SanDisk SecureDigital Ultra II 512 MB
Review of SanDisk SecureDigital Ultra II 512 MB by
matt_fantastic
Advantages: Fast
Disadvantages: Only 512MB (?)
..., the memory card cannot outperform the camera (a slow camera will still be a slow camera), but I do believe that this "Ultra" version will respond faster, allowing you to take more pictures, faster. Also, when you want to download (upload ?) all the 500+ photo's to your PC for printing/storage/editing or whatever, this fast card will make quick work of that too !
Of course, this will work in any device that takes an SD card, from PDA's to MP3 players.
Dimensions: Height: 2.1 mm, Length: 32 mm, Width: 24 mm, Weight: 1.5 Grams. The SD card also has a little write-protection switch on the side to stop accidental overwriting/deletion of files if required.
REVISION FOLLOWING COMMENT:
Environmental Characteristics:
- Temperature Operating: 0 to 70° C (Standard and Ultra II cards)
- Temperature Non-Operating: -25 to 85° C (Standard...

My Sandisk Ultra II 4GB
Review of Sandisk Ultra II SDHC Secure Digital 4096 MB by
Ikillrocknroll
Advantages: Fast, Cheap
Disadvantages: Lack of backwards compatability
...I bought the Sandisk Ultra II 4GB card after purchasing my new 14.6mp camera, which produces RAW files of around 12-14mb! I clearly needed an upgrade because my older 2GB SD cards could only store 70 photos. I wanted a card that would combine speed, capacity, and value for money - and so I landed at the Class 4 Sandisk SDHC Ultra II 4GB card. I've had experience with Sandisk before, and wanted to stick with them especially after I found out that this card has a lifetime limited warranty, and has been tested to be compatible with a large range of high-end digital cameras.
The Sandisk Ultra II SDHC 4GB card (Which I will now refer to as "The card" to save any confusion), has read speeds of 10mb/sec, and write speeds of 9mb/sec, producing an excellent performance on my camera.
Previously when I used my older 2GB card, I didnt have...

Sandisk ultra super duper!
Review of Sandisk Compact Flash CF 512 Ultra II 512 MB by
Rachaellmackenzie
Advantages: Faster than the standard card
Disadvantages: More expensive than the standard card!
...I have decided that all my memory cards for my digital cameras are going to be Sandisk from now on!!!
If I am right, Sandisk were the first ones to ever introduce Compact flash cards onto the market... way back when.......
Compact flash cards are widely used, not just for cameras etc but they can be used for memory for so many other items of hardware.
When I bought my first digital camera many moons ago I used to go for whatever was available at the time and probably the cheapest that was available but after using the Sandisk Ultra cards I changed my mind about that! However I would most definitely stick with compact flash cards! The deciding factor on my most recent camera was the fact that it used compact flash cards as its memory. I find that the compact flash cards are useful for a few reasons:
The size makes it hard...

Clickity Click, it's that quick!
Review of Sandisk Compact Flash Ultra II 2048 MB by
vk-dream
Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful
Disadvantages: Time delay as card fills up
.... The larger the space on the card the more money it was going to cost which is typical with pretty much everything in this world. You can have an Ultra card, and extreme card, a multi-use a special edition and even a plus card – the choice for just one brand was mind blowing enough without exploring any further.
As I was only a beginner I only wanted a small memory card and was only looking for 1 or 2 GB. Finally I came across the SanDisk ultra II 1.0GB and was really quite impressed with what I was reading.
“When the shooting turns fast and furious, serious photographers turn to SanDisk Ultra II CompactFlash. So fast, you’re always ready for the next shot. So rugged, environmental conditions are never a problem. So well built that it’s backed by SanDisk’s lifetime limited warranty. When every shot counts, choose SanDisk Ultra II Compact...

Blistering bargain
Review of Hercules 3D Prophet II Ultra by
cool_bob
Advantages: Fast, Stable, Great overclocking possibilities
Disadvantages: Too expensive for some, not much extra software
...Graphics cards are funny things. You buy them, take them out the box, and then WHAM. They're out of date! A fact of life that gamers always hate, the computer scene is moving so fast that what was once state of the art now looks like a piece of plastic shoved into a washing machine with a couple of mouldy socks and...... ok i think you get the idea.
The advantage of this is that everytime something new comes out, the products already out have to cut their prices to compete, and thats what makes the Hercules 3D Prophet II Ultra such a brilliant buy. NVidia are the king of the graphics cards, and their GeForce 3 cards knocked the Geforce 2 Ultra based graphics cards off the throne.
As the name suggests, the Hercules 3D Prophet II Ultra is based on the Geforce II ultra chipset, and as such --despite my rant above-- is still...

Great performer.
Review of Sandisk Secure Digit SD 512 Ultra II 512 MB by
johnsto
Advantages: Fast, durable
Disadvantages: It's red.
.... It wipes clean. And, it does what it's meant to do. Not bad for a little piece of some plastic and metal.
(The Sandisk Ultra II series is designed to be the fastest SD card in the Sandisk line, but with the standard Sandisk quality and recognition. The 1GB, 2GB and 256MB models 'should' perform just like this one.)...

Ultra Relief, Ultra Quick
Review of Anadin Ultra Ibuprofen by
memphisto_chick
Advantages: Quick relief from pain, no upset tummies
Disadvantages: Price
....
What Anadin say:
"For when you need strong pain relief, the concentrated liquid power of Anadin Ultra liquid capsules hits tough pain hard. Anadin Ultra liquid-filled ibuprofen capsules are easy to swallow and are specially formulated to relieve tough pain, letting you get on with your life."
Anadin Ultra Ibuprofen are actually regular Ibuprofen, with a twist, rather than your plain and simple tablets or capsules, these are liquid capsules, they have liquid inside a tough shell. The tablets I had were a very attractive shade of green with 'Anadin' printed on the capsules. I did have a go at pressing these between my fingers but they did not burst, perforate or show any signs of doing so.
Ibuprofen is not suitable for everyone, so according to the Anadin website, you should not be taking these if:
You have or have ever had...

Feminax Ultra - An Additional Period Pain
Review of Feminax Ultra - Naproxen by
carysb
Advantages: Compact
Disadvantages: Expensive, Only designed to relieve period pain and menstrual cramps
...As a young girl I learnt to rely on Feminax during the early years of my periods as my body painfully adjusted to my menstrual cycle. Nowadays as a young woman I only take them as and when the pain is really bad, which isn't often, as it is controlled by my contraceptive pill.
However, this month was extremely painful and I decided that as I was out of Feminax and had seen Feminax Ultra advertised on the television that this would be a fantastic and stronger substitute for my period pain. Feminax Ultra is designed to give "Maximum strength pain relief from period pain and menstrual cramps". They are a new form of painkillers designed specifically to relieve this sort of pain and I hadn't seen them in the shop before.
I was expecting just a stronger version of the normal Feminax which treats headaches, stomach cramps, backache...

Always Ultra Protection
Review of Always Ultra Long Plus by
dibalmond
Advantages: read op
Disadvantages: read op
...Since I had my second child over 3 years ago my periods have been very irregular. They can occur every 3 weeks, 6 weeks or 3 or 4 months and I don’t have any idea when my next one will be. When I do have my period they can also vary from light to extremely heavy and again I never know from one month to the next what they will be like.
As a result when I do have my period I want to feel comfortable and confident that the towels I use are doing their job.
Over the years I have tried all different brands, including shop brands, but I have found that some are too bulky, some leak and some just feel uncomfortable. I always end up going back to the same brand, Always Ultra.
Procter and Gamble make Always Ultra towels and they come in various sizes to suit all different needs. I | | |
