...Everybody collects things, yes? Over the years I have had many a collection, some which have lasted longer than others! One which went on for a good few years was my obsession with my TY Beanie collection! My friends and I all collected the soft and cuddly beanie teddies, so it was something we could all share together, which was nice! Between us we had most, if not all of the beanies out then, and I still have a few too, which I found the other day! One of the beanies is a cat named Beani. I thought it was quite a bizarre thing to name the cat after the product, but nonetheless it was still unique to the cat! Each beanie has an unique appearance too! Naturally, Beani looks like a cat! ...TY is a company that makes a variety of beanie babies and teddies, and have been doing so for many years. They have a wide range to choose from, so there is something for everybody. One of these is Bride the Bear. Bride is called Bride for a reason - indeed, she is a bride! She is one of a few bears which symbolise weddings, the lead female role in particular. I think it's quite a cute name, but since there are a few different bears named Bride, I do think they could have been a bit more creative. ...From an early age, my friends and I were addicted to collecting TY beanies. For those of you who do not know (where have you been?), TY Beanies are a collection of little teddies in all forms of animals and teddy bears. Once you start a collection they are quite addictive. You find you are always looking for new ones and cannot stop buying them - havoc for your wallet, heaven for your collection! One of the Beanies is a fish, who goes by the name of Coral. Its such a beautiful name - I was obsessed with sea coral as a child so this is a delightful treat for me. Coral is very attractive to look at too. ...The official TY website at www.ty.com is well worth a visit, if you are a fan or a collector of the TY beanie babies, buddies, Classics, Beanie Kids or Attic Treasures. This website caters for them all, with a very useful search facility to use if you are just looking for one type of animal or range. There is also a very good facility where you can keep a list of your own personal collection, as well as printable lists of all the TY products available. You can join the website & then keep your information in the TYfolio section. The pictures are great & you can find out what it says in their hang tags, which beanie baby shares your birthday & many more features. ...Company: I think every little kid had at least one TY beanie if they were a 90s child. Its something that we used to talk about at school all the time, meeting up at each others houses each weekend after we had just spend all of that week's pocket money on the latest editions. I had quite a large collection, one of the teddies being Bonzai the chimpanzee. Bonzai: Okay so Bonzai is a chimpanzee, but I always just calle him a monkey. To be honest, I never know the difference, and he does kind of look like a cute little monkey! His fur is a deep brown colour, a lot darker than other TY monkeys (and such like!), with beige coloured paws and face. His tail is very long and thin, with a little pointy flat nose. ...The wonderful idea of Beanie Baby was founded by Ty Warner in 1993. So they havn't been around for too long. . . I can't even count the amount of hours i enjoyed playing with beanie babys. Since now i have a whole collection. They are for any age up, and are great cuddly toys, all stuffed and come with a little beanie sack in the bottom of them (via the name BEANIE Baby). Any animal and even possibly any creature you can think of will be in a Beanie Baby form in all different sizes. The prices do depend on what size teddy you buy. You can buy them from most toy and teddy stores. Or multiple shop stores, like bentalls or daniels. Oh and harrods is definitely the best place to go! They are all great. And i advise them for anyone. Good collectables aswell so don't rip the famous TY tag off once you have one. Go endulge...
