...? Hmm I dunno, I’m no comic book buff. And after all that, I still found the storyline satisfying. That Dr Octopus isn’t actually evil, only temporarily controlled by a malevolent force, is of course a comic book staple, but nevertheless in today’s climate of truly evil people, on screen and off, I thought it was a genuinely poignant touch that he ultimately gained redemption. Superhero Continuity Fans Step Up Oh yes whilst Superman is still in your minds, I need to ask a question, in one scene Spiderman saves Mary Jane from a piece of metal framework that is barrelling towards them at high speed, it looks distinctly like the blades of a combine harvester in motion. Is this paying homage to the scene in Superman where Superman saves Lois Lane’s son from a harvester’s blades in the cornfield where they’re eating a picnic? One to think... Read review

...sits in his bedroom for hours flinging webs and climbing the walls. I like all of the simple parts of this movie that reflects the humble nature of Peter Parker. I think the credit for this goes to Toby Maguire; I feel he is one of the most realistic and likeable actors today. The movie turns from simple to grand when Willem Dafoe’s character comes into the action. Dafoe who shows his acting brilliance by playing a split personality villain (Green Goblin) and Peter Parker’s roommate's father (Norman Osborn). The Green Goblin seeks revenge on the company that fired him and ultimately seeks his revenge by killing as many people as possible. The Green Goblin feels Spider-Man is a worthy opponent, so, he gives him an ultimatum to join his realm of terror or fall victim to his violence. ...Remember the good old days when a cheap movie cash-in usually meant that the developer dished you a crappy hack-n-slash action adventure? What's with all of these lame free roaming games based off the movies that have been coming out lately? All of them have the same things in common; for one, there isn't much reason to play these with games like Crackdown and Grand Theft Auto being out there. And secondly, the game will sell millions of copies because of the name. The Spider-Man games have been decent over the years, but took a big plunge with Ultimate Spider-Man, a five hour game that felt like it took twenty hours because of its extremely repetitious. Disadvantages: Gameplay is very repetitive and things like swinging don't feel right

.... There are defiently better games out there but you can't fault Spiderman 2 for it's sheer originality. At least it's trying to do something different but ultimately failing. This is the best game of it's kind but in this kind of game there is no competition apart from Hulk which is about the same as this. You can defiently buy better than this for your PS2. The Spiderman team have tried to impliment new ideas but it really isn't good enough. ...Spiderman 3... The follow-up to the best superhero game of all time - no pressure, then... They' re times when spiderman 3 play's like you dreamt it would do. As you watch the ultimate marvel hero spin, arch and dip through a dazzingly recreated manhattan skyline, both your stomach and heart leap - one out of the sheer thrill, the other out of pure joy. Then there are times when spiderman 3 becomes a nightmare. As spidey loses his bearings on a dark ceiling, as the camera becomes a twitching mess, or when the man with the proportional strength of a spider get's his ass handed to him by a bum poking him with a stick. How much you enjoy this game therefore depends on which memory lingers longest.
