Ulitmate Collection for an Ultimate Super-Hero
Review of Superman (Ultimate Collector's Edition) (Box Set) by
dempsey_review
Advantages: everything you ever wanted to know about Superman
Disadvantages: Presenation could of been better
...of the information was repeated in the first bonus disk, but still, it did have some things missed from the first bonus disk so it did have some relevance, after all this is supposed to be the 'Ultimate Box Set', and anything missed out would surely rob it of its 'Ultimate' title.
The most pleasing attribute to this bonus disk is that it shows nine Fleischer cartoons of Superman from the early days, which gives you a more understanding of how Superman has developed over the years , and just how many decades the Superman character has been entertaining audiences.
I would conclude this disk by saying it is a complimentary attribute to the box set itself and give it a rating of 5 out of 10.
Running time approximately 52 minutes

The Pro Won
Review of Canon PowerShot Pro1 by
alabony
Advantages: Does pretty much everything a good SLR should do, but cheaper
Disadvantages: You can't change the lenses. Plus other little things. Read on...
...a very wide-angle lens camera. Most digital compacts have lenses around the 35-105mm range, in 35mm terms. Some expensive ‘pro-sumer’ cameras go out to about 28mm at the wide end. I, on the other hand, have got quite used to my excellent 22-55mm zoom wide-angle lens on my Canon 35mm SLR. It’s excellent for really panoramic landscape shots.
BACKGROUND:
So, having discovered the benefits of digital photography, I started seriously looking for a digital replacement for my Canon EOS50 35mm SLR. My initial thought was to buy an EOS300D, on the basis that it’s compatible with my current lenses and would be easy to use since I know how to work Canon SLRs. But, even my super-wide-angle 22-55mm lens would only translate into a 35-80mm lens on the 300D, so I’d be back to square one on that front.
Unfortunately very wide angle lenses are very...

Super is fitting in more ways than one
Review of The Hussys - Super Pro by
dr_dusk
Advantages: Variety of tunes. Quirky and insightful lyrics
Disadvantages: Erm... hard to buy
...How to introduce this album? I guess since nobody will have heard of the band, I'll just jump straight in without one… Super Pro is the first full-length album by Glaswegian outfit The Hussys. It's been a long time coming (the band have been together in various forms for over 4 years), and after a slow build up, it's finally here. It is a CD that will surprise some with its balance and range of songs, and one that is worth a listen if you are looking for something new and refreshing.
One of the first things you notice when you put this on, is that there is a mixture of genres, from pop and country (with a slide guitar, and what sounds like a mandolin) through to straightforward rock, and a mixture of tempos. One song even seems to take inspiration from Hey Mickey.
In terms of the songwriting and style, a couple of songs are loosely...

EarThumps - they can if you want them to
Review of Griffin EarThumps by
kathryn.rosling
Advantages: You hear what your meant to and nothing else
Disadvantages: Could be doggy if using whilst jogging/cyclng etc.
...Well what's the point of reviewing earphones?
Answer - no matter how good your DVD/MP3/radio/MPEG4 etc if you are mobile the earphones are the most important part. Without a good pair you can have the best unit but it will ultimately be let down by poor earphones.
So I have bought several different types in my time and up till now have always been disappointed. This may tell you something about the review to follow. :-)
........................................................................................................................
SUMMARY
The Griffin Earthumps are excellent, by far the most superior earphones I have owned.
Comfortable
Good sound reproduction
Cuts out ambient noise to great effect
Value for Money
35" (89cm) from jack plug to split point.

Review of Members Advice On Ear Stretching by
cloudedmind
Advantages: looks great
Disadvantages: incy bit painful
...(wiping with tea tree oil, salt water etc). Wait 2-4 months to stretch again to avoid damaging the tissue.
Will my ears always be stretched?
The vague point of 'no return' is around 2 gauge (6mm) : becoming less likely to return to the size of a standard earring. This ultimately depends on the elasticity of your skin. The stretching will definitely shrink, but how much differs from person to person. If you gradually stretched its more likely that they will return to a normal size as scar tissue hasn't built up.
Aftercare
As already mentioned, salt water and tea tree oil are the best for helping them to heal. Dissolve around ½ a teaspoon of salt into 500ml of warm water - about shower temperature.
For healing stretching it's advised to wear glass, titanium or surgical steel jewellery only to prevent infection.
When it's healed...

poppin pro plus
Review of Pro Plus Stimulant by
TheCelticTriad
Advantages: keeps you awake.
Disadvantages: keeps you awake when you wanna sleep
...are that it is a mild stimulant, it increase your heart rate and blood pressure. You should have a general feeling of being “perked up” and that you should be more able to sustain brain work.
Higher doses of caffeine can cause side effects such as headaches, nausea, dizziness, restlessness, insomnia, tense muscles, panic attacks, ringing in the ears, diarrhoea, convulsions and even seeing light flashes.
Warnings that pro plus gives are simply if your tiredness continues then you should consult your GP, and also ambiguously to tell your doctor or pharmacist if you experience and “unusual” effects after ingesting pro plus!
Although you should be warned that there have been cases of overdose (in massive amount i.e. above 300) hallucinations,
Caffeine is also a mild diuretic (water tablet) therefore it is advised to drink a glass of water...

Sensible Pro Evolution Soccer!
Review of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (PSP) by
clownfoot
Advantages: It's Pro Evolution Soccer, in handheld format for crying out loud...
Disadvantages: Some long loading times and a lack of a Master League likely to put some fans off...
...tie to non-league Nuneaton Borough.
Luckily, you just can't keep the second best football game ever made down. Before you know it, that difficult away tie has become a simple 5-0 thrashing. Konami have done the sensible (pun intended) thing and have converted Pro Evolution Soccer to the PSP with the framework of the machine in mind, along with how gamers are likely to utilise the PSP in its portable capacity. Thus, the game is leaner and more compact, removing many decent yet irrelevant elements of the more powerful PS2 version, whilst maintaining the most important aspect of all previous versions of Pro Evolution Soccer - the actual football engine that provides the realistic gameplay.
Indeed, it's the football that you pay for and it's the football that you get. The main game engine looks as realistic and as gorgeous as it ever did...

THE ULTIMATE COMIC BOOK CASH INVESTMENT
Review of The Ultimate Spiderman - Stan Lee by
LostWitness
Advantages: Groovy, modern styling
Disadvantages: Would make the traditionalists cringe
...One of the criticisms that many people might have of super hero comic books is that they are extremely old-fashioned. Batman, Spiderman and the like have been around since the 1950s or 60s, without changing all that much, and the whole super hero concept is now rather dated. This has been attributed as being the key root cause of the dwindling sales, and the lack of interest from today’s children.
Comic book publishers cottoned on to this fact quite some time ago. In the 1990s a whole new raft of comic books appeared, featuring plenty of nudity and violence, as it was believed that this is what the kids wanted. Some of these worked – but most of them failed, so for the writers it was back to the drawing board.
In 2001, somebody in Marvel Comics had a rather good idea. Why not take established, well-loved characters...

THE PRO EVOLUTION RIVAL.
Review of FIFA 2007 (PSP) by
apatra
Advantages: good graphics, fantastic skills, technique and excellent game play.
Disadvantages: low voice on commentary.
...% but I will still write on the issue some where in the review. The referee is not biased like the pro evolution 5 referee that finds every tackle and challenge an offence, which made the game quite annoying. There are some things I have found out in footie game referee that makes them angry in the game, and that is tacking the ball with a slide and this makes them mad and can even lead to a red card. When slide tackle an opponent in the game, it is 85% certain that you will be issued a yellow card if not even a red card. But want to get a sure red card, slide tackle your opponent in a counter attack and then wait for the exit card. I think that the footie game makers would make other things an offence not only issuing cards on slide tackles. Rough plays like quaking an opponent is also a card offence.
WHAT ABOUT PACKAGING...

They think it can't get any better, it just did!
Review of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (Xbox) by
kingchris
Advantages: Greatest football game ever
Disadvantages: Commentry, lack of licences
...Each year, konami have released another pro evolution soccer game, which is better than all the other football games, and there is no way this game can be improved, but konami have a knack, of creating the best football games ever, and improving on them the next year. Until almost a year ago, when pro evolution soccer 3 came out, I was a huge supporter of the fifa series, now a year on, I have realised that the pro evolution soccer games are the ultimate, most realistic, in depth football games there are.
The latest pro evolution soccer game there is pro evolution soccer 4, and guess what, this is THE BEST FOOTBALL GAME THERE IS! (Surprise surprise).
Everything is just so much better than pro evolution soccer 3, (although it may seem impossible to some). The game is just so much smoother and so much more realistic than pro evolution...
