Tony Hawks Underground (PS2)

Advantages: fantastic gameplay

...having previously bought Tony Hawks 2, 3 and 4, I was always going to get this. The major advantages this has over all other TH games is the fact that on this one you can actually get off your board and go around on foot. Also the story mode on THUG is much more in depth than previously before. The quality of gameplay is absolutely fantastic compared with the previous Tony Hawk games with very clear graphics and very few glitches, whereas on previous ones, I in particular, had a few problems with it freezing. In particular I found that actually skating round corners was rather difficult to control whereas on THUG the controls are near perfect and a vast improvement. THUG is so enjoyable compared to the previous games because the entire gameplay is much smoother, slicker and just seems more realistic. I havn't played any other...

They really took off when they transferred to the PS2 with the third in the series. I don?t think I was the only person, however, to wonder where they could possibly go from here. Advantages: Mass variety of cars, races and modifications.
Disadvantages: Playing for long (and i mean long) periods of time can become a little repetative.

...Where can i start? NFSU2 in my opinion is one of the best racing games i have ever played! It uses so many features that other racing games dont. I was pretty impressed when i foudn that you have to drive around to find races, or you can play the normal career game as a free run, as it is up to you when you want to enter races. Talking of races, NFSU2 has a great variety of races, these include, circuits, drifting, street X, sprints and drag races! By using these differnt types of races, it means that if you dont like a certain race, you can leave it till last as ther are plenty of others to be getting on with. It also makes the game less repetative and more easy going. Moving onto the cars themselves, NFSU2 offers a huge variety of cars.
