this is The "t1" for you
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 by
dfjericho
Advantages: tiny, compact, excellent features
Disadvantages: no viewfinder - 5mp images are 2.2 Mb each
...After being so lucky enough as to aquire one of these cameras, I thought I'd share my views on this fully featured, high-specificationed Sony T1 Camera.
Start off
Upon opening the box - you are met with the usual gubbins that Sony throw in which are listed below ;
AC Adaptor
Rechargeable battery ( upto 120 mins life )
USB Cradle & cables
A/V connecting cable for viewing on a TV
32 Mb Sony memory stick duo
duo adaptor
CD-ROM (software and firmware update)
Design
Well, sony have a winner here for definate. Everytime I've used this camera it has always been a talking point with the people around me. Maybe its down to its size and looks, but nearly everyone who has seen this camera is impressed with not only the build quality, the styling but also the TFT quality for viewing and showing what you are taking pictures of...

Your life needs a little SPARC
Review of Sun Ultra 5 360 - UltraSPARC IIi 360 MHz by
sjhill
Advantages: Cheap entry level Sun SPARC from 1997
Disadvantages: Build quality is PC like, and low cache processors
...The Sun UltraSPARC 5 workstation was brought out in 1997, and was priced so you could have one on your desk for approx 1000 US Dollars. They stopped shipping to customers in May 2002. These days, it is not a fast machine, but still they are perfectly useable for many workstation and server tasks.
Processor and Memory -
This model has an UltraSPARC IIi processor which is, of course, 64 bit and is clocked at 360 MHz. You can have 1GB of memory in the workstation, installed as up to 4 DIMMS, which must be installed in pairs. "Normal" PC memory will not work in these workstations. The 260MHz model only has 256kB cache (same with the 270MHz processor) For better performance, you need the 2MB cache version on the 333 or 400MHz versions.
Storage -
There is one HDD bay in the machine, although if you remove the floppy drive, you...

Sony Vaio T1XP/L 1.4KG laptop
Review of Sony VAIO T1XP/L - Pentium M 733 1.1 GHz - 10.6" TFT by
matty168
Advantages: Small, Portable, Nicely Designed
Disadvantages: Charging time,Build Quality and Overheating
...itself, it has an Intel Centrino 1.1 ghz ultra low voltage cpu, 512mb of onboard RAM, 40 GB hard disk, cd rw/dvd drive, as well as a 10.6" lcd screen which has a very clear and precise image. There are also two usb ports,a firewire port, pcmia card slot, memory stick slot, VGA port, memory stick card reader slot, modem, bluetooth, wifi and audio controls.
The built in wireless card allows you to connect to a wireless network which is very handy-this is operated by a small switch. It also has built in bluetooth functionality too which is again very handy if you want to transfer files or information.
The laptop itself is bundled with Windows XP Pro edition and the various bits of software and leaflets about the Sony range of products. However you don't get the restore CD's incase you need to do a system install but there is a a feature...

Takes pictures that look as good as it does.
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 by
TheDuke
Advantages: Great picture and video quality, looks good, lots of features.
Disadvantages: Manual needs studying, long delay between clicking and recording pictures.
...The Sony DSC T-1 is a very small camera. Not James Bond, hide-in-your-shoe small, but small enough to easily fit into your trousers pocket. It has a satisfying weight to it, too, giving off the impression that it's quite sturdy. Indeed, mine's still working despite the combination of a clumsy oaf and gravity.
Priced in America at $499 (which equates to approximately £260 according to http://www.xe.com), you might think that it's quite a lot to pay for a digital compact camera, but there are many reasons why this is a good choice for the fun/serious amateur photographer.
Perhaps the three most important aspects that made me choose this camera over others with similar price and specifications were the fact that it was a 5 megapixels (i.e. pictures can contain up to 5 million pixels) and that I'd seen pictures from one and was greatly...

NAVMAN F20 with T1 Traffic module
Review of Navman F20 by
GAHIN
Advantages: Has nearly everything you could want in a Gps
Disadvantages: Lack of a manual Block road function makes it useless
...This is my 3rd GPS and what a bargain for £200 you get all the normal functions plus speed camera database ( which you have to pay to update) and the T1 module, which gives live traffic updates to reroute you.
I was very happy until I became aware of the lack of a manual block road function. Like I said this is my 3rd gps and a block road function is a very useful basic tool which has been invaluable on my previous GPS's. You arrive in a strange area and the road ahead is blocked for what ever reason now normally I would block the road and the gps will route me around the blockage. With the F20 you do not have this option, if the T1 does not list the blockage, (It does not list all local traffic info).
You have resort to driving off in a different direction and try to guess when the F20 decides it's found a different route...

Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 by
weiguxp
Advantages: Extremely Small, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Expensive, NO advanced functions
...I was deciding between buying a sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 or a DSC-W1, basically, i'll try comparing the pros and cons of both here
Statistics of T1/W1
AC Adaptor
USB Cradle & cables
32 Mb Sony memory stick duo
CD-ROM (software and firmware update)
A/V connecting cable for viewing on a TV
Large LCD screen
Advantages of T1:
Extremely small and easy to use
Actually pocketable
Small Rechargable Battery (purchase of Sony, Expensive)
Light
Disadvantages:
Small and easy to damage as you're tempted to put it in your pocket
No Decent zoom
Rechargeable battery expensive
Not very good at tacking pictures in the dark
No professional features
No viewfinder (useful when battery low)
I compared this to the W1 which I bought after hours of comparisan in the shop and testing it out, i bought the W1 mainly because it was cheaper...

A Fastext Tv That Wont Break The Bank
Review of Proline 20T1 by
loufenner
Advantages: all the features of a branded TV but a better price
Disadvantages: none
...Is'nt it amazing how things always seems to go wrong at the WRONG time. Just before Christmas my TV deciced that it's time was up, it had had it's calling to go to the big Tv heaven...the scrap yard!
So of to Comet I went with very little spare cash as Christmas was only 2 weeks away. I was surprised to find that I could purchase a 20" colour TV with Fastext for the great price of £96.00.
The Proline 20T1 has most of the features that the more popular branded tv's have, but a much cheaper price. Some of which are:
Automatic Tuning of channels.
With this function it was very easy to set the TV up, I just had to press a couple of buttons and the TV found and stored all channels. There is also a manual and fine tuning option if for some reason you want to tune the TV in yourself.
Clock and Wake-up Timer
You can use your Tv...

A nice show-off Camera!
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 by
Rp200
Advantages: Attractive, Weight, Quality, Features, Size
Disadvantages: Price
...yourself..what am I going to use this camera for?
As I am a keen photographer, love taking pics at weddings, parties and several other events, I wanted to produce good quality pictures. The higher the resolution of the camera the better the quality of prints you will get. Also, as I wanted larger pictures, A4 or bigger when printed, I had to go for higher resolution.
I decided to go for 5.0 Mega Pixels camera. Now, having seriously narrowed my search, It was much easier for me to find a camera according to my criteria.
SONY CYBER-SHOT DSC T1
The first camera I came across was the SONY DSC T1. This camera is very attractive, thats the main reason why it caught my attention.
It looked very different from the other SONY camera's on sale, in the sense of its looks. Apparently its the world...

OMG this is the smallest camera... ever!
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 by
waga
Advantages: small package, metallic body, looks super cool, unbelievable resolution, mpeg ability
Disadvantages: no viewfinder, flash is a bit underpowered
...Seriously... i think it is ..
This is the smallest camera with this sorta specification you can find at the moment. It's about the size of a credit card, and about the thickness of a DVD case you get in blockbuster.
Am sure you don't need a review of the specification, as you can get it off the sony website, but incase you can't be arsed:
DSC-T1 Major Features:
* 1/2.4" 5.1-Megapixel Super HAD™ CCD for up to 2592x1944 stills
* JPEG (Fine/Standard), Voice Memo and E-Mail still image modes
* Carl Zeiss 3X Optical zoom lens (38~114mm 35mm equivalent)
* Auto, Program AE, Scene Mode (Twilight, Tw Portrait, Landscape, Snow, Beach, High Speed Shutter, Fireworks, Magnifying Glass)
* Auto Shutter range 1 ~1/1000 sec; Auto aperture f3.5, f5.6, f8
* Five area Multi-point Auto Focus, with AF Illuminator low...
