...I first came across MultiMap.com through the use of Lycos. They must have some sort of partnetship with Lycos where the Lycos website used part of the MultiMap site and you were able to look at street maps on the Lycos website. Road Atlases and Maps for longer distances, Street Atlases and Maps for navigating around towns and cities and A-Z Guides of London are just a selection of the extensive selection of material that they produce. For those who don`t know, maps unfold to produce those flattish, crinkly things that never seem to fold up again correctly whilst atlases are maps in book form, sometimes with a spiral binder (a great innovation). ...TomTom Map of the USA and Canada Maps TomTom Maps are a 2gb SD card with route maps stored on them that are made to work with the TomTom satellite navigation system. They originally come with UK/Europe maps so these are a brilliant upgrade if you are considering taking your car abroad or hiring a car and driving over there. These are a lot easier than using a standard map when you are visiting another country and make getting around easy. We have just bought one of these as we are planning a trip to the USA and decided one of these would be useful. I have never been abroad so certainly wont know my way around. Advantages: Free maps, great location finder

...I am always on the look out for useful sites and services and what a useful site this has proved to be, I regularly use it rather than go to the expense of buying maps. What am I going on about, Streetmaps.co.uk, here you will find OS maps for every location in the UK and in most cases you can even locate street level maps, by that I mean maps allowing you to pinpoint any individual road in the country. Finding somewhere has never been so easy. The site can be easily searched on a variety of criteria, Post Code, UK Place Name (town city village, etc), OS Grid Reference, Landranger Grid Reference, Longitude and Latitude and Telephone area code. ...I purchased this through the TOMTOM website and downloaded it to my TomTom GO520 T. It downloaded really quickly through our 8 meg connection and I had it installed on my device within a few minutes. We used it for a driving holiday to Hungary in Feb 2008 and it proved fantastic - we did not come accross any roads (including tiny farm trtacks) that were not listed. All the POI's we used were accurate (petrol stations, shops, shopping centres, tourist attractions) and generally we could not fault it. It is especially useful for planning a journey as with all the TomTom products you can preview the map and route. In Mid June 2008, I downloaded the new updates Eastern European map and am going to test this out during August on yet another Hungarian driving holiday. Well done TomTom. The goblins and the Invisible Paint..With a big thirst but no money to buy drinks, the goblins get Mr Sparks to agree to split his profit with them if the lucky charm they give him brings him more business! Then they set about painting things with invisible paint and putting them in the road to cause accidents. Will Mr Plod work it out and put the naughty goblins behind bars where they belong? What Strange Weather...Toytown is very lucky that they have lovely weather almost all of the time. Until it starts raining eggs and milk. Advantages: Lucsious pop

...Maps is a lad called James Chapman who works in his bed-room and splices sounds together on a 16-track recorder rather than using a computer. The result is a semi glorious pop album, in the style of bands like Grandaddy and the Postal Service, or maybe Death Cab for Cutie or even Moby — gentle, luscious pop. The positive side is that in its good moments, the luscious, rich sounds make you drift off into a happy place as the electronic sounds wash around inside your head. This happens enough that I could recommend the album. The downside is that in some places the album is a little flat. It does sound like Moby in parts (particularly his last album) but of course Moby didn’t learn in his bedroom, he went to techno raves and learned the power of a groove, which this album lacks. ...All Maps Welcome is the third album from Tom McRae, after his self-titled album, Tom McRe, and then Just Like Blood. I first heard this album when I was given a free taster to it, which played about 30 seconds of each song; this then led me to buy the full album. I was already a fan, and was looking forward to seeing him when he toured last year. His dark lyrics and melancholy melodies really blew me away, and I wanted to hear more. In this album, he uses assistance from members of Beck’s backing band. It took only three weeks to record, and the album itself deals with the break up of a long term relationship. His lyrics are just as deep as in other albums, but with hints of self-pity never seen before. I never really connected with this album as much as the previous ones, and I am still sceptical with some of the songs on Just... Read review
