University Of Ulster Coleraine
Advantages: many
Disadvantages: few
...I attended University of Ulster Coleraine about 5 years ago when I did my Bsc hons in Social Psychology. Overall, I found the course very enjoyable but hard work.
The coursework is quite heavy, but interesting as there are modules on biopsychology, criminology, cross cultural psychology, sex and gender, and research methods to name but a few.
The Uni itself is to be recommended to all potential students, it has a lot of facilities on site, there are two very good libraries and the staff are helpful, but busy. The uni is divided into Central and South buildings with south being accessed via a covered walkway so you don't get wet.
The main building holds the bookshop, registry, library, shops, bank and launderette plus if my memory serves me right there are 3 different places to eat with the best being in the basement providing...

Rugby Fever
Advantages: Realistic matches and wide choice of gameplay
Disadvantages: Lots of controls to master. Poor Camera angles.
...For Rugby fans there has always been a real lack of good, realistic, enjoyable games. I enjoy both Rugby Union and Football. I am a Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) fan and unfortunately this game does not do for Rugby simulation what that does for football. Still it is the best Rugby game I have played and very enjoyable never the less. It is an especially well-timed release to coincide with the World Cup and allows players to create a bit of the fun and excitement of Rugby tournaments with or without their friends at home.
Compared to the first EA Rugby game this is a massive improvement. Gone are the dig and push bars that made gameplay confusing. In Rugby 2004 rucks, mauls, and scrums are realistic and offer players various options such as quick balls to either forwards or backs or picking up the ball with scrum-half. This makes rucks...

I love Rugby League
Advantages: Fantastic family sport - much cheaper than football
Disadvantages: None.
...What is Rugby League.
Rugby League is a sport that has its roots actually in football history although neither sport bear any resemblance to what we know them as today. Way back in the early days of the sport it was called football and this was played in schools, although each school seemed to have their own version of the rules. There where 2 versions of the game, the handling of the ball and the kicking game (19th century). These 2 versions later became know as the Football Association and the Rugby Football Union.
During 1895 rugby had lots of problems mainly brought about by the fact that there where lots of northern working class team who had great success much to the disgust of the gentry who ran the game There where many disputes relating to time off work to play, where pay was stopped and as there where more...

It's not from Rugby. Is it brewed under licence
Advantages: A bottle conditioned ale
Disadvantages: Very ordinary. It's not brewed in Rugby
...As an East Midlander, I felt I should know and support local brews. I came across bottles of a beer at the local supermarket which celebrated a town not far away from the city of my birth and also the birth of a famous English sport. I had not heard of Rugby Ale before, but my researches soon showed that the brew itself did not come from Rugby but from a town rather closer to Birmingham.
There is a very strong heritage of brewing right across the Midlands (after all Burton on Trent is only a stone?s throw from here). This was a brew that was asking to be tested.
WHERE DOES RUGBY ALE COME FROM?
We are on the very edge of my old stamping ground here (Leicester born and bred ? me!). Atherstone in Warwickshire lies on the A5 (the old roman road the Watling Street) eight south east of Tamworth and about the same distance north...

World Championship Rugby
Advantages: The finest rugby simulation on PS2
Disadvantages: The scrums, rucks and mauls are awfully frustrating
...World Championship Rugby is developed by Swordfish Studios who are famous for the great PSone rugby title Jonah Lomu Rugby. With EA's Rugby 2004 boasting the official players and grounds can WCR be as good or even better?
World Championship Rugby is split into two main modes they are Competition Modes and Challenge Modes here is a description of the Tournaments available in the game.
Competition Modes:
World Championship: This is the World Cup which is contested in groups of 5 with the top 2 teams progressing.
Euro Nations: The Six Nations and you can play as Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales, France or Italy. These teams play each other once.
Three Nations: The Tri Nations with New Zealand, Australia and South Africa these teams play each other once.
Tour: You can choose a team and tour a continent of your choice...

Holiday Inn Rugby - Good option for those on a budget.
Advantages: Good value. Attentive staff. Clean and functional.
Disadvantages: Out of town. Mediocre food.
...I stay at this hotel quite often, on business, as the company I work for has a branch office close by. I am partial to the chain (if only to keep my loyalty club points in once place for maximum efficiency) although quality can vary significantly from one property to another.
LOCATION
This Holiday Inn is located just off Junction 18 of the M1 (less than three minutes), about 5 miles from Rugby itself, and significantly more from Northampton. As such, its not really practical for anyone who is not driving, unless they are visiting a location close by and will be taxi-ing to and from Rugby train station. There is nothing significant in walking distance, so its main clientele is the executive or managerial crowd passing through on their way to points north/south, or seemingly ever-present conference delegations.

EA Sports Bringing Rugby To The PS2
Advantages: Good Graphics, Training option is very good, as is the multiplayer
Disadvantages: Game play isnt as good as it could have been. Some computer teams are far too hard to play.
...When it came to Rugby games on the Playstation, the only one worth mentioning previously was Jonah Lomu Rugby. That is of course until 2001 when those clever guys at EA sports decided it was time for them to get in on the action. As I?m sure many of you are aware I am a big Rugby fan so when I saw this in Game for just £10 on the Ps2 I knew that it was one of those games I just had to buy.
Now EA are renowned for their ability to make good sports games such as the likes of the Fifa series, Tiger Woods golf series and a recent addition the Cricket series. They really are one of the main players where the sports genre is concerned. Of course the first thing to clear up is that this is very much a game focusing on the Union side of Rugby, as far as I?m aware there have been no games to date, which feature Rugby League.

Rugby World Cup 2003 - Greatest moments
Advantages: Some great action for rugby fans, Extras are very good
Disadvantages: A Little rushed, Too much time spent on opening ceremony
...With the Rugby world cup 2007 fast approaching, I decided to root out this DVD, which I had bought as part of a set of four after the 2003 event. As a big Rugby union fan, I definately enjoyed this DVD, which features all the best tries, tackles, kicks and performances from the wonderful tournament. However it does feel a little rushed, and way too much time is spent watching the highlights of the opening ceremony. The rugby action is good, but the chapters can sometimes look more like montages than actual rugby footage.
This DVD does feature the entire Wales vs New Zealand quarter final, widely regarded as one of the best games in rugby world cup histroy. This is a great bonus, as the game is brilliant from the first minute to the last, a truly great game.

Released just after the end of the 2003 world cup, this DVD...

Its a new Rugby World
Advantages: An ideal way to keep up to date with the Rugby World
Disadvantages: A bit pricey at £3.10
...As you may already know if you?ve read my London Irish review after years of being a loyal football fan I have turned to the dark side. Yes that?s right I became a Rugby fan. Anyway to the matter in hand, I?d never bought Rugby World until I was in Bracknell last Sunday and decided to buy it. So I thought I?d write an opinion on my first impression.
Front Cover
**********
A large picture of the months feature article takes up the middle of the cover with Rugby World written in largish Red letters at the top. All the issues feature articles are written along the bottom of the cover. The price is also clear to see (unless you work in WHSmith?s in Bracknell) in the top right hand corner at £3.10.
Contents

The contents section is divided into two pages with the first page listing the months feature articles, which...

rugby 2005
Advantages: its rugby
Disadvantages: its bad
...of the game itself. The pre - game menus have adopted a typical EAishness, with the pop music and playlists coupled with generic create - a - character options causing a lack of individuality and specialness. Not everyone that buys a sports sim wants to listen to the latest music, especially not when it comes to rugby. The key mistake here is in trying to make the sport mainstream. It is never going to happen. Sure, there will always be a dedicated fan base willing to purchase the title year after year in the vain hope that things will have improved, but whatever you do please, please PLEASE to not turn this beautiful game into another FIFA series!
There are, I suppose, some positives....
