Hit by a powerful Typhoon!!!
Review of Typhoon JY009 Cylinder by
nic63
Advantages: Very powerful and great for pet hair
Disadvantages: can be a bit noisy.
...to carry it in an upright position. This is handy if you want to place it on the stairs as you're cleaning it.
The power is fantastic, you can really feel the suction. I tend to use the Turbo brush for all my carpet vacuuming as it is so efficient in getting deep down into the pile and removing that stubborn pet hair. I then change the attachment to the hard floor head to do the rest of the house - wood floors and ceramic tiles in the kitchen.
I really like the retractable cord as its another little time saver.
I like the fact it is so easy to empty, that it can be done after every clean if needed, as this will help in keeping the airflow and suction in top condition.
I am extremely happy with my Typhoon, my carpets have been given a new lease of life since I've been using it and would highly recommend it as a high quality appliance...

Marooned in Typhoon Lagoon
Review of Typhoon Lagoon by
tartlette83
Advantages: Fun, lots to do
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...The first theme park on my trip to Orlando was Typhoon Lagoon. I had last been there in about 1992 so was interested to see it again. Typhoon Lagoon is part of the Disney family and was opened in 1989. The idea behind the park is that it was created as the result of a huge storm which caused the rapids to form and the boats to be blown there from a nearby fishing village. As with everything Disney, this is another land of make believe!
LOCATION:
Typhoon Lagoon is part of the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. You can reach Disney World many ways, although we used hire car. Driving there is very simple and Walt Disney World is signposted straight off the I4 (the main road passing through Orlando). The nearest airport is Orlando International, to which many airlines fly direct from the UK. You can get shuttles from...

Make a splash at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
Review of Typhoon Lagoon by
nickjj78
Advantages: Great fun and gret rides
Disadvantages: Long queues and lack of dining facilities
...What is Typhoon lagoon?
It's one of Disney's three water parks at Walt Disney World (WDW) and in my opinion definitely the best with the best rides and the most fun theme! Legend has it that Typhoon Lagoon was formed when a typhoon hit Florida and left the water behind and has left a ship struck on top of a hill (watch it when the ship blows!!)
Getting into the park is great fun as you walk through a rain forest before you arrive in a magical tropical town (if you squint you could almost be in the Bahamas!!)
What is there to do?
There is a really good mix of activities here for all ages.
If you are feeling very brave then ride the water slides. The Humunga Kowabunga speed slides really do test the bravest adults and children and are absolutely awesome. Tip: Don't ride this straight after lunch and make sure your swim...

Typhoon Splashtastic
Review of Typhoon Lagoon by
ms19
Advantages: great fun, lots of things to do
Disadvantages: none
...Typhoon Lagoon is one of the three water parks held in the Disney Park area. The others ones are Blizzard Beach and River Country. I have to say though this was my favourite of the two.
FOOD
Around the different areas there will be somewhere for cocktails, pastries or even hot food. When I was there I went to a food stall beside the main pool which sold hotdogs, turkey legs and drinks. It wasn't very expensive and it was nice. There was nowhere to sit though, you sat on a sunbed on the beach, or chairs.
The day I went here I prayed for it to be sunny, and I was very lucky it was one of the hottest days of my holiday.
Anyway, you go into the entrance get changed and put your items into your locker. You then usually make your way into
A-Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool-this was the pool I spent most of my day in. When I...

Typhoon Lagoon Review
Review of Typhoon Lagoon by
paganini1782
Advantages: A nice variety of activities, jolly atmosphere, perfect for families, good transport (from disney resort hotels in particular), accomadates all ages!
Disadvantages: Must mind your feet in the surf pool on the rough flooring, fast food, quite expensive but average for the area, queue times
...Typhoon Lagoon, the newest and largest of the water parks in Disney, is a great theme park for a family day out. Me and my family went their last year and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Typhoon Lagoon has a good, well thoughtout layout and it is extreamley easy to find what your looking for. The park is set around the surf pool, which I believe has a set of waves every 90 seconds and is as big as 2 football fields. If you fancy it, you can now also surf in the surf pool for 2 hours for an extra charge when the park is closed.
The first main attraction when you walk through the gates is the "Castaway Creek" lazy-river style ride which runs around the perimeter of the surf pool. It took us just under an hour to do and took us through some wonderful scenery including things like caves and rivers. You basically just relax in a rubber...

Sounds Like a Typhoon in a Scrap Yard
Review of Typhoon VC9480 by
Zmugzy
Advantages: Looks stylish
Disadvantages: Noisy
...I had been looking around for a while for a new vacuum cleaner and at first had considered buying a Dyson. But I had read many reviews complaining about the reliability of Dyson vacuum cleaners (although you could say that about any vacuum cleaner these days). So I decided to check the market first and to ask myself what do I really need. The choice of vacuum cleaners out there is simply ridiculous. The amount of research and development and design that goes into the construction something you need to clean your carpet seems an incredible waist of human activity. In terms of style the cheaper ones look just as good as the more expensive and I realized that many of the more expensive models were aimed at people with large houses - and not what I required. I came across the Typhoon brand by accident and I'd never heard of it before...

Advantages: Safe for the whole family and lots to do
Disadvantages: Swimming can only be done so long
...is the star attraction and it is wonderful how they have managed to fit everything around this great idea.
There are many rides that you can go on with groups or individuals as you swing your way down the flumes to the bottom. At Typhoon lagoon you also are able to scuba dive to the coral reef as the have a filled fish coral reef within the park . There are laso attractions for the young memebrs of the family aswell which makes it a great place for the whole family....
