward from the Tungsten T, my previous palm. The T/X has not moved forward, design-wise. And cut some useful features. No charge-indicator LED. Screen less responsive. It seems like its forever resetting itself, losing a number of settings along the way. Bottom of screen permanent virtual buttons are not user-configurable! BAD! This is not a happy camper! And this: now extra $ for cradle, which is badly designed, with insufficient place for wires in the back and a useles, wasteful full-time glow. T/X has no "back" button, like on Sony palms, that was a brilliant function for navigation. Tungsten spring-loaded stylus was lightning fast to deploy, even in hardshell case. Latter case also allowed headphones. Now T/X has done away with both possibilities. Awkward to use. And apparently a slower processor than in its immediate...

Review of Palm TX
Advantages: Cheap for a Panasonic, Brilliant colours, Great sound quality Disadvantages: Not 1080p, Deep colour not all that good
...On paper, Panasonic's Viera TX-32LXD85 has a tough job on its £650 hands. After all, it follows hot on the heels of the brand's all-singing, all-dancing, really rather excellent 32LZD85. Surely the less well-specified 32LXD85 can't make much of a mark in the wake of such an illustrious sibling?
There is, of course, a very good reason why the 32LXD85 isn't as well specified as the 32LZD85: price. For around £650, the 32LXD85 is £100-200 cheaper than its fancy-pants sibling. That's enough in itself to tempt many people towards it, provided the set's performance standards aren't too badly affected by its price-induced down-speccing.For the most part, the 32LXD85's images are a chip off the old Panasonic block. Colours, for instance, are nothing short of excellent. The ultra-vivid hues of the Bahamas sequence in Casino Royale blaze off...
Advantages: Easy to use, fast, and capable Disadvantages: No Cradle
...I have worked the TX in a busy environment. utilising the WIFI, bluetooth and email, sms and mp3 ona daily basis. I must say it is very reliable, fast and easy to use.
It is a great all round personal management tool. Slip a 1gig expansion card in it and you have plenty of room for mp3s, pdf docs, word, excel files and ebooks.
Battery life is good however extensive use of wifi does drain it somewhat quickly but i've never experienced full drain.
The media section for videos and photos is high quality and the video playback is excellent but is slow to load if you have a very very large photo library on an expansion card.
Its a shame it didn't come with a cradle (extra)...
