I am a big fan of the old episodes of neighbours that U.K. Gold shows. However, if I missed both showing of that episode on U.K. Gold, I can be rest assured that I will get to see it repeated that same day on U.K. Gold 2 later in the evening. U.K. Gold 2 offers us - The Bill, Neighbours, EastEnders, Knotts Landing as well as the Brittas Empire and Dads Army. ...I have been involved in a tremendous amount of research involving the HOSTING of peoples and companies websites in the UK. After a few months of trialing different solutions there are the following major problems for UK websites who are hosting in this country: 1) The prices being charged in the UK per gigabyte are approximately 3-4 times the price that is charged in the USA. 2) The security controls against hackers and mistakes are far more advanced in the USA 3) The Bandwith availabilty in America is uncomparibly better then the UK because in certain parts of the USA you can host with a T1 line which is literally on the backbone of the Internet, thereby giving amazing speeds which are basically unobtainable here in the uk. ...I have been selling music from the UK - mainly CDs and records - for a couple of years and I have to say that it is much more profitable to list items in dollars on the main eBay site (www.ebay.com) than in pounds on the UK site (www.ebay.co.uk). It seems to be that the relative proportion of customers from the UK is quite small (around 5 per cent of all my sales) and that US bidders are put off by auctions priced in pounds. Most US buyers are happy to send US dollars in cash can obviously be converted back into pounds. It is worth the added incovenience to get top prices for your items.... Read review

The directory has some really good links to things like MP3's, games, downloads, shopping and it also has some good public service sites. Lycos also offers you a free email address, and you can also win money every day by playing a game called fetch. I prefer to use lycos.co.uk when searching for uk sites, the uk search engine is one of the best by far on the web. It allows you to find anything in the uk. ...The price deiferential for Landrovers in say Holond to the UK is very high. When I first placed my order through EAC direct at www.eacdirect.co.uk for a Freelander it was supposed to take 6 months max with a saving of over £6000 on a 3 door EXi. 12 months later I am still waiting! Not the fault of EAC but Landrover UK they delibratly held the order up. The reasons are obvious, piss the customers off so they buy in the UK. Well I have news for Lanrover all they will do is stop peole buying their product full stop. Even when and if I get my Landrover, i will never buy one again because of the way they have dealt with not just me but all buyers who realise that the prices paid in the UK are outlandish. So my adice is if you are going to buy from abroad or the UK then DO NOT BUY LANDROVER... Read review
