University Of Ulster Coleraine
Advantages: many
Disadvantages: few
...I attended University of Ulster Coleraine about 5 years ago when I did my Bsc hons in Social Psychology. Overall, I found the course very enjoyable but hard work.
The coursework is quite heavy, but interesting as there are modules on biopsychology, criminology, cross cultural psychology, sex and gender, and research methods to name but a few.
The Uni itself is to be recommended to all potential students, it has a lot of facilities on site, there are two very good libraries and the staff are helpful, but busy. The uni is divided into Central and South buildings with south being accessed via a covered walkway so you don't get wet.
The main building holds the bookshop, registry, library, shops, bank and launderette plus if my memory serves me right there are 3 different places to eat with the best being in the basement providing...

Fantastic University
Advantages: Excellent facilities
Disadvantages: Could be far away if you live abroad
...University of Ulster - Magee Campus - Londonderry
I am going to write a review on the University Of Ulster - I don't know why it's under United Kingdom hotels - AS ITS A UNIVERSITY but anyway here goes.
University Of Ulster, Magee Campus is situated in Derry, in Northern Ireland. It is well known for its Main Building - a history landmark which has been open since the 1800's.
At present the university has now a great mixture of old and new buildings.
The university is situated 5 minutes from the City Centre and the Famous Derry Walls.
Students from all over the world have come to study here - there is a wide range of ethnic origins.
The facilities they offer:

Worcester University
Advantages: Accomodation, Student Union, Sports, Clubs, Library, IT, History
Disadvantages: Expense
...I've been here getting on for around a week now and I must say that I have had an excellent time so far. Before accepting the offer to go Worcester I travelled to it to investigate it and to see if it was for me. After travelling around some of the other universitys that I got into I came to the conclusion that this one was more for me conpared to any of the others.
Size
*********
I've found that its small which makes it quaint in my eyes and from my opinion however I find a city that is huge can be a little too big and can appear scary and overwhelming at times. Worcesters size is perfect offering up Night Clubs, Food, Shops and culture.
The University was originally opened as an emergency teaching college until only recently in the last few years it has been granted the ability to become a university. This means it has being...

Faculty of Informatics - Jordanstown
Advantages: Constantly updated course with good facilities
Disadvantages: Could be more options available on the Computing Science course
...The best University in Northern Ireland if not the whole of the UK for studing Computing Science.
The course is reviewed all the time and input from the students is taken on board. Changes in the course do reflect the needs of industry and this is a good thing.
The technologies and hardware available is the best the that I have seen and heard of. I would recommend that if you wish to take on an undergraduate Computer course you check out the University of Ulster. Computing courses are offered in Magee, Coleraine and Jordanstown....

Ulster Bus
Advantages: gets the job done, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: can be delayed and made late, buses need updated
...I have been travelling to university since the start of this university year in September. The service gets me from A to B, but some times there is the odd delay or one bus is late leaving me late on the next, so late for class, though traffic is so unpredictable that you cant really be annoyed about the service.
The bus drivers are all friendly and are good at their jobs in my area, they seem to have it down to an art of getting people onto the bus as quickly as possible.
The buses can sometimes be a bit run down and shabby, with ripped seats covered in graffetti and rubbish in between the seats on the smaller journey that I take to get to the main bus station in my area, though the Goldliner Express bus is a much bigger bus with bigger seats and more leg room, these buses take you on larger journeys like to the citys etc.
I...

What a uni!
Advantages: Great friendly city, cheap living, good reputation, excellent computer facilities
Disadvantages: Traffic, not particularly cheap union
...I'm currently a second year student at the University of Leeds and I 100% recommend it!!
COMPUTING FACILITIES
****************************
I would say that one of the strengths of Leeds University is its number of computer clusters. It has absolutely loads! There are 29 clusters currently provided by ISS (the university's computer network people) with over 1600 computers between them. I am currently sat in a rather large cluster with many, many computers free. ISS also provide screens telling you where computers are free, if the cluster of your first choice is full; so you can pretty much always find a computer if you want one!
ISS also offer quite extensive wireless coverage over the campus. This means you can take your own laptop into uni and connect to the Internet via the university network. One of the main wireless areas...

The University of Birmingham
Advantages: Great teaching, facilities, opportunites and social life
Disadvantages: i am only here for 3 years, wish it could be more.
...I am a student at the University of Birmingham in my first year of the popular course; Sports and Exercise Sciences. Although it is a difficult university to get in to, there are hundreds of different courses to choose from if you are not accepted on your favoured course. Also, they are quite lenient with grades as I did not achieve the expected marks but still got in... shhh!
So what made Birmingham my number one choice? As soon as I arrived at the open day and got a walk around the campus I knew this was the place for me. Not only is it one of the leading universities in the UK for my course it is a beautiful place to study with its landmark clock tower, luscious all weather pitches and modern redbrick buildings. I felt right at home here and could picture myself studying here for the future.
The Campus is located in Selly Oak...

Nottingham Trent University
Advantages: Great Uni. Fact!
Disadvantages: Disadvantages?!
...So, having just finished at Nottingham Trent University it made perfect sense to make this brief review on the place...trust me if I reviewed every aspect of life here that I've experienced it would equate to the length of War & Peace!
Trent is officially the leading "new" university in the country and is predominantly a city-based campus, with two other campuses located at Clifton (about 5 miles south of the city) and Brackenhurst (a very rural campus based to the north-east). I spend three years there and had an awesome time.
In my first year I was based at the Simpsons Halls of Residence, which are in the Lenton area of Nottingham. Although not the nicest area of the city, the halls were certainly some of the best. Having had coursemates and friends who were located at other halls such as Hampden and Sandby which are much closer...

My University
Advantages: great place, great people
Disadvantages: new so still improving
...Introduction
I have been a student at the University of Gloucestershire for 2 years now. I am on a year out, but will be going back to do my 3rd and final year to complete my Business Management degree. My time at the university has been very memorable and I am looking forward to going back and finishing my course. I have thought about whether I made the right decision choosing this university over the large number of other universities available around the country, but I do not regret the decision I have made. I have made many great friends and love the environment of the university.
Campuses
The University of Gloucestershire is split up into four campuses: Park, Francis Close Hall, Oxstalls and Pittville.
Park campus is known as 'The Business School'. Those studying any business related courses, hospitality...

University Life
Advantages: reputation, sports, teaching
Disadvantages: on a hill, shops + banks
...Having been a fresher here at bath for 8 weeks now I feel the need, nay, duty to write a review on the university. I've already done a freshers review on "things beginning with F" if you want to hear about how great (or rather average) freshers week was. But this is going to focus more on the university.
I'm currently on a 4 year physics masters course here at Bath.
--------------------
Reputation
--------------------
I don't believe in league tables and all that rubbish. The trend seems to be that the more time the university spends on fiddling it's figures to make it look good, the less time it can spend on teaching.
I didn't apply to Oxford or Cambridge for two reasons. Firstly, I wouldn't be able to get in. Secondly I know it would be full of people who only applied because of the name and who could succeed better...
