Vital Radiance Hydrasmooth Concealer
Review of Revlon Vital Radiance Hydra Smooth Under Eye Concealer by
missc81
Advantages: The hydrator is a great idea, Blends in easily
Disadvantages: Not much coverage
...I bought this new from ebay for around £2.50 ( including postage ) and figured i'd got quite a bargain because you can't buy Revlon in the shops for that price.
When it turned up i was a bit disappointed. It's double-ended, but each end is quite small, so not sure how long it will last as i use it everyday. The concealer also looked quite orange in the tube too, I had chosen the medium shade as that was my usual colour in things like this, and when i tried it on my hand, yes, it looked distinctly orange!!
I gave it a go though and first applied the hydrater, which is a pale see-through pink, using the tube's brush. I patted it in and it was soaked up immediately. This was followed by a few spots of the concealer under each eye, and i was very surprised that the product and it's colour blended in really well. I wear it over my usual...

Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush
Review of Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush by
lilyellowfish
Advantages: Provides maximum coverage, soft, gentle on skin, can double as an eyeshadow brush
Disadvantages: Expensive
...with eyeshadow and concealer otherwise you'll end up with eyeshadow buffed into your face. You should first apply your foundation, and then only apply concealer where it is then needed and under your eyes to conceal any dark circles or bags. Apply a small amount of concealer to the area then 'blot' into your skin with the brush, don't rub it otherwise you won't cover the area, you will just rub it over. If you blot it means your skin is more likely to absorb the product and cover the blemish.
The brush looks good, it is average sized, not too big that you can fit it in your make up bag yet not too small that you will loose it, it isn't bulky, it is about the same length as an eyeliner and a little wider. The handle is small and silver and remains clean throughout use and doesn't clog up and the bristles are brown in colour. The bristles...

Great for under eye area.
Review of Clinique Airbrush Concealer by
BananaNoodle
Advantages: Really works, doesn't go cakey.
Disadvantages: Can't see how much is left in tube. Not for use on spots.
...I decided to treat myself to some under eye concealer, so I spent ages going around various counters to try out lots. I'd heard it was important to get the right shade and that often people have problems with it caking and looking heavy - things I wanted to avoid.
I asked the ladies at the Clinique counter if they could help and they produced this. It glided on so smoothly and really worked. My only hesitation was the price. But when I saw how little was needed I decided to buy.
It has now become one of my favourite makeup items! It is brilliant under the eyes - you do have to use moisturiser first to make it glide on and it isn't suitable for spots as its illuminating. Also - I don't use the brush tip of the tube to apply it to my face, so I don't know if that works or not. I use a brush to apply it around the under eye area...

Excellent concealer
Review of Maybelline Concealer by
crazyforyou12
Advantages: Very good coverage, long lasting, doesn't aggravate skin
Disadvantages: None I can think of
...I use concealer to cover up dark circles under my eyes that I get when I am tired, and I also use concealer to cover up my spots. With other products I find that they are often too yellow based to use under my eyes, or too green, orange, or grey - I would have to find two seperate products to use for under my eyes and my spots (heaven forbid I get any!). Generally the pigmentation of cheaper concealers isn't great, and often dissolves after a few hours, but with this I find it lasts all day, and it covers everything - and well.
My skin looks flawless when I apply this, and the sponge applicator makes it really easy to apply.
The tube (like a mini mascara tube) is 7.5ml, and unless you cake it on (which you really don't need to), it lasts for ages, which makes it worth the £5 it costs (in Boots).
I did shop around for a better price...

All about unhappy eyes...
Review of Clinique All About Eyes Concealer by
nina_in_the_bedroom
Advantages: It will last a very long time.
Disadvantages: It's too heavy and didn't really do what it said on the tin.
...I brought this product on the recommendation of a girl I know who used to work for Clinique.
I was looking for a product to cover the slight dark circles beneath my eyes, they're not terrible, but adding some concealer around my eyes make me look much brighter. She recommended this concealer to me, because I also get puffy eyes sometimes (I'm slightly allergic to dust) and apparently this concealer will work to reduce puffiness.
I've been using this concealer for around 2 months now and I'm not overly impressed.
The concealer is very thick in texture, yet in order to get the coverage required to conceal my dark shadows, I have to put quite a substantial layer on to the eye area - which ends up looking fake. The concealer doesn't leave me with a natural-looking finish, if anything my eyes end up looking too bright. I've tried...

MAC Select Cover Up Concealer
Review of MAC Concealer by
katebwdn
Advantages: good coverage, long lasting, wide range of colours
Disadvantages: easy to dispense more then needed
...Fed up of using cheap concealer that either just did not cut it or made my skin worse, I decided to give MAC a try.
The assistant matches you up with a shade that suits you, and because there's a much larger range of colours then with cheaper brands, it's easier to find one that is an (at least almost!) perfect match for your skin tone.
They also have a variety of different concealers to suit what it is exactly that you are trying to conceal. I wanted one for both blemishes and under eye circles, and was reccommended this one.
It comes in a tube and you squeeze the concealer out onto the back of your hand and then use your fingers or a brush to apply it to your face. I was shocked how small an amount was needed to cover everything. It may only contain 10ml but I have had mine for almost a year now and I don't think I've even used...

This product shouldn't be concealed
Review of Clinique Airbrush Concealer by
dakota196
Advantages: brush application, stays on
Disadvantages: expensive
.... If you twist more than twice you get far too much on the brush and it gets wasted, but it's not easy to accidentally twist it as it has to click as you twist it.
********What's it for?
This is not foundation to be put all over your face. It is for moderate coverage of blemishes, under-eye greyness and disguising pores. So, while you only get 1.5ml (.05 fl.oz.) per tube, it can last quite a while (I've had mine since last summer). It needs to be dabbed on, patted with your finger, then layered again if necessary. Because it only goes on specific areas, it's important to get the right shade from the variations offered such as 'fair' and 'neutral fair' . It can be used on its own or under foundation for a really smooth finish.
********How much does it cost?
It's not cheap. The RRP is £15: Clinique counters can be found in department...

Got Dark Circles...Get Shiseido Concealer!!
Review of Shiseido Concealer by
jas19
Advantages: Very easy to use, good results, lasts ages and so many shades to choose from.
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest on the market, packaging doesnt last very long.
...I have the WORST dark circles, i look like ive had five rounds with Tyson...and lost! Ever since i turned 15 ive been through so many concealers, most of them making me look many different shades of grey, apart from shiseidos concealer for the under eye.
I first came across it at Harvey Nicholls. I tried it on and i was amazed. I have asian toned skin so finding a concealer that doesnt make my skin look like patches of pink and grey is a challenge, but this concealer had so many shades to choose from and actually matched my skin colour!! Yaaaaaayy! So i thought id go for it, yep go for it at around 20 quid for a small lil tube. So the price is not exactly friendly but the results justify the price, really it does!!
I went home and tried it the next day before i went out. All of a sudden i had been transformed from a patchy panda...

Boots No7 Instant Radiance Concealer
Review of Boots No.7 Instant Radiance Concealer by
kimbyanne
Advantages: Good coverage, really smooth
Disadvantages: None
...I brought the Boots No7 Instant Radiance Concealer after seeing it advertised on the Boots website. It looked really good, and it was just right for what i needed. I get really bad dark patches round my eyes from lack of sleep and staring at a computer screen at work most of the day. The Boots No7 Instant Radiance Concealer
promised to "reduce the appearance of dark under eye shadows and puffiness" and also " captures and reflects light so will brighten your complextion giving it a radiant and healthy looking glow". It comes in a black and gold package and its quite small and It cost me £11. It also comes in 2 shades, either 1 or 2, 1 is lighter so i chose that one as i have pale skin. The actual concealer comes in a kind of pen with a clicker button at the bottom. When you first get it, you have to click the bottom serveral times...
