Triumph Trophy 1200
Advantages: Great all round bike
Disadvantages: May be too large for shorter people
...I own the 2001 version of this bike. The 1200cc 4 cylinder motor sure does pack a punch. It can out perform most bikes on the road.
It is a great tourer and commuter especially if the full luggage set is installed. This consists of 2 panniers and the optional top box. I have the triumph panniers but the top box i have is made by shad. The triumph top box is an optional extra and expensive new. It can be purchased on ebay though but you will need to be patient to locate the colour you are after.
It is a large bike but is ideally suited to those longer in the leg. It fits me perfectly as im just over 6 foot.
The comfort is variable but some people chose to fit an alternative seat such as a corbin or instal a sheepskin cover.
The comfort for the passenger is alot better due to the width of the seat.
I commute everyday on mine 20 miles...

Super Scanner!
Advantages: Good looks, nice price
Disadvantages: A bit slow
...The UMAX AstraSlim 1200 SE is quite a fashionable scanner, which can be brought on a budget for around £35. I decided to buy one when I found out or suddenly became aware of how useful owning a scanner is. But, as usual, I was on a budget, and gave myself the task of buying a scanner which, is not only inexpensive but also is of good quality . After looking through the catalogues, I stumbled across this scanner. The package looked good and it was relatively cheap for a scanner so I brought it. It was money well spent. The scanner has plenty of functions and it does exactly what I wanted it to do!
Features:
-No power supply needed, connects through USB cable
-Photo-copy option
-Direct Scan option
-Direct e-mail option
-OCR function
-Photo express CD
A little information on the UMAX then:
Speed: 6 out of 10---The scanner...

BINATONE PEGASYS 1200!!
Advantages: small,lightwieght,cheap
Disadvantages: feels and looks quite cheap
...Our BT quartet 1100(what is it with these names!) had been
making irritating wailing electronic weird noises whilst on the
phone to someone and mum couldn't take it anymore.
mum brought the BINATONE PEGASYS 1200, when it got home
i was asked to set it up and decided i could help her then help
myself by writing a review on it.
it came in a small box and was clear it was cheap from the
packaging and the fact it had £14.99 sticker on it. i got it out and
fixed the battery into the back of the phone then for once decided
to read the manual! (as there was no quick start guide) it said
charge for 15 hours before use!(looking at the guide now i cant
find where it said this but I'm sure it did) so i out it on charge
and left it till the next day.
buttons: the phone and base have a variety of buttons like many...

A very good investment
Advantages: reliable, durable and cheap
Disadvantages: Hand-writing recognition not that great.
...About a year ago I figured I wanted to buy a scanner as it would be handy to have for college work. As I am a student I am on a rather tight budget and finally decided on the UMAX Astraslim SE.
At first I did not expect much from this scanner as it was less than £40 to buy but I must admit I was pleasantly surprised to find it was such a good investment.
Along with it's scanning capabilities this piece of hardware also comes with a photocopier (direct image to printer), e-mail function which allows you to avoid the hassle of saving to the hard-drive in the correct format then having to find the file again before you can send it. The scanner also comes with a handwriting recognition option and some limited recognition software. (textbridge and ABBYY)
Other software included with the scanner is the Ulead photo express suite. This...

Triumph Trophy 1200cc
Advantages: Reliability, strong engine, powerful
Disadvantages: Seat, windscreen
...I have owned my 2003 Triumph Trophy T312 1200cc since March 2006. I bought it with 9000 miles on the clock, all documents, full service record and in totally immaculate condition for only £3000. This was my first "big" bike after having a series of 600cc machines. My initial fear of it being too big, bulky and heavy were reasonably unfounded as I seemed to adapt reasonably well and quickly to riding it. Having said that, I am 6ft tall and am pretty well built so I felt that I was strong enough to cope. Anyone who is significantly smaller may struggle with it. The build quality of the bike is excellent.
Regarding features, everything seems to be very well put together, all plastics fit and meet perfectly and the paintwork is impressive. All user controls are very well positioned and easy to use too. The riding position is excellent...

Umax Astra 1220P
Advantages: Good resolution, good build quality, good drivers, price
Disadvantages: A little slow
...I bought this scanner for about £90 December 2000.
The scanner is quite a big machine in comparison to others like Canon but at least it's sturdy and well built. The quality of the scans are very good although the scanner is very slow. The parallel interface is partly the problem but the scanner head moves slowly anyway. Fortunately, speed isn't much of an issue here but because of the interface you can't do anything else with the computer while you are scanning.
The software is great! It's very easy to use and has some good features. There is an online scanner manual as well as the paper manual and an online driver manual. The driver is an industry standard TWAIN driver so it can be used in all supported applications.
The scanner features a 1200 x 1200 PPI (optical resolution) scan head which offers single pass 36 bit...

Umax Astra 2000P
Advantages: good price
Disadvantages: persistent failure
...Hi
I used to have a Umax Astra 2000P parallel-port flatbed scanner, but after the third one went wrong, I asked Umax's UK support provider to give me something else, because the darn thing would always go wrong when I most needed to copy a document or scan something.
I don't know if this is the experience of other users, but the parallel port model was nothing but trouble from the start.
The problem was always scanner connection. VSaccess used to suddenly and without warning say the scanner was undetectable and that was it. The last problem occurred during a scan - my machine hung whilst it was scanning happily, but following reboot the scanner was permanently undetectable.
I now have a 2200 instead, which has worked fine (so far), but did need me to go and buy a scsi card....

Nokia 1200- A Great Standby phone
Advantages: Small and easy to use
Disadvantages: Too Simple and no exciting features
...In my opinion the Nokia 1200 is the best black and white phone in the current market. It is a very user friendly phone and is available at a very cheap rate too. The cheapest among nokia models.
It has a simple but compact body panel and with looks that are in the league of other basic models. The phone is however more of functionality than appearance. It comes with multiple book function which allows the users to make five different phonebooks and save numbers in each one. This phone has a message counter under the call register option which keeps the tab on the number of messages received and sent.
It has great network coverage and has a good speakerphone as well. One interesting function of this phone is the flash light placed at the top of the phone. The flashlight is quite bright and the shortcut key for it is the up button...

XL1200S - Great
Advantages: Brand appeal, good suspension, low seat
Disadvantages: Low tank range, vibration, no fairing
...I've had an XL1200S Sportster now for just under 3 months, now that it's well past the 1000m run-in period I can enjoy what it's all about.
Taking the step from a 600 sports bike, to a 1200 custom was quite a change. The seating position is a welcome break, with all the strain removed from the wrists at low speed. The seating position is quite comfortable, making you feel that you're 'on' not 'in' the bike. With the foot controls being positioned in the conventional place is great for carving through bends, as opposed to forward controls, which is more suited for cruising or serious mile munching.
The pillion seat is pretty comfortable, with a sissy bar being a must if you're thinking of carrying a pillion on a regular basis. The rear peg positions provide a comfortable seating position, and are a great way to relax your legs if...
