EURO 2008
Review of UEFA EURO 2008 (PC) by
costas1234
Advantages: Read Opp
Disadvantages: Read Opp
...This PC game is developed by Electronic Arts. It is also available on a number of console platforms such as PS3, XBOX and Wii. The setting of the game is the European Championships held this year (2008) in both Austria and Switzerland.
Installing the game is easy and takes approximately 10 minutes to fully install. I did not encounter any problems at this stage. Even when the installation process is complete the DVD needs to be kept in the computers DVD drive, otherwise the game comes to a stand still and there is an alert system saying to re insert the Disk in the drive.
Uefa Euro 2008 succeeds where other previous versions have failed.
Each team is given a rating out of 5 stars. For example England has 4.5 stars, Greece 3.5. This makes it very difficult to score against teams with higher ratings. The game allows users...

UEFA EURO O8
Review of UEFA EURO 2008 (PS3) by
randyraz2k8
Advantages: good graphics, change history matches,
Disadvantages: not much different to fifa 08
...and must try to force your way into the Euro 2008 first team andeventually captain the side by controlling that player in 'B' matches, friendlies and qualifiers.
In gameplay terms there is'nt really a lot to differentiate this from this FIFA 08, though it is a bit quicker and easier to score - which should please FIFA 08 Fans no end. And you will see players reacting badly to being substituted, mangers prowling the touch line and rain lashing down. Interactive goal celebrations is a gimmickly new feature which you control using various button and anlaogue stick combos, and they're only really worthwile for rubbing the noses of complete strangers in the dirt whenever you are playing online.
There is'nt really enough new stuff to recommend this if you already have FIFA 08, but then UEFA EURO 2008 is all about serving a purpose...

* UEFA EURO 2008, Fast cars, and Gearbox Oil...
Review of Castrol Dexron Mercon III Atf by
smudgeybabes
Advantages: Only needs doing once.
Disadvantages: Most cars don't have a sump pluf!
...an interesting fact to an otherwise boring review, let me tell you that the Land speed record, has been broken no less than 21 times by cars using Castrol lubricants. Thrust SSC, which can now be seen in the Coventry Transport Museum, used it too.
Castrol is now an official "global" sponsor to the UEFA EURO 2008. Check out the web site lads, for the "PLAYER PERFORMANCE INDEX"
You can also see the Land Speed Records and download racing screensavers and pictures. There is also information on other racing & sponsorship like WRC and Moto GP, try the Castrol rally and bike challenge, although at the time of writing, it is unavailable. (Server Application Unavailable).
Although Catrol is an oil company, they also have interests in gas and
electricity prodution, transport, and other industries like construction, earth moving vehicles...

Who will win Euro 2008?
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
lucyw88
Advantages: More football to watch
Disadvantages: Englands not in the Euro
...Well isn't June 2008 going to be a glum time for every England supporter. The adverts are flooded over the television, its like rubbing salt into an open wound. As the advert says the best cure for this is to watch the other teams that made it through, battle for the cup. Personally, pretending Euro isn't happening this year would be a better cure. However, its happening and who will lift the trophy?
Well I'll start with the teams that have made it through to Euro 2008:
Czech Republic, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey, Austria, Croatia, Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Greece Russia, Spain and Sweden.
In my opinion I would say that Spain have a good chance of lifting the cup. They have been a let down to them selves before, however with some of the top players they have now there a good chance they can go far...

Euro 2008- The end to a great few weeks
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
speedy2710
Advantages: great entertainment, huge upsets, promising final
Disadvantages: powercut during semi final
...Euro 2008 has provided many memorable moments in a thriling tournament so far.
The first round saw Portugal sweep past Turkey 2-0, while the Czech's stole a 1-0 victory over Switzerland. Group B saw Germany ease past Poland with a brace from Poland born Lukas Podolski, while Croatia sealed a 1-0 victory over Austria thanks to a Luca Modric penalty. Group C was the most eagerly anticipated with World Cup finalists Italy and France, accompanying the much fancied Holland in the group of death. It lived up to the hype with a thrilling Dutch 3-0 victory over Italy following a bore draw between France and Romania. Group D saw Spain srat off well thrashing Russia 4-1 with a brilliant David Villa hat trick, the first in the Euros since Patrick Kluivert in Euro 2000, while Sweden beat reigning champions Greece 2-0 with a sweet strike from...

Which country to lift the Euro 2008 crown?
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
Oliver-Needham
Advantages: Alot of information
Disadvantages: too long winded
...Cannavaro's absence from the competition, I feel Italy will struggle to maintain the heights they reached in 2006.
4th on the rankings is the ever dissapointing, underachieving Spain. I for one am praying for them to fizzle to nothing in a major competition once again as, should Spain prosper, England will take the miserable crown of the most underachieving nation. Don't worry Capello; we may still win something this summer.
I'm going to stick my neck on the line and go with a team out of the top 5 of Fifa rankings, albeit only by one place. 6th place Czech Republic were exciting, fast, clever and were one step away from the final of Euro 2004 - where their mixture of young talent and the experience of the likes of Jan Koller swept us off our feet. Players like the dashingly exciting Thomas Rosicky will grace 2008 with brilliant football...

Holland winning Euro 2008
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
wakeham1
Advantages: outlines Holland's strengths concisely
Disadvantages: maybe slightly short
...I feel that Holland will win Euro 2008. The main reason for this is the amount of goals scored already in the tournament (against world class opposition). For example, they scored 7 goals against the two teams that contested the World Cup final. They play with flair and imagination, illustrated by their quick counter attack against France to score their second goal. Johan Cruyff once said 'simple football is the most beautiful. But playing simple football is the hardest thing.' I feel that Holland have made simple football look easy in this tournament. In my opinion their only real competition is Spain who have also played some slick creative football throughout the tournament and have two quality stricker's in Torres and Villa. But, as we saw in 2004, the form book got thrown out of the window with Greece winning so I cannot be too...

Euro FIFA
Review of UEFA Euro 2004 (Xbox) by
JJBDude
Advantages: Team news, scout reports
Disadvantages: No licences
...UEFA Euro 2004 is a football game which in most people's eyes wasnt going to be a huge sucess. When there is a big football event like a Euro competion or a World Cup taking place there is normally a game released just before.
The last game being released was World Cup 2002, this was lacking in peformance and because of that people expected this game to be the same including myself. Well I got the game and I was proved very very much so wrong. This game is ALOT betetr than World Cup 2002 and I prefer more than FIFA 2004.
I am pleasd to say that the Euro 2004 campaign mode has been improved ALOT from the World Cup 2002 Campaign Mode. Now, you can go through the teams qualifiers and also have friendlies along the way. There are alot more options involved too. I'll now go through a list of some.
Now for the first time you will get...

Why Spain will win Euro 2008
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by
Warmer
Advantages: Excellent attacking options with limitless creative prowess
Disadvantages: Shaky defense when under constant pressure
...It is extremely hard to choose a champion for 2008 as there has never been such an open and even tournament. I think the following teams have no chance of winning: Romania, Poland, Austria, Turkey and Greece.
Although they have been one of the Favourite sides to win in the past but never quite reaching their potential and expectation I think Spain look good to win the European championship this year. They have an eight match winning streak which included former World Champions France and the current World Champions Italy.
Spains biggest asset in this tournament is their brilliant Goal Keeper Iker Cassillas but they will need him with the fragile defense that they seem to have.
Spains key to winning this tournament will be the scoring prowess of Torres up front along with the combination of fabrigas, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez...
