Top 5 Reason to chose the Palm T/X
Review of Palm T|X by
eumatthe
Advantages: Speed, versatility, capability, and ease of use!
Disadvantages: Doesn't play well with Vista (then again what does?)
...download 4.1.4e Palm T/X does not play well with Vista. I can neither cable/cradle hotsync, nor can I Bluetooth hotsync. My solution - hotsync to my desktop running XP and just download information through my SD Card and my laptop if needed. ('nuff said)
I'm also not crazy about the standard flip cover case. I think they could have done much better coming out of the box...the flip cover is pretty much worthless so I'll be investing in a better carrier soon....

Review of Creative MuVo TX 256MB 256 MB by
danny_westham
Advantages: Size, price, quality of sound
Disadvantages: Space, its big but it wont take your whole harddrive.., headphones arent amazing
...The first thing that strikes you about this product is its size, as soon as you take it out the packaging and hold it in your hand you think wow this is really tiny. Creative are world renound for their audio products, I have a number of pc speakers and sound cards from creative before and i have been very pleased, they are quality items and very realible, basically they have never let me down.
So when it came to deciding to choose which mp3 player to choose, my first instinct was to go with creative, unfortunatley due to monetary problems ( a poor student) I saw a similar looking mp3 player on special reserve by a brand i had never heard of, but at a very cheap price. So i decided to go for that one , thinking hmm they are prolly all the same and itl make no difference. But as you have guessed within a few days the thing had fallen...

Palm TX - Launched 2005 and still the top PDA
Review of Palm TX by
jmarko
Advantages: Stable, excellent OS; masses of free software available; still the top dog.
Disadvantages: None.
...are using it as a souped-up iPod replacement, you can upgrade the storage using any SD card (and they are stupidly cheap at the moment) so you should never run out of space for your music and video collection.
It runs on Palm's excellent Garnet operating system - and you're unlikely to find a more stable operating system on a pda (other than the version of Mac OSX that Apple uses on the iPhone).
Battery life is also excellent. Actually, I cannot remember it ever having run out of battery while I've been using it. It seems to be able to carry on for hours on end without blinking.
There's not really much you can say against the TX in the pda stakes. To put it bluntly, how many other items of consumer electronics that were launched in 2005 can you (a) still buy today and (b) can still hold their own against the competition? None!...

PALM TX users Review -
Review of Palm TX by
axeman1
Advantages: Easy to use, fast, and capable
Disadvantages: No Cradle
...I have worked the TX in a busy environment. utilising the WIFI, bluetooth and email, sms and mp3 ona daily basis. I must say it is very reliable, fast and easy to use.
It is a great all round personal management tool. Slip a 1gig expansion card in it and you have plenty of room for mp3s, pdf docs, word, excel files and ebooks.
Battery life is good however extensive use of wifi does drain it somewhat quickly but i've never experienced full drain.
The media section for videos and photos is high quality and the video playback is excellent but is slow to load if you have a very very large photo library on an expansion card.
Its a shame it didn't come with a cradle (extra)...

The only network card you should buy
Review of 3Com 3C905B-TX by
MikeWhalley
Advantages: Works - perfectly.
Disadvantages: Perhaps a tad expensive for the home user to fork out on
...When I decided to upgrade my home network, I knew exactly which NIC was going to choose for my machines. The 3com 3C905-TX is /the/ network card to use to ensure a quick and reliable network. Obviously the network is only as good as the cabling and the hub connecting it together. But as far as network cards go - this one is the dogs b*llocks.
I say this because as I'm in the IT industry, I've got through quite a few makes of network cards, and this make seems to be the most reliable. Many a card have I had to replace because they give up the ghost or simply wont work in the PC. I've even had cards which have caught on fire, taking the motherboard with it! Now I'm not saying that this won't happen when you use this network card - let me give that little disclaimer! ;-).
I've seen 100mbit network cards for about 7-8 quid. In most...

Fantastic Value PCI Network Card
Review of Netgear FA310TX by
mattboxsey
Advantages: Easy to configure / Support all Protocols
Disadvantages: None found so far (time will tell)
...Netgear FA310TX network cards offer the best value for money named network card.
The card is very simple to install under windows 95/98 Or NT Server and Workstation just using the enclosed driver diskette (TCP/IP, Netbui and IPX all bound to the card just fine).
The card supports 10/100 Mbps, Auto-sensing RJ-45 interface and Full or half-duplex modes.
So far compared to all of the card's that we have used on our LAN this unit has proven to be absolutely faultless (could change, but only time will tell) for £14.00 + VAT.
I have got 20+ of these cards running in a mixed OS enviroment connected either a 3COM 3300 24 Port switch, HP 10/100 Hubb or various other Hubbs doted around the office to provide connectivity.
I think the best way to summerise would be that for a medium+ network these cards work absoultely fine. (After...

This has to be the best LCD TV I have seen
Review of Panasonic Panasonic TX-32LXD700 by
fatboyslim
Advantages: Ease of use, superb picture quality, superb sound quality
Disadvantages: NONE
...I would like to begin my review by pointing out the following.
Previous to me owning the Panasonic TX-32 LXD700 I had owned for 9 days a Panasonic TH-37PX70 Plasma TV, which I returned to the shop in exchange for the Panasonic TX-32 LXD700, the reason for this was the following. I own a Play station 3, as some of you may know, Plasma TV's can suffer from image burn / image retention, this basically means that if a static image is on the screen for an amount of time, e.g. a channel logo on digital TV or a still graphic off of a games console for example a speedometer (in my case) off of a racing game, then there is a good possibility that this image will be still visibly when you start to watch TV especially on a dark scene. Prior to me purchasing the Panasonic TH-37PX70 Plasma TV I had asked the sales assistant if the Plasma TV would...

...super,a dream laptop if i ever had one.the SONY VAIO TX2HP/W is the most stylish and fully featured latop ever.i paid £1699.99 for mine 12 months ago and would pay it all again, its super slim and light allso the battery last between 7 - 8 hrs, which is just what i need none of that stuck to leads i am truely wireless all day,not like all these other laptops were your wirless for 30 mins if your lucky before the battrey is dead..thats not us tx user's its weight or lack of is so good for me as i hold it in one hand for hrs typing and then just kick back on the sofa with the tx on my chest as i surf..try that with any other laptop in the world...i dont think so not unless your a muscle bound sted head...and even then it would be hard to put up with the weight of a normal laptop.also the tx is made of carbon fibre the same stuff used...

Aiwa HS-TX486 - Fantastic Walkman
Review of Aiwa HS-TX496 by
danwilkie
Advantages: Lots of great features, very durable, good price
Disadvantages: Disadvantages? Yeah right!
...NOTE
************
For background on Walkmans in general and why you should still use them today please see my opinion on “Aiwa Walkmans in General” with the title “Walkmania – Walkmans in General”.
INTRODUCTION
**********************
A few years ago I was looking for a new Walkman as my old one, a very outdated Sony model, had broken. So where do you begin when looking for a Walkman? Well, I personally decided to look in the Argos catalogue for a bargain Walkman made by a brand I could trust. I opted for the same manufacturer as my Hi-Fi, Aiwa, and this attractive little Aiwa HS-TX486 caught my eye at a very affordable price.
PRICE
*************
I forget what the price was back then, but now after some research I can tell you that this little gem can now be bought for just £20.00, which...
