Ultra Mobile Laptop from SAMSUNG
Review of Samsung Q35 HXD T7200 - Core 2 Duo T7200 2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by
Deru
Advantages: Small, Light, Good battery life and overall performance, High Spec
Disadvantages: Lags occasionally, Superceded by newer model
...After being given a laptop a few years back, I found that I didn't bother to use it because it was heavy and I didn't want to carry the thing around, so I decided to sell it and look for a lighter laptop. Looking at the range of Ultra Mobile laptops, the Samsung Q35 caught my eye. The Samsung brand, stylish design and specifications in particular, made me decide on this one in May 2007. It has a 12.1", which allows it to be classed as an Ultra Mobile laptop. This was important to me as smaller laptops are generally lighter and have better battery life.
SPECIFICATION
One of the reasons that I chose the Q35 is because it has a 2GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, which is one of the fastest processors out at the time. The 2.2GHz being the highest, but that was insanely expensive and it was not available for the Q35, only larger laptops. I...

ULTRA MOBILE, ULTRA COOL!!!!!!!
Review of Sony VAIO UX180P Micro PC - Core Solo U1400 1.2 GHz - 4.5" TFT - with port replicator by
bluerose28
Advantages: where to start, it's got everything : 30gb HDD, fingerprint scanner, small lightweight, 4.5 inch bright screen, 2 cameras, wifi, bluetooth, WWAN
Disadvantages: slightly chunky, sim slot is secure/comes with cingular sim
...'s a touch screen, which means you've got a stylus which is stored on the back of the UX. It's also a very nice stylus, metal and extends to make it longer.
There's a small rough square on the top right of the console, which you can use as a touch-pad/mouse kind of thing, which is very useful.
Another thing which I have to mention before anything else, is that it's got a FINGERPRINT SCANNER which is a whole lot of fun to use! I spent about half an hour scanning my fingers, it took quite a while to learn how to use it properly but you can use this when logging onto the UX so that it's ultra-secure. It might not always recognise your finger first time though, but I'm still getting used to it.
There also a button that brings you to a main menu that gets you quickly to the main features, such as the camera of wifi, this is really quite...

With the fast growth in the combination of mobile phones and built in camera's, you may need to consider a printing solution. You can usually transfer your pictures from your phone or other mobile device onto your PC and then use your printer to reproduce your images or you might want to consider a standalone option that will work much quicker and may suit people that want instant professional results without having to contend with the computer element.

The best ultra mobile... Until the battery dies
Review of Acer Aspire One A110L by
MrSwampy
Advantages: Price - Quick - Great screen - Big keyboard
Disadvantages: Battery life - Clumsy mouse keys
...quicker. The keyboard is also slightly bigger than on the Asus. It's obviously not full size, but it's certainly that bit easier to use if you're using it over long periods. The trackpad on the other hand, while responsive, seems akward to use to me because the buttons are placed either side of the pad instead of underneath.
The battery life.... Hold on, I just need to find my charger...
The battery life would be fine at the 3 hours-ish if compairing this to normal laptops, but I've used the Asus Eee, and it's batterry lasts about double that. (In the 6-cell models) I just don't understand why Acer couldn't do the same.
Final verdict: The Acer Aspire One is in many ways the best choice if you're looking for an ultra mobile laptop. I only wish the battery life was better. If Acer sort this out, it will definately be the king...

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Tiny Ultra Mobile PC
Review of Sony VAIO UX1XN - Core Solo U1500 1.33 GHz - 4.5" TFT by
Jacobnoahblues
Advantages: Ultra mobile and quick
Disadvantages: Tiny hard to see screen
...I purchased the UX1 when it first came into the UK over a year ago, there were some annoying tweaks such as a US keyboard etc, however overall I was blown away. Its such a smart little package which is ergonomic when held in your hands, its easy to flip the tiny screen up to reveal the keyboard which is very funky with blue back lit keys. Running Vista its super smooth with a 32GB solid state memory it loads software pretty quickly regardless of the normal Vista drain on memory. The best part of the ultra mobile pc was the finger tip technology which is very bondesque but works seemlessly, once set up kiss goodbye to all those endless username and password sign ins. Screen is slightly too small hence why I have upgraded to Sony TZ32!...

Size Zero of Mobile Phones has arrived.
Review of Samsung SGH U600 Ultra Edition 10.9 by
khy50
Advantages: Excellent features. top camera, slimmer than posh spice
Disadvantages: Poor battery life, touch sensitive buttons may put off novices
...Sexy, Stunning, Marvelous, WOW, Cool, Slim, Slender, Sleek, Fabulous, Sexy.Wait a minute, I've said that twice now. Describing the ultra slim 10.9 Millimeter U600 can take all day, visually its the best Samsung phone I've seen ever. But does the "personality" match the looks?
The box itself is so small, so slim, so compact that it gives you a taste of things to come. When you open the sleek blue box, you get the handset, the battery, the charger, a pair of headphones, a USB cable,CD software, User Guide booklet and other random leaflets. These are all the bog standard accessories that you would expect to get from a phone.
When you take out the phone from its packaging you can't help but think WOW. It is very nice looking phone indeed.
Slip open the battery and insert your SIM card and power the beauty up and you...

Annoyingly childish people want Virgin mobiles
Review of Virgin Mobiles [TV Advertisement] by
Manx
Advantages: A home grown company.
Disadvantages: The adverts seem to suggest that childish people want to use their product. Yet more Christmas Commercialism.
...If you have not seen these adverts then you can count yourself lucky. This is double if you happen to have a Virgin mobile phone. However, I’m still going to summarise them for you.
The first advert shows a family gathered around the Christmas tree for the annual opening of the gifts. The father, a largish man, with little hair and the sort of top my granddad would wear, opens up his gift and flies into a childish strop. “I wanna Virgin phone,” he whines. “Good Gawd,” I think, “Shut up!” Unfortunately, he continues and his petulant tone lists out all the reasons why he doesn’t want the phone he’s been so generously given and why he wants a Virgin one instead.
You see; I don’t think that annoyingly childish and uncooperative people want Virgin mobile phones but this seems to be the suggestion the advertisers of the product...

Ultra Relief, Ultra Quick
Review of Anadin Ultra Ibuprofen by
memphisto_chick
Advantages: Quick relief from pain, no upset tummies
Disadvantages: Price
....
What Anadin say:
"For when you need strong pain relief, the concentrated liquid power of Anadin Ultra liquid capsules hits tough pain hard. Anadin Ultra liquid-filled ibuprofen capsules are easy to swallow and are specially formulated to relieve tough pain, letting you get on with your life."
Anadin Ultra Ibuprofen are actually regular Ibuprofen, with a twist, rather than your plain and simple tablets or capsules, these are liquid capsules, they have liquid inside a tough shell. The tablets I had were a very attractive shade of green with 'Anadin' printed on the capsules. I did have a go at pressing these between my fingers but they did not burst, perforate or show any signs of doing so.
Ibuprofen is not suitable for everyone, so according to the Anadin website, you should not be taking these if:
You have or have ever had...

Feminax Ultra - An Additional Period Pain
Review of Feminax Ultra - Naproxen by
carysb
Advantages: Compact
Disadvantages: Expensive, Only designed to relieve period pain and menstrual cramps
...As a young girl I learnt to rely on Feminax during the early years of my periods as my body painfully adjusted to my menstrual cycle. Nowadays as a young woman I only take them as and when the pain is really bad, which isn't often, as it is controlled by my contraceptive pill.
However, this month was extremely painful and I decided that as I was out of Feminax and had seen Feminax Ultra advertised on the television that this would be a fantastic and stronger substitute for my period pain. Feminax Ultra is designed to give "Maximum strength pain relief from period pain and menstrual cramps". They are a new form of painkillers designed specifically to relieve this sort of pain and I hadn't seen them in the shop before.
I was expecting just a stronger version of the normal Feminax which treats headaches, stomach cramps, backache...

Always Ultra Protection
Review of Always Ultra Long Plus by
dibalmond
Advantages: read op
Disadvantages: read op
...Since I had my second child over 3 years ago my periods have been very irregular. They can occur every 3 weeks, 6 weeks or 3 or 4 months and I don’t have any idea when my next one will be. When I do have my period they can also vary from light to extremely heavy and again I never know from one month to the next what they will be like.
As a result when I do have my period I want to feel comfortable and confident that the towels I use are doing their job.
Over the years I have tried all different brands, including shop brands, but I have found that some are too bulky, some leak and some just feel uncomfortable. I always end up going back to the same brand, Always Ultra.
Procter and Gamble make Always Ultra towels and they come in various sizes to suit all different needs. I use Always Ultra Long Plus. The last pack I bought...
