LCD is the best TV
Review of Panasonic TX26LXD1 by
Pazadov
Advantages: Picture quality is the best you'll get!
Disadvantages: Adaptor required for some memory cards during 'photo mode'
...To describe the picture quality on the Panasonic TX-26LXD1 LCD Television as amazing is an understatement. I have never seen anything like it.
In fact, the last time I remember being impressed with a TV picture quality was when I very first saw the Sony Trinitron tube, which had a sharpness and clarity never seen before on CRT television.
I originally purchased a Sony CRT (tube) widescreen TV back in January 2004 but it was faulty and had to go back. Unfortunately, they didn’t have another one in stock, so I was given a refund.
I say ‘unfortunate’ but I really should say fortunately because this made me look again at what I was buying. The sheer size of the Sony TV filled a quarter of my lounge and looked really out of place.
I started noticing LCD Televisions being advertised and on displays in shops around town...

Review of Panasonic TX-26 LMD 70 by
brereton66
Advantages: Excellent picture quality, good looks and a fair price
Disadvantages: Lower scanning rate
...TX-26LMD70
One of the benefits of undertaking a large scale kitchen refurbishment is the scope it affords for slipping in a couple of otherwise unjustifiable purchases. I mean, when you've spent that much what's a couple of hundred quid here and there (and yes, I do work in Government backed IT project management, since you ask). So it was that my wife got her ridiculously over priced Dualit toaster and I got my flat screen TV, which was lucky as I'd specifically designed in a blank wall to be its home.
So, what were we looking for. To fit in with its lovely surroundings it would have to look good, this isn't that difficult though as you'd have to pretty work hard to find a flat screen telly that doesn't look good. Picture quality is always the most important thing but also the sound output from internal speakers had...

Pause for thought and serious consideration
Review of Panasonic TX-26LMD70F by
Dragonlight
Advantages: excellent picture quality, great audio, easy to set up and use, onscreen menu, cheap
Disadvantages: there are no flaws or disadvantages to the Panasonic TX-26LMD70
...If you are in the market for a medium sized LCD television I would ask you to stop for a while, clear all thoughts that may be running through your head that price equals quality and take a closer more detailed look as I did at the Panasonic TX-26LMD70 just prior to paying £420.
The 26 inch LCD screen has a pixel resolution of 1366 x 768 and screen format of 16:9 making it on a par with the more expensive Bravia range from Sony and on a par with every other 26 inch television on the market, yet it costs significantly less even though it comes from a household name in the electrical manufacturer sector. As a comparison, for the same specifications you are looking at least at another £100-£200 if opting for a Samsung, Hitachi or Sony.
As far as picture and sound quality go there is nothing to fault at all from the Panasonic TX-26LMD...

The best tv ever?
Review of Panasonic TX-26LMD70F by
mralexcore
Advantages: Essentially everything!
Disadvantages: Haven't seen true black shown properly yet.
...annoying. The 26 inch LCD screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and screen format of 16:9 placing it firmly among all the other leading tv's with the same screen size, yet for much cheaper!
The sound is also very good and I have no complaints whatsoever with the tv's speakers. They perform exceedingly well at loud and quiet volumes.
However, there is one complaint. Sometimes, randomly it seems, it will switch back onto tv mode if you're in av. Which can be frustrating if you're playing a game and the screen goes! Though pausing the game/dvd and switching mode is easy =S
Also, whilst not technically a complaint, I must say, that these days with technology improving along with aesthetics, you'd think that panasonic, having made a really nice looking tv, would spend more than 5 minutes making a remote. True, it's amazingly easy to use...

65" HDTV Ready Rear Projection TV
Review of Mitsibishi - 65" HDTV Ready Rear Projection TV by
paul170184
Advantages: massive
Disadvantages: poor quality
...Great unit Better picture quality than the sonys and hitachis that I looked at. Only the Elite Pioneers were equal to it in performance but much higher in price. Could not be happier with it. Paired it with a Toshiba DVD 5109 and a Pioneer Elite tx26 and WOW what a blow you out of your socks system!
Got mine in December. Only problem was a slight convergence
irregularity which the defective part was replaced promptly
All who have seen this unit comment on how it does not looke like a rear projection unit. I cannot see any scan lines at all even at close distances...

Absolutely awful - never again
Review of be-direct.co.uk by
vickeroo1
Advantages: One of the cheaper sites
Disadvantages: Appalling service
...Quite possibly the worst service I have ever experienced using online retailers. I've never written a review before, but feel so strongly about my experience that I needed to get it off my chest...
After ordering a Panasonic TX-26LXD69 television at the beginning of January I got a call within a couple of days to say it was out of stock, but that I could expect it within 5-6 weeks (there was no indication on the website to say it was out of stock at the time of ordering).
This time period went by, yet it was me who had to chase BE Direct rather than them contacting me. Now they were saying they couldn't give any estimated delivery dates as Panasonic weren't giving them any dates, leaving me completely in the dark as to when I could expect to see my order.
I left it another two weeks before contacting them yet again. Around...
